I Cut Curtain Bangs And I Regret It!!!

It'S a new year new me, i'm vlogging every day of february, but i guess that means it's not a new me, because i'm doing the exact same thing that i did in 2020. - oh god that can't be good. Did i cut bangs? Not yet am i going to yeah, i think so so these are obviously not real. These are clip and bangs. Yesterday in my live show on valentine's day, i said i wanted to cut bangs and i started putting on all these different clipping, bangs and um. Ever it was like half and half half people like do it, you should do it and half people were like. Don'T do it look so bad on you and i've always not done it, because it looks bad on me. I had bangs once a very long time ago, back in my like dark, i'm learning how to be an independent woman phase. When i lived in manhattan, i wore black every day i had like straight weird wispy, but also thick bangs, they're, very, like stringy, and like straight hair. That was like my jam for a while. They were like combat boots and our clothes. They looked horrible like they looked horrible, i'm looking in the viewfinder and honestly, i'm still horrible, but, like i still kind of want to do it, so i've talked about it for so long. I feel like i can't talk about it anymore unless i'm just gon na. Do it, obviously i want to do it because i've been talking about cutting bangs for like years literally years, i've talked to you guys about how bad i want to cut bangs, and you guys are always like. Don'T do it, you will regret it. My friend, christina who's, been one of my best friends since i was 11 years old over 20 years. She and i have both gone through our fair share of bangs. We both have gone through bangs and been like. Oh, that was a pain in the butt and she said to me. She was here and she said to me: um colleen don't get bangs you'll! It'S not that they'll. Look bad on you, they're, just a pain in the butt like. Do you not remember how much of a pain in butt - and that is true, like you - do - have to style them every single day, because i have curly hair, so i'd have to like style them, but here's. The t is that someone online was like try wearing clip and bangs for like a whole day and see how you feel and then do it. So i'm wearing clipping bangs right now and looking in the viewfinder of my camera. I think it looks horrible like i think it looks really really bad, but it looks terrible, but these i also remind myself - these are literally clip in bangs, so they're not styled like. I would do more of like a curtain. Bang look where i would have bangs, but then i would also have like you know it wouldn't just be like straight. It would be like they taper into my hair is like kind of what i would go for. I think so. This isn't really what it would. Look like, but it's kind of what it would look like, so i don't know. Sometimes i look in the mirror with this and i'm like. Oh, i love it and then sometimes i look in the mirror. Then i'm like that's so ugly, like. I cannot do that. The hard thing with banks is, you can't go back like if you do it, it's done, they can grow out, but, like i don't know, i feel like looking at it right now in the viewfinder, i'm like regretting it already, because i think it looks horrible. The thing is, though, i'm still in quarantine. I'M gon na be in quarantine for a while. I'M not gon na see anyone in person. I'M gon na see you guys every day on the internet. I don't know like. Oh, it looks really bad guys see right now. They'Re clipped in i have a middle part. I think a side part would look worse. Yeah. I don't know it all. I don't know it's so hard to tell with the clip in so i know the clip it. I know if i cut my own bangs. It would not look like this. Oh my god. I hope it wouldn't look like this, but maybe it would so that's. What'S scariest, i don't know, but i'm more checking to see if it bothers me, because i do remember now that i'm wearing these, i remember when i had bangs they would itch my forehead so all day i'd be like, and then the oil from my forehead would Get in the bangs and they would get like greasy by the end of the day and like i'm, starting to remember reasons why i didn't like having the bangs and also when you grow them out. It'S like really awkward because they like it to this really horrible length, and it's just no good, i'm remembering all of these things about bangs and now that i'm looking at it, the more and more look at it. The more i'm like that doesn't even look like me. It doesn't fit my personality, but i still kind of want to do it so bear with me i'm wearing bangs today and you might be seeing me cut my bangs today and if the title of this video is, i cut my bangs like i literally did so. You keep watching, i literally will do it um and if the title is not, i cut my bangs um spoiler alert. I probably didn't cut my bags. Okay, bye, okay, so everyone online is seeing to get curtain banks, and so i did my hair in a style that, like kind of emulates imitates what simulates that root curtain bangs. So basically, what i did is, i just took my the front pieces of my hair and curled them back, so it kind of would give this kind of a vibe, except it might be like these hairs here would be like to hear ish and kind of go Like womp, i think this this looks horrible on me, i mean maybe curtain bangs with like a little wispy kind of a