*Warning, always be CAREFUL with scissors being near your eye! I'm used to sharp or metal objects being near my eyes- tweezers, eyelash curlers, and scissors for when cutting my own hair, but take caution to not be distracted while doing this and work in a safe comfortable environment. ^_^

Hey everyone momo kurumi here with a little tutorial on how to cut bangs such as this for easy, simple, uh, cosplay characters. Um. I use this on almost every weight that i do. A lot of wigs come with very, very long bangs, and that was because they want you to style it by yourself, because there are endless styles that you could do. What i'm here today to talk about is how to cut the bangs and not be as intimidated by it, because it's actually really really easy. I'Ve completely learned all of my techniques, all by myself and um, hopefully with some of what i talk about. You can also start doing it on your own, combined with some other tutorials and uh haircutting tips whatever it is, that um works for you. This is just how i do my legs. It may not be the best way, the most efficient way or the right way, but this is how i do it also beware of contacts i can't see further than this without contact, so i have more contacts, no matter what, but, if you're, not careful, you can Get fibers in your eyes so have your contact case ready in case anything happens to me. You need to take it out. Prepare your surface area or work area. Just lay down a sheet of newspaper. That'S really all you got to do. You can use a wig form, just be careful with wig forms. They tend to be smaller than your head, especially the female styrofoam head, because i styled one on one of those forms before and cut the bangs too short. So i generally just cut it on myself. If at all possible, so that i know and usually when i have a whole lot of length like this, i chop it up at least to just above eye level. And when you cut make sure your tabs on the side of the wig are both directly in front of your ear. This ensures that your wig is centered, make sure the back is in the back. It should be obvious on a wig like this, but on some shorter ones, you want the um elastic straps, which hook into little pockets. That goes in the back also make sure that your wig is a little bit higher up on your hairline, because um wigs tend to slide back a little. You cannot like if it's too long, you can always um cut it shorter. But if it's pulled down here and uh, you cut your bangs here when your wig starts pulling back you're, going to sort of have a high water pan, because you're going to go back up and it might not be the style of length that you originally want. When i cut my wigs, i usually have three tools with me: two trimming shears and some kind of funny tooth comb to brush away excess and to, of course, brush things down. These are, like, i don't know, seven or nine dollars at walmart very cheap and way better than using big clunky scissors. These are just plain scissors good for cutting off long lobs of hair. Just like that, you can get more expensive shears if you want, but these will do the job now. These are great for thinning they're called thinning shears. If you want that sort of feathery look, this is quite blunt or straight, so i just kind of comb it down a little bit and clip and just push it out. If you don't have one of those. What you can also do is take this and there's two ways i can thin. It start a little bit high up. You don't want to go too high and sort of shimmy on down just uh go back and forth with the scissors a little bit so we're pinching off the hairs in sections. This does take a little bit longer and um. Let'S say you have shorter hair that you also want to thin out. You can also go straight up cut straight up, make sure your hair is straight you're, afraid to practice on a real wig or something more expensive, just get a cheap one and practice on it. You can get dozens of cheap ones anywhere online party city halloween store anything like that. So all right, i'm gon na go ahead and style, my wig, so okay. So when i do um a sideswipe look, usually i stop right above the arch of the eyebrow as in like that's, where my part is, and if you hang it straight, it tends to be like a little bit long into the eye, since i'm side sweeping it. Just go over and you can style it even further kind of making it point here or you cannot choose to give the things volume, so you can do that with products and that's quite easy to do all right. Well, thank you for watching my tutorial on how to cut wigs. As you can see, i'm quite satisfied with what i've done so far. I haven't put any product in it. It'S just how i cut it. If you have any questions, leave them below. If you have any suggestions or ideas for future tutorials, so this is just a really really easy thing to do. Anyone can learn it. Anyone can pick it up. So good luck on your cosplay endeavors over and out e

Vanitas Vanilla: Thank you for this!@_@ I just got myself new, proper scissors for cutting hair and have to cut the bangs of my Aoba wig and I've never done this before so I wasn't really sure how to about it and I felt cutting the bangs while wearing the wig would be better because I can actually see where the bangs will land. Thank you,and also for showing how to thin the hair with the scissors because I wasn't able to get actual thinning scissors.
