Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so today I'm going to be sharing with you how to trim your own bangs at home. I really enjoy sharing tips with you guys to help save money and time, but this is one thing that I noticed many clients would come back for and pay nine dollars for a bang trim in my salon, when I regular haircut was only fifteen fifty, I felt Bad charging people nine dollars for a bang trim, so I thought I would share this little tip with you guys to get a great bang trim, really quick, while saving money and time so, let's get started. So, first of all, what you'll need is a comb. You can use any comb that has really fine teeth. I like this one for bang trims, because this really helps with parting, and I like the fine teeth and also you'll need a pair of scissors. You can cut your bangs wet, but what you'll need to look at is if your bangs are wet, they'll shrink about a half inch to an inch, so I really like to cut bangs while they're dry now with a bang trim. I really suggest holding your hair tight, but not pulling it down super tight, because if you pull your bangs down and cut them, they will bounce up and you'll have a really big problem really fast and they'll be way too short. So just follow along with me and I'll show you how to do it really quick. So I take my comb. I fill up the top of my head and there's a little bump. That will tell me how far to part my bangs back now, if you want a thinner bang, you can part a little bit forward, but I like to go right where that bump is so now that I have my section I'm going to comb it. So it's very sleek - and I can see right now where my guide is. My guide is right here now I'm just going to be chip cutting into my hair. That'S little diagonal cuts, so I'm going to just do that down the whole section, and this will take off the little tips and this will really help your bangs look. A lot better blend them in a little bit better and also you'll be saving some money. So that's perfect, so now that I have them cut, I go back in comb through them. Make sure I haven't missed any pieces, and if I have I go back through now, I drop my bangs and fill on. Look at them make sure they fill okay and look okay, if you want them a little bit shorter, just continue the step over again and you can modify it to the way you want just a little tip. When I trim bangs, I never go shorter than the top of the eyebrow. I usually always start at the end of the eyebrow, because that gives you a little bit of room, but I've noticed if you go shorter than the top of the eyebrow. It'S usually too short for the client or yourself. Also one last thing: you can use many methods, many tricks, many techniques to trim bangs. This is just one of many that I use and love. It'S a tried and true way to do it and I usually always get the same results that I want so just a little heads up. IamSonia: I've always cut my own bangs, but one time I've cut it too short and got scared so I never cut them ever again but now that I know the proper way to cut them I will try again and see if it does work for me.. Thank you for sharing this!

Kuronomegami: I always cut hair when it is dry because of the shrinkage factor. Such a helpful video. Thank you. Subbed

Silvia Turrubiate: I should have watched this video before I cut my bangs last month. I pulled them down and cut them diagonally. When I let my bangs free I noticed they were extremely short. But they've grown out since then. They look more natural now. I'm not making the same mistake again.

MrKongsMom: I've always wanted bangs... But I know they'd annoy me :) great tip though!!! Thanks for sharing!

Mariana Sá: i need to try this!!!