long, bang, okay, but i think this looks horrible. I think i look like this kind of a dog. That'S what i think i look like, because i have a long thin face and a big nose, so i feel like when i have my hair parted down the middle. That'S what i look like like that's what i see when i look in the mirror, when my hair is parted down the middle, because here's the thing i could cut. I hate this, but i could cut curtain bags and then i can turn curtain bangs into regular bangs, because i know i wouldn't like this. This is just not the kind of style that i think looks good on me. Even if i had like the short bangs - and i did like that - that's not a good look guys. I don't i'm really just not a fan of curtain bangs. You know what i mean like that. That'S not good! Look on me. I don't know, i don't know. I want to do it, i want to do it a tow truck. Oh, my goodness, i see it. Look it's right there. It'S a tow truck. We'Ve decided to go on a little adventure and get some food that isn't peanut butter and jelly at the house or a burnt quesadilla. We'Ve decided to go to a restaurant, not even inside the restaurant, we're picking up food at a restaurant and eating outside away from other humans. This is a big deal for us, because we never do this. We never do this, but we're being safe. We got our masks and we're gon na go eat. Some yummy food we've decided to go in the pool. We have not been in our pool little hot tub. We haven't been in our pool in so long like literally since the summer, and so we turned the hot tub on to a nice. Warm temperature flynn. Is this so fun, so we're gon na have some swim time. That'S what we're doing stand up hold my hand. Wait and you're gon na jump right here, just good job all know this hot tub is not like hot top temperature. It'S just like warm pool temperature. Also, we started her to teach him how to swim during the summer when we were in the pool every day, but then we haven't been in the pool since the summer. So now it's time to learn to swim bubba. So you don't wear those floaties anymore. We'Re going to learn to swim, so we need to get him a swim teacher. It'S like it's hard because we wanted to get him a swim teacher, but then the copic stuff. I don't know how to do it so we're teaching this weekend. My dad taught me how to swim. I didn't have a swim teeter, that's like it's very fancy, but he's pretty good. He almost had it before before um we stopped coming in the pool like the end of summer. I feel like he was really close to being able to swim. He could go under the water and he could hold his breath. He'S really good at it. We'Re working on just you know so don't come for me and be like all the things eric and i are good parents, coughlin he's having so much fun. Did you have swim lessons? Is that a thing that everyone has in the world? I never had swim lessons. My dad just taught me how to swim in a motel six pool. I know it's important and we need to do it, but i didn't never had one. Ah gus is outside flynn. Ah, oh, no, don't you jump on dead, okay. I'Ve lost my mind, but i'm gon na cut my bangs i'm gon na. Do it should i not do it okay hold on. I asked on instagram. I know this isn't even a big deal. I bet people watching are like it's literally bangs like who cares. I did a poll and i said, should i do what i should have known and 90 769 people said? Yes, do it it's a bad idea, but yes, 39 474 people said absolutely not you no 70. 30. see look 70. 30.. The fact that there are 40 000 people out there who, like absolutely not one of my best friends john he's a fabulous fabulous man called me and texted me multiple times. I was like do not do this. Please do not do this, like don't do this colleen we've been through this before this is a bad idea. My best friend, christina messaged me was like do not do it. It will be so bad. Don'T do it so, like my personal, like friends in my own life, are all very anti these banks eric's on board. He was joking around earlier, like he's like i just want, you know like. I would love it if you did like. I think you look so pretty and like i think he thinks i should dye my hair purple. He thinks i should go full on like damn hair purple and cut bangs um. He just wants me to get it done professionally, which i'm not doing corey's in support. Corey'S, like i think i look good. Why not you know? So this is what i'm gon na do i'm gon na shower and then i'm going to cut curtain bangs tonight, which i don't think will look good on me. Curtain bangs are essentially this it'll, be like this long. You know, and so they'll be like this. Okay, that's what it'll look like. I don't think current things look good on my face, but it's just like i'm easing into it. You know what i mean, so i'm just like easing into the bang and then i can always cut real bangs from curtain banks, but i can't make curtain bangs out of regular rings. So tonight i'm just gon na do curtain bangs. I think you know i'm scared. I don't even like curtain bangs like, but i just feel like that's what i should start with. I feel like it's literally gon na just look like how my hair is currently styled. It'Ll look like the shortest pieces will be like here. You know what i mean like it's literally just gon na look like this all right, i'm gon na shower and then i'm gon na cut my hair. Okay, take a shower again. Like i said i don't think green things