Gracie Lou: Tips for cutting your bangs at home. 1) start in a small section, not a large triangle, and add more hair if you need to, then you’ll be less likely to make mistakes 2) always cut using minimum tension and to the nose, your bangs will bounce up once cut so if you pull them down tightly they will be shorter than you expect 3) use small scissors, and definitely not kitchen shears as they give choppy texture and are not precise, very carefully point cut into the bangs to soften the texture once you’ve made your cut 4) if you have a razor like the ones used to shave lip, and brow hairs, very gently feather it against the outer perimeter of your bangs to soften the look and blend it into the rest of your hair 5) always cut them dry and without any styling products in them so that the texture and natural falling position is true to form 6) invest in a mini flat iron so that styling them in the morning is quick and easy!

Hannah: Advice from me who has bangs for about 7 years (and always recutting them myself lol): Cut them while your hair is dry, twist the hair a bit (so the outer parts are longer), start with a few strains, you can always add more, cut them a bit longer than you like them to be (styling them will usually shrink them a bit and again you can always take away more) AND: just do it. Theyre worth it, you might hate them at first but youll start to love them and they look super cute! Also its just hair. Do what makes you happy at 3am
