How To: Cut Your Own Bangs! Straight Across!

So there's my hair, I just cut off by hair: hey guys it's Carly today. I wanted to show you how to cut your own bangs if you guys have been following me for a while, you know way back when I had blond hair. I had these straight across bangs and I really really liked them, but I got over them and wanted to grow them out, but now that I have brown hair, I want to give the bangs a try again. I really loved them. I just was like over them for a while, and I wanted the long bangs again so now they're brown here, I'm like okay. I really want them again, so I'm going to show you how I cut them. So, basically, what you're going to want to do are the way these are how long my bangs have grown, since I have like been growing them out. What you're going to want to do is you're going to want to section your hair into a triangle. Basically, what I did is got all my hair, that was this length and all my head. That was this length kind of like a way. These are the things that I cut last time. So it's kind of easy for me to know what I'm cutting but you're going to want to do a triangle on your head and how you can do that is you can take a comb on your head and where it lifts off, is where you're going to Want to start your bangs up up top, but you don't want to start your bangs too far forward because they can make your head look small and weird. So you want to make sure you do start it a little bit back and, as you can see over here, I just parted my hair down and also on this side. I parted my hair down, so I'm just going to comb through the bangs alright. So what I'm going to do is just take a clip and pin my hair all my other hair back. You also want to make sure that it comes over far enough on each side, so you actually have hair over there. So once you make sure you have hairs on each side that will cover your face on your on your forehead. Just give it a good comb through - and I just hold mine like this - and I'm going to be using these shears - that my mom uses my mom used to do hair for a few years. So these are actually professional, shears, um I'll recommend using a decent pair of scissors. For this you don't want to be like not cutting the right thing and it be all Jaggi so you're through and what I'm going to do is take twist. It grab it and then I'm just going to pull it down, pull it down, I'm going to start, you know longer and then go from there. So I'm going to cut it here and then here's my hair, I just cut off. So I'm going to go ahead and comb it through again do the same method, twist grab and pull down and then cut off some more and, as you can see, my bangs are kind of like flaring up right now, so I'm going to go curl them under. So how I would style them and then just slightly start to style them and point cut them, okay, guys. So, as you can see, I just kind of curled them under a little bit, so they weren't, like fraying out as you can see on the sides, are here they're longer, which is what I want, but I also want the top up here to be pretty blunt And straight so, this is when I just take my scissors and comb it through, and I just go um pretty much straight across and clip it in my eyelash and that's guys um, you kind of just have to you know, get up close and see like what You'Re cutting and stuff like that um, but I really really like them so far. I can't wait to put my intentions in and you know play with it and stuff. I think it's really cute um. I, like my things, a little bit above my eyebrow as you can see um just because they grow really fast and I really really like eyebrows. mimii3000: Sam Villa does a better version, look it up. Also, if you see a hairstylist regularly, they should give you complimentary bang trims so you don't have to do this. I give my regular clients complimentary bang trims.

I mean I could get them cut for five dollars but since I'm away from home and don't really feel like having to go find a hairdresser, I just decided to spend $11 to get my own hair trimming scissors and it's perfect for when I just need to get my hair out of my face!

Jarma: OK girl, you trim at the end, but be aware, when you take so much hair that you have to hack like that, you arent getting straight lines. You are creating split ends and frayed hair. It cuts some hairs and each scizzor slice cuts at microscopicly different levels, so BEWARE! You HAVE to trim after.Also...while it is ok to do hair like that, much thinner bangs dont make your head look weird. Lol