will look good on me. This is a curtain bang. This is a girl with brunette hair about the length of mine. Those are curtain bangs, i'm very afraid, i'm going to cut them wrong and they're going to look like this, which i don't think that looks good, no offense to her. I'M sure she's a lovely person, but i don't think that looks right or i could really botch it and look like this again she's a queen love her, not a fan of those bangs. Where are you going? I think? Well tonight, i'm not going for eric's here for moral support, i'm not going full on bang, even though that's what i want, i want like bangs and bangs, but i figure i can start with a curtain bang which is what's trendy right now, which is like these. I don't like this, i think, that's ugly and you know how to cut that yeah. I watched your video today. Oh so that's training. Your people go to school for this yeah. You know we know people that yeah but see like that. Then it's like, you have to make an appointment and then i don't want to do it anymore, i'll chicken out and it's like okay and then there's the center of like three hours of the mask on yeah and again so you're referencing pictures of other women with Banks, like you, have pictures of yourself with banks right yeah, but those things were bad because that's a different kind of bang. Well, those aren't see like are even has curtain bangs right now. Are you sure it's not just a it's just the way? It'S parted. I'M sure those are a little yes they're shorter. Okay sure did she cut those herself? No, of course not. Oh, my god. I'M scared, because i don't like curtain wings. I think they're so ugly, no offense, but yeah. You didn't like that. That girl that had the girlfriend, no, i just literally, was saying yeah. I was half listening to what you're saying. I'M just i'm here to support you um, as you go through this mental crisis, see look. This is curtain bangs living it's just like a middle part, but with like more of a bang, it just looks like it's parted in the middle. I don't and it's like styled in a way. So you look like i know, that's why it's like kind of like my yeah, like what's the point, if it doesn't look like a bang like, should i cut things, i'm scared see i like, like a bang like, i want to bend and the curtain bang. I don't think it's gon na look good on me. I think i'm just gon na look like i'm in the 70s. It'S literally, we know what i look like with the middle part. I think you look amazing, you look great and i think it's like it looks good when your hair is like wavy. You know what i mean yeah, i wouldn't straighten it. It was straight, never be like a messy wavy. I think that's exciting yeah. I said uh who's, this she looks like hilary duff. This girl see some people have curtain bangs with like things in the middle and some people. Don'T i don't know what to do. I'M scared, i'm nervous. Okay, i'm just gon na like do it and see what happens. I wan na morally support you and i think whatever you do like you will look amazing, but i just know that this experience is just going to be you freaking out and squealing the whole time. You do it right, yes, okay, so this is me with the middle part rain scenes. So what the guy said the hairdresser. He said, you part it in the middle and then you go like. However, far back you want it like, you, don't think they recommended. You can use like anyone can do this. They do this at home. No, you i'm. I definitely should not be doing this like someone else, someone there's lots of tutorials on how to do it, but it was how to teach someone how to cut another person's head or their own, their own okay. So the thicker you want the farther back. You go, but i want to start really small, because i'm terrified, since you don't know what you're doing are you gon na be okay? If you, if you're, not happy with what you do i'll be like you're, a hack, i'll love whatever you do, i'll love it, but if you're unhappy are you gon na, be okay i'll, be a hat wearing girl? What kind of hats are you going back to like those conductor? Hats? Oh, never! Don'T even get started on my conductor, hat phase for the curtain bangs. I don't have that kind of comb, so we're already starting off ready to fail. I think they're supposed to be like here like they're supposed to be like pretty long, but oh my god, i'm scared. Okay, should i just do it? That'S so much hair level, you're, just gon na cut straight across well yeah, and then you style it then i'll. Then i'll do this, oh, but at first yeah first, you just have to cut it and then you go in and like i also feel like, i barely have taken any hair down. I feel like a lot. I should start longer and then i can get shorter. You know what i mean: okay, guys here we go, i'm gon na. Do it it's gon na look bad because curtain banks will look bad on me, but then i think real bangs might look cute on me eventually, once i am brave enough to do that. Oh, my god, i feel really insane. I feel like i'm gon na regret it. Could you just do it yeah, i'm not gon na tell you he's not gon na. Do it just go for it just go for it and if it's ugly, who cares it'll, be a funny meme? Okay, i'm gon na go really long. I should just do it. I'M scared, i'm nervous. Okay. So that's obviously not a bang, but i'm getting there. Okay, guys, i just had to do this, you can keep it yeah. I'Ve done the first, that's