Cutting Curtain Bangs With Brad Mondo L Kaysha M.U.A
The last time I gave myself curtain bangs was using a Twinkle razor, so this time I decided to level up and try using sheers. I tried following along with the talented Brad Mondo here on YouTube to give me some ba-bangs! Let me know, do you think it turned out great or should I just leave it to the professionals LOL Also apologies for the audio, it was my first time recording with my mic, will do better :)

Hey guys welcome back to my youtube channel today we're going to be cutting curtain bangs following brad mondo's youtube tutorial that consists of using actual scissors, which will be my first time already have a bad history of cutting my own hair. So today shall be interesting. Let'S get started so step, one is gon na be to have wet hair. Okay, you guys are gon na see me look like a wet poodle in a second, and if i'm looking here, it's because i have a mirror here, because i need to see what i'm doing. Okay, oh, this is a look. Okay. What'S next is to do a middle part? Everybody loves a good middle part. These days we all know those are also very trendy. Yet we're gon na take the bangs back about two or three inches. That'S fine! If you want a very thin one go for it, but she told me she wants a thick one. She wants a big difference, a noticeable difference, and that is what you're gon na get. I want a noticeable difference, so we're gon na go for a thicker bang. I am really hoping. I don't regret that. Okay, don't i think, that's the best middle i'm gon na get okay, so he went for about two inches. I'M just gon na use my finger to guesstimate. It could help all right, so you should have this little triangle. Section right here so now i'm gon na quickly do the other side. Does she look symmetrical? I think so. I'M gon na clip the rest back. I say i'm pretty successful so far: okay, okay, all right kind of imagine what the bang is. Gon na look like bring it to the side and, honestly, let me go with the flow and just trust that i took enough hair. You can always go shorter. You can't go longer all right, so i'm gon na start up a little bit longer than that. Maybe right at the nose brad went a nose level. I'M gon na go to my upper lip because i'm just scared. I'M gon na be cutting this much guys. Okay, no, i think i'm gon na go a little bit longer because i'm scared, i'm gon na go to the middle of my lips, i'm leaning forward, because i have a garbage bag right here and i want it to fall on that also. I know i lift it up there, but hopefully that didn't change things. We'Ve cut this much hair, no going back now guys. This feels kind of short. Now to me add a little bevel. You see how it's so straight. It'S like girl! You got a ledge. I hate legends parallel to the parting and then i hold my fingers parallel to the parting. So all we have to do is cut off those longer pieces. Go. We are going to get a beautiful angle, okay, we're going to take this and then he says to over direct it to the other side. Okay, i'm losing hair pieces; okay, let's try that again, so take it pull it over and make sure my fingers are parallel. I want to show you guys what i'm cutting, but the same time. I want to see what i'm doing i want to use the moment of truth. I better get a beautiful ledge. I mean what is that? That is not cute. That is not cute. Okay, maybe when my hair dries a little more to look better, i want to see getting scared. Now i mean okay hold on. I see the angle there, but it's like my hair is just too straight. It'S just like stick straight right now: okay, pulling everything over parallel fingers. I can't really see what i'm doing. Oh, my god, that's a lot of hair! I'M cutting! Oh, do you guys see that? Okay? I think this side is way more successful than whatever was happening here. I think my hair was just too wet there. I mean we got that u-shaped thing going on it's coming. I am now gon na just blow dry, her hair, for you get it all nice and cute, and then we're going to go in and detail this okay. So i'm probably going to quickly blow dry, this too and hopefully i'll be able to blend it in with the rest of my hair, okay, hey, i kind of see it coming through. Okay, she is short. She'S short, oh man. I wish i kind of went a little bit longer and now just be careful and cut into the hair um yeah. You know i'm not going to lift up. I'M just going to have to do it like this, because i can't see. Ah, my god, i think i cut way too much over there. Okay got ta go slower like what he said slowly, oh my god guys. I think i cut way too much over there. No, we were doing so good, okay! Well, hopefully, that just okay! No, it's not blending, i don't know i can see it okay, you know what i'm done point cutting i'm not gon na point cut. No more we're good with that. Okay, i like to blend my hair in with the rest, so i'm just gon na take it like that and just follow the end of the fringe down to the bottom of her hair. Okay, i'm going just a little bit more ever so slightly all right! This side feels like there's so much more hair, just you just naturally, i have more hair on one side than the other. Okay, oh my god. This heads, i don't know how to position my arm, so it's definitely more challenging for me. Oh god guys. I don't even know how i'm doing this. I'M scared. I can't this is so much easier with the razor can't lie. This is the most uncomfortable position to cut hair ever all right that much. No, i definitely got ta go. I got ta cut more. I cut more if i can get in there. Okay, i think we're doing okay. This is so risky because i can't see - oh my god, no! No! I think i think i cut too much take her too much. I think i got too much. I do like the reason i'm freaking out. A lot is because this is usually the part where i really mess up and it looks like a dog chewed. My hair cute look at the way the bangs just seamlessly blend into the head. That is exactly okay, so he just goes off and styles the rest of the hair um. I'M gon na quickly try to style it myself and i will be back to show you guys the final product. I definitely do like it like more messier, but is this practical? I just did a quick little face to see how it looked with the hair, and i think it looks better in my opinion and final thoughts. I think it is a little short. It'S a little shorter than what i wanted to be. I wish it kind of like scooped down a little bit more over here to like hit my cheeks, but that is okay um in terms of the shape. I think i got it pretty spot on. So his instructions were nice and clear. I would just say, if you're going to try this yourself and you want me a little longer - definitely cut below your lips, because i should have really done that yeah, i'm still getting used to this hairstyle. It'S going to take me some time for sure on how to style it make sure like it works with my face, but for the most part, not really mad. I think that the next time we're going to do this i'll be better at it. Anna Riesenbeck: i made the mistake of following the brad mondo tutorial. His instructions are perfect but the same as this girl said, i cut them too short and they don't make the shape they are meant to because of that. They don't look terrible but hopefully when i style them they will look better. My highest recommendation to those out there who want to cut them at home by yourself. DON'T DO IT UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. it's not worth it and you can get the same effect and illusion with your normal hair length if you curl it a specific way. It is going to be a very long summer of headbands and hair clips until they grow out long enough to look better. good luck to anyone with a brave soul. P.S. if you think they don't look good and you already think you messed up. STOP. put the scissors down and don't cut anymore hair or you will regret it. i also made that mistake and that is why they are even shorter than how i started.
