Hi I'm T Cooper, I'm a makeup artist, hairstylist and co-founder of Metro. Look today, I'm going to talk to you about a cutting guide for long hair with bangs. Now bangs are something that are kind of personal to each person, because some people like bangs, that are kind of short kind of like that 40s Betty Grable kind of thing, some like them long right above their eyes, some like the slanted bang and some like long Bangs, so the first thing you need to do when you're cutting any bangs is figure out what you want to do. So if my model wanted a side bang, we would section the hair off to whatever side that she cuts her hair and then you'd ask her. She wants it longer like a longer layer like a graduated layer or she wants to straight across even bang. So then you would take your shears and then you would section it off like so we're not going to cut her hair. This time, though, next time, but if she wanted a full on fringe, you would take the hair and section it from right about the top of your head and comb all the hair forward. And then, once you talked to your hair stylist or if you're doing it yourself, you kind of decide where you want your bangs to fall. But my rule of thumb is wherever you want your bangs to fall. You cut them just maybe a half an inch longer, because once you curl them they're going to bounce up a little bit so say she wanted her banks to hit her right. There I'd cut the bang right there and I would go straight across and a motion and once you cut a line in a bang, you want to comb your hair in different directions, just to see where they fall, because you want to make sure no matter what Angle, your ball, your bangs fall out that they're going to be nice, and even so I hope this helps you out. I'M tee Cooper and I just showed you a guideline for cutting bangs and long hair.
