Hi guys welcome back to another video today we're going to be doing a little tutorial. A lot of you have been requesting this video, because this is like a new trend for some reason and what i mean by that is a month ago. Some of you may or may not know that i cut my hair, so i got curtain bangs or just framing pieces. Many people don't see the difference um. It honestly looks the same. It'S just that the front pieces of my hair are short and they're like chin length right here um, so i actually left mine long and thicker than normal curtain bangs. I kind of made that mistake, but i still like it and it still looks really good. I'M actually going to be showing you guys how i style my curtain bangs, because a lot of people ask me how i do it um it's nothing, fancy! It'S nothing hard! It'S very easy and simple! There'S a lot of ways. People style like do their curtain bangs, but i'm just going to show you my preference and like what i do to make it look good. So this is what my hair looks like now: um, it's not done or anything i actually just got home from school and i didn't style it this morning. I actually had it up in like a half a pack down because i had to like wear a cheer bow, because it's friday i didn't do anything to it. I took a shower the night before so it's like you see an oily kinda, so it looks messier and it has a lot more volume than it usually does when i wash my hair, so i'm actually not going to wash my hair and like show you guys How i blow dry it because that's just like the same thing as blow drying my hair when it's wet with no curtain bangs. But since i didn't take a shower this morning, my hair becomes very oily and greasy. So i'm just going to be taking dry shampoo and this is by instant hair refresh it's like the sweetie and i don't really know it's just dry shampoo, so i just spray it all over the top of my head where the curtain things are. It does make your hair white, but that goes away. I'M an old grandma now yeah. What if i had gray hair? Okay it doesn't. It doesn't look like that, after that, most of us probably know how dry shampoo works. So you just flip your head over rub it in and it's still grey, but i promise it goes away. I don't know, i think i just use dry shampoo wrong all the time and i just so after you flip your hair upside down. You just brush it through and the grayness should go away. Now that my hair looks like it's just been washed, i am going to be plugging in my flat iron, so this is the straightener that i use it's very old. It'S from revlon. I don't even think you can buy it anymore, because we've had this for so long and it actually doesn't even close all the way, but we used to have a newer flat iron, but we used wax um, hair extensions and it ruins the flat iron so use. One that you're not gon na like use in the future, if you use hair extensions, i'm just gon na plug this in and let it sit for a minute okay, so the straightener is all heated up. So basically i put my hair down the middle. I think it looks better like in the middle, because it's like even on both sides, but you can probably still do a curtain thing on the side. I honestly don't know so there are my bangs, so one cool fact that um i found out so this one's thinner than the other one, because i have more hair on the left side of my head than my right. I don't know why. Um my hairdresser was like. Have you ever noticed that - and i said yes because when i curl my hair down the middle there's so much hair on this side and there's like so little on this side that it like takes me like 20 minutes, and this takes an hour - it's weird. So yeah, that's why they do look a little bit different anyways. So first thing we're going to do is we're just going to grab all the little bangs. I grab all the little bangs. I don't know why. I say we, it's like you guys are here doing it with me and basically brush it out, so it's smooth and then you're just going to let it droop kind of like a you in a way. Take the flat iron and you put it like in the middle of the little droop, and you just like hold it there for a few seconds, not too long, because it creates a crease and it'll look weird, but we play with it along the way. So it looks better, you have to keep doing it a couple of times, because, honestly it doesn't stay that long. It also depends on the type of hair that you have. I have thick like coarse hair, so it honestly doesn't hold anything. I have to keep doing it for really really long time. So basically it just makes it like curve that way like away from your face like the ends, so i'm gon na do the other side. It doesn't do much for me, but if i don't do it, i feel like it looks weird so and then you put it middle of the droop hold this piece up at the end. You can go out farther, so it gets closer to the end, because that's where you want them to curve that i don't know if you can see that they just kind of sit there and i just shake it out. A little bit didn't really do much, but i promise it does something. So the next thing that i do to get like the little swoop on the top. This is what everyone asked me like. How do i get my hair to do that? So you take the flat iron like this and you're gon na twist forward, like so so like the hair is like going over the flat iron and then you just hold there for a little bit and then pull back, and then it creates like a little wave Kind of, but you just have to play with it, to make it look more natural because it honestly does look weird at first because it's like it literally looks like that. Then you do the same thing on the other side. Put it on the hair twist forward and just hold there, so here's what it looks like up close my hair is really frizzy. I apologize about that um, but it's like two little waves. It looks weird trust me, i know, but the whole point of curtain bangs is to create that, like effect where it like turns away from your face and you're supposed to have a lot of volume on top and my hair doesn't have that, so it just depends On the type of hair, so you can do this or just do the other methods that i'm going to show you um, but i do this and i just think it looks better with my hair. Throughout the day it does flatten. So it'll look more natural. Some of you are probably thinking - oh my god, that's so ugly, but whatever last thing that i do to like get it to curve more, is i just put it right here and then i twist outwards kind of like you're curling, your hair and, as you can Tell the hair is going that way and then i'm going to do the same thing on the other side, turn away from the head kind of like how i curl my hair, but this one is a little bit more curled than the other one. So i'm just going to keep brushing it out until it stops curling so much i just kind of want the ends to do that wave effect. Honestly, you can probably change it up. Instead of doing the whole strand of the bangs, you can just do the ends like this and just curl them away from your head and it'll do the same thing. So another thing you guys can do to make the waves on top look a little bit more natural. I sometimes do this. It just depends on how my hair is looking, so i actually take a few pieces behind like the front bang part, and i do the same exact thing i did to create the wave because it creates more volume throughout the whole head. So it's not just like poofy right here so you're gon na do this put the flat iron on your hair and turn forward twist forward, and just let it sit for a couple of seconds so and then, as you can tell it like, is sticking up it. Just gives you more volume like in the back of your hair inside the back of your head, so it literally isn't just like one poofy curve right here. I just think it looks better. I'M gon na do another section in the back and like the far far back, and then it just gives you volume, but after you do that just brush through, so it's not so pretty and ratty. My hair is so poofy now. So here is the aftermath of doing all those little steps. It'S literally not much it's you. Don'T really have to do much to curtain bangs because they're just little strands of hair but yeah, that's kind of like what i do to get my hair to look voluminous and just like the way it does with curtain bangs i mean it's not the best. There'S some other methods out there that i think are probably a lot better and there's a lot of other tutorials, but i guess this is just how i do it. It'S not much like. It literally is so simple, but so many people were asking but yeah. I just wanted to show you guys the tutorial, because everyone was asking you know this. Video is probably going to be very short and simple apologize about that. There will be longer videos in the future um, but this was just a simple tutorial, so i hope you guys enjoyed today's video make sure you give this video a big thumbs up. If you enjoyed it and i'll see you all very soon, back with more videos. Bye guys, you

Reem Khan: The actual content starts at 3:48 thank me later

Kyleigh Elmore: i just impulsively cut mine at 11pm and now im here

Betsy Chiu: There's an easier and faster way actually, I used to have bangs, and now it grew longer and became a curtain bangs kinda. The way I did it was gather all the shorter hairs, hold it up straight, use a flat iron to curl it backward from the roots of your hair, and they'll fall down perfectly also created the volume. At least this method works for me.

weeeeee: why is everyone in the comments acting like they started curtain bangs you didn’t, calm down child

Rhea: Haha when Emma got scared by her mom, that’s happened to me before, I didn’t see my mom walking in and then she just appeared lol

Gigsome: A very interesting way of styling it. My hairdresser would actually blow dry the hair in a curl/wave backwards. Then it just falls naturally into a wave at the side of your face.
