Cutting Hair At Home, Trimming Bangs

Hey! I hope you enjoy this process of trimming my bangs. I have gotten a few complaints about them, so I figured I would try giving them a trim. Shout out to David and Cheryel. Thanks for the feedback. Cutting your hair at home can be scary, always start with a trim first to get more comfortable.

Hi welcome to hermione faces i'm bethany, and today we are going to do something. That'S a pretty big deal. So stick around all right. This is what you came here to see someone who's, never cut bangs in their life, cutting their bangs for the first time now. I must warn you kevin told me not to do this. This is a hundred and something dollar haircut and i'm pretty sure that the idea of me cutting my bangs and screwing it up freaks him out. So we're not going to tell him until he sees the video which he inevitably will and then he'll be really mad about it, but i don't really care because this is what the internet's about it's about doing things you shouldn't really do, because that's why people watch Them no, so let's give it a try, i'm doing this, so you don't have to in my mind. I know i just need like a little trim. I can't remember when i got my hair cut. I think it's been a while make sure i have all my bangs, then i'm gon na hold them up to kind of see what i'm working with it kind of looks like it's shorter on the edges and longer on the top. Oh, you can't see. Where is that better, i'm lighting my frame? Oh, who cares? Let'S just do this before we get caught. I have two options of scissors. I have these ones, which are more for like texturizing and these ones, which are like real scissors. I'M gon na go in with the real scissors first right now, i'm just trimming in sections and then taking the previous piece that i had and using it as a guide. Oh, my goodness, i'm shaking shoot it is way longer on this side than it is that side. Oh, that's, not good! Okay! It is still quite a bit longer on that side. I know it doesn't look like i took much off and i'm sorry if you were here to watch someone fail, but, okay, maybe i will do a side-by-side comparison to show you the difference to see if you notice any difference, but i think that's it. So what i recommend, if you have to trim your own bangs, do it dry, don't do it wet, take off the smallest amount of hair and follow what's already there, because i noticed from mine it looked like mine was like a bend, so it wasn't about cutting Straight across it was actually cutting like in a c a little bit. So really look at your bangs if you're thinking about trimming it and follow what's already there unless you're trying a new style. But if you just want to trim follow the guide of what your hair is already at and just take off little by little, i do recommend getting texturizing scissors, because what i did so that it's not like a straight line - i just cut into it. So there's a little texture and it's not as noticeable it's not as blunt. I do cut kevin's hair. I am not a hairdresser, i do not know what i'm doing. This is not a tutorial on how to be a professional. This is just what i just did and if you like that, i want to try it at home. It'S how i did it. So thank you for watching this video don't forget to like and subscribe. I thank you for all your support and we'll see you on the next one. Bye

Keri Hatgirl: Bangs are high maintenance, to keep them from getting too long, they need to be trimmed every two weeks. I always hated it when I had bangs that the stylist would cut them way too short, so I grew mine out. My husband is the family barber and stylist, my teen boys get their haircuts every three weeks and I get my elbow length hair trimmed every couple months. Regular sharp hair shears only, I would not him use thinning shears on my hair as they cause split ends, and he wouldn’t waste his money buying them. It saves me a lot of money as it would be about $25 each for my boys and $100 for mine. I save over $1400 a year. Given that you cut your husband’s hair, if you had him trim your hair for you, it would definitely save you a lot of money. Here is the ay my husband cuts my hair. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=36Ry3Dpm3lQ Great job every time, my best friend likes his work and has him cut her hair for her regularly as well.

Cheryel Kielback: Good job! Cute, worth the watch.

AMAXX: Your channel is literally my new fav omg

Kevin McNab: I didn't even notice until I saw this video. Clever girl.