the hardest part! Okay, i did it and i've committed so now i have to do it, so this is obviously like the smallest one on here. I feel like i'm going to have to end up doing a lot more than this, but okay, so now i think it already looks good. I'M serious daisy's so stressed she like knows this is a bad idea. Curtaining should be shorter than that, but i don't know if i do that, i'm insane okay, see it already is like looking like more like current bangs, so now you're supposed to do part down the middle. You link shrink. You go like this, take it and go this way, so it's parallel to that and then you cut it that way so that it like layers. I think that's not nice to that part of the tutorial. I think i was kind of paying attention, but like not really i've lost my mind. We'Ve been quarantined too long, love, okay, so these are really long. Oh, my god, this looks so bad already. It looks so bad already and i like, haven't even write it. Yet it already looks horrible. I don't know why we were thinking. This is gon na be bad like have you seen our son's hair like i got his hair, i'm gon na keep working on this and then i'm gon na dry. It and then we'll see what happens. Oh, my god, it looks so bad. I wan na die. Oh no, it looks so bad okay, so i'm not keeping this i'm gon na cut bangs tonight. I cannot even have this for a singular day, like i literally despise it first of all, you're, probably thinking i can't even tell but look you're like here here right. Okay, horrendous, it looks so i can't even figure out how to make it look, not the ugliest i've ever been in my life, nothing about it is attractive. Nothing about. It looks like this beautiful vivacious, human, absolutely, not so i'm gon na cut bangs. I knew i wouldn't like these. I thought maybe like maybe i'll, do it and just somehow it'll be like perfect and i will love it and then i'll keep it, but, like literally i've, never hated the way i looked more in my life. I already am regretting this eric thinks i should sleep on it. He thinks i should sleep on it and then in the morning decide what i'm going to do. I just want to cut them now. I just want to do it. I just want to get it done, cut bangs and just have to be done with it, and it's done and i've done it and my hair is cut and i have bangs because i know i'm not going to wake up tomorrow and suddenly like this, like. I think i look like one of those dogs with a long shaggy hair or like a character from like some 70s movie, or i just think this looks really ugly. It doesn't look like i cut bangs. It just looks like a weird haircut. Yes, so i'm gon na make cookies right now and like let it fester for a minute. Eric wants me to wait till tomorrow. I want to do it right now, i'm going to make cookies first, i'm going to edit the podcast a little bit and then i'll decide if i'm going to cut the bangs tonight. This is just side. Part me typical. This is how, like my hair, always is just like: hey, what's up like i'm, just like i'm a side part because, like i'm, an old woman, i'm a millennial like i live for my side part you know, and then this is what literally everyone was like. Don'T cut bangs get curtain bangs, i get curtain bangs and i'm literally uglier than i've ever been in my life. Like are you kidding who thinks this would look good on me? Like i hate this, it's awful i'm gon na get bangs. Okay, i cut the curtain. Bangs a little bit shorter in like the center section, it still looks so bad on me. I don't know how girls do this and like look cute, i just look so horrendous with these curtain bags. So here's the deal i'm gon na sleep on, i did cut them a little bit shorter. So like it's looking a little better only because i hate it, i'm not keeping this, but only because i can sort of tell what it will look like with real bangs cause like hear me out. Okay, just hear me out so imagine this, but like bangs, i don't know guys. I just feel like i don't know what to do. The curtain bangs are not it like get out of here. I hate them. I cannot believe i did this. I have lost my mind, i'm gon na cut bangs. I think i'm gon na do it tomorrow. This just this hairstyle is not me guys. I know it's like what's trendy, but it's like it's literally hideous on me. I think tomorrow, i'm just gon na like cut some bangs. Oh no! This is a horrible idea. Why didn't you guys tell me this was a bad idea. I mean, i know you guys have been telling me for years to not cut bangs but like. Why didn't you make me? Listen to you! I got ta go it'll, look better tomorrow tomorrow. When you see me in the vlog, i'm gon na cut actual, like i'm cutting real bangs, okay, okay, good night, okay, guys it's been a little bit of time. It'S 1 30 in the morning now so i've let it like sit and let it simmer, and i still hate it. I look so gross. I hate it, so i'm not mad that i did it. I will say that, because i'm excited to fix it like i'm excited to have like bangs, do you know what i'm saying this is not the look that i'm going for. This is not the look that i want so um there you go. I did it, but it's gon na be different soon, because i'm gon na go full on bang soon, but so many people wanted these curtain bangs on me. So this is what they look like there. You go, you see it enjoy it because you'll never see it again because i'm getting rid of it tomorrow, but tonight i'm living with it.
