Hello, everybody. I need curtain bangs, my hair is boring, i feel so today i'm going to cut my own bangs and i'm gon na hope that it somehow looks amazing. So i have watched one tutorial on youtube on how to do it and it's by this girl named arriba pervaze shout out to you girl. This was a great tutorial and basically i'm going to do exactly what she says and i'm going to hope that it's going to look as amazing as her hair looked at the end. If it looks terrible, i have a hair appointment booked for like two weeks time and i'm sure she'll be able to fix me um and sort everything out. But let's hope that there's not going to be any issues and my hair looks great and the bangs suit me, so i've decided to go with curtain bangs because i like to have my hair out and it's already quite long. I used to have like a a blunt fringe a number of years ago, and i quite liked it, but i just don't want to go there again. So this is what i'm going to do today and hopefully it's going to make my face open, and i don't know i don't know what all the benefits are of curtains bangs. I just think that they look good, so, let's get into it. Okay, so i already have this kind of uh little kink in my hair here, where i've had my hair tied up, i can't bother getting it out to be honest because i'm gon na fix it all up after i've cut my bangs so apparently, according to a Reba, what i have to do is find use my comb and find the top of my head, and so to do that you are supposed to place it on the top of your head and when the comb sits flat, that's it that's the top. So i think that's it so around around there right, then you find the arch of your eyebrow, of which i don't really feel like. I have prominent arches in my eyebrows, so i think it's like kind of like there and there so you join it from here. So now i know that it's that little bit find the top of my head, which is around there. You go around. I feel like i'm already butchering this. Whatever oh my gosh, i forgot clips. Okay, i need to get hair clips. Oh that's not straight! Oh, my gosh, that's terrible! No! Maybe i'm not pressing hard enough! Oh my gosh! You guys! How do people do this? This isn't even straight. Okay, that's gon na do that'll be fine. All right! I'M gon na go get some hair clips. Okay, i'm back! I have little hair clips, so i've got my section, it's pretty neat that'll do and then i just clip that up. I think. Okay, now i'm going to do the same thing on the other side, so find the arch of your eyebrow go from the exact same spot at the top curl around until you find in line with the arch, let's see how straight that is absolutely appalling. This is way harder than i thought guys. I honestly thought this was going to be easy. Well, if you've watched this far, you know that this is basically not a how-to video. This is just watching somebody attempt to be a hairdresser all right. I'Ve got the two bits clip that up there two now i need to find out what i'm supposed to do with it. My daughter's like she's, watching okay, i clipped the wrong bits. I wasn't supposed to clip this bit. I was supposed to clip this bit so that this hangs out and stays nice and clean okay. Well, that makes more sense. Doesn'T it my daughter just said i look like a poodle. Oh my gosh. I'Ve just lost it. Oh, this is a disaster front. Okay! Here we go, i've got my bits. Should i do what she's done? Should i wear it? Should i follow the instructions, do what she's done? I also don't think mine looks like hers. Does now that i'm looking mine looks curved and hers went straight across. I think i've made a mistake, guys, okay, that looks better. That looks more like what the girl had. Okay, according to her i'm supposed to go and wet this now. So that's what i'm gon na do i'll be back, so i've gone and wet my hair off camera and now it's wet, and apparently this helps to have a straight cut a clean cut. This is turning out to be an absolute disaster. Oh lord help me so i want to keep it at chin length apparently, so i take my comb and i comb underneath and then i take two fingers and slide it over the top until it's about chin length, and then i cut it. Okay, here we go. Okay, so now these are cut, i split it back into the middle, and i have two very distinct. I'M looking at my husband off camera. He thinks if this is not not good, i can tell by his face okay guys. This is how much hair i just lost. That'S a lot of hair and, to be honest, i'm feeling pretty nervous. Now i've got to angle it i'll leave this one off to the side. I'Ve just done that. I pull this out angle. It this way pull it out, use my two fingers to push it all the way to the edge, and then i'm just chopping this little bit here, and this is going to give it a nice angle. Look it actually does wow, that's actually really cool. Okay - let's see so next, i need to feather my bangs so that they look nice and soft, and even so i comb it out and then what i'm going to do is just knit into it a little nice and gently so that it doesn't look like i've. Just taken mass chunks out okay, so if i want to blend the bangs in so i've unclipped my hair now, my hair is obviously going the wrong way. The way it's drying. So i'm going to have to get my straightener or my curling wand and curl them out to go that way and then, if you just want to have like a nice blend, i'm basically going to just trim in a little bit into this area of my hair. So that they blend really well, oh, my gosh not naughty hair. They end there. So i'm just going to add a little bit feathering on the edges and, like i said my hairdresser can fix it if i've totally stuffed it so i'll undo this side as well. All right so far they look terrible. I'M gon na go and try and blow dry them and curl them a little bit the other way. So they fan around my face. I will be back okay, i am back and basically i went away and styled my bangs and the way that i did this is, i just straightened them. So the ends were straight and not wiry and going off in their own direction, and then i slightly curled with my um flat iron. I slightly curled them out. So it's got a little bit of a like very toned down. Farrah fawcett vibe. I feel um. I think it's going to be a lot more maintenance than i originally anticipated. Just because i don't know a whole lot about styling. I'Ve always had quite long hair with not a lot of layers, and so it's been a while, since i've had to style my hair. So yeah, this is the final look. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments what you think, what i love about this style of like long curtain bangs, is that you can also feature them when your hair is up as well, and i just feel like that's a nice look. I like to have a little bit of hair kind of feathering. My face, i feel like it makes them look a little bit like makes me look a little bit more um. I just got a bit of a feminine edge to it, which i like and a bit of a 90s look as well, where they had quite a lot of hair surrounding their faces. So you can do it that way as well or you can wear it out and yeah i'm going to have to get used to them, but i'm i'm pretty happy with how they look. I think they look good if you, like fashion videos, beauty videos, please check out my channel and watch the other things that i have made and subscribe to the channel. It means a lot and i would love to have you along uh for the fashion journey. Thank you so much and i will see you in the next video bye
