Hey guys, what's up it's fern, we are doing another hair update today. I have officially passed the six month mark yesterday, actually which is so crazy. I know i say every time that the time just goes by so quickly, but it truly does like it's. It'S just felt like a flash, so today, i'm just going to talk a little bit about the current state of my hair. Show you how long everything is talk about how i've been styling it my feelings, you know stuff like that. I do have a four month update a two month update and a video where i shave my head, so i will link the playlist down below if you're interested in checking that out so yeah. Let'S just talk about what's going on right now, so if you have been following along this journey, you would know that i vowed not to dye my hair again and obviously i broke that i have dyed my hair um, although just two sections i've dyed half my Bangs and i dyed this little piece right here - i just bleached them. Obviously, now i just kind of did this on a whim. I mean not really. I had been thinking about it for a while and i'd like posted on my instagram story and did a poll most people said that i should do it because the last time actually, i was growing up my buzz cut. I did something similar. I had shorter bangs and i did the split die thing before it went down a little farther too i'll insert a photo, but i really liked it, and i don't know i just kept thinking that that would kind of spice up this, like middle of the grow Out phase that i'm in because i really am just like in the thick of it like my hair - is getting to the point where it's quite grown out. It'S getting long, but i'm still, i still have a ways to go as you can see. So i was just bored really, so i just decided one night, you know f it i'm just gon na do it and i did and i deeply regretted it for the next couple of days i was like. Why did i do that? Like i really wanted to not dye my hair, i just felt i just felt like the guilt of breaking a promise to myself. You know so that really sucked, however, after that, i really warmed up to it, and i was glad that i did it. It does just add a little bit of fun to this. Like weird hair style, i have going on, and i feel like you know, as a former like hair dye, addict, it's kind of my way of like easing myself into having my natural hair color. Although i will say that yes, i want to grow my natural hair color out and i want to see it, but once it's like grown out, i'm trying to make it to at least a year, and then after that, i think, if i want to put highlights In or something then i'll probably do that, but in the future i don't think i'll ever be like solid dyeing, my hair, like bleaching the whole thing or like doing anything too crazy. I really just want to do. I really want to have like the type of hair, where i only have to touch it up like every like 12 to 18 months, like i really wanted to just be able to like grow out and be like pretty natural and just like messy kind of vibes. You know, but for now i obviously have this little bleach bit here. I almost cut it to you guys and i told myself i wasn't going to cut it. I wanted to grow up my bangs and then do a blunt bob. That'S like my current goal. I don't know how long like the 12, 12 or 14 16 month mark will probably be when i can like cut, do like an actual like cut, which i'm very excited for, but i almost changed course there as well and cut my bangs, but i have not. I have left the scissors off um and i'm just going to let them grow. I will say i did like the tiniest trim like just like a dusting of the very tips of my bangs, just because i had bleached these and i wanted to get like the very ends off. But honestly, it did not make any difference to like how it looks or the length or anything um so leave your words of encouragement for me to grow. My bangs out down below i've had bangs for a very long time. So it's just like a strange thing for me to grow them out, like i think growing. The bangs out might be even harder than like growing the whole buzz cut out for me, but i really just want like to eventually be able to do the blunt cut with it all one length. I'Ve had that in the past and i really loved it, and i just really want to go back to that and then just grow my hair out from there. So today i have just straightened my hair so that i could show you just the just the length. It'S obviously not in any type of style or anything. I have been doing a lot of different styles recently, but today i just left it plain so that i could give you guys like an accurate representation of how long it is. I think this is pretty good for six months. Honestly people seem to get mad whenever i say i think that it's growing fast um, my hair, probably just grows at like the average rate, but to me it feels fast uh, just because this is like pretty long honestly, i feel like when i have this styled, Which i do most i mean styled. My version of styled is like putting it in ponytails or like something like that. I don't use heat a ton, but most days it's in like some sort of like ponies or clips or something too. So it's not just like this, because this is not cute anyways. I say all this to say that on a day-to-day basis, i don't really feel like i'm growing out a buzz cut anymore. I kind of feel like i have enough hair on my head, that it just feels like a regular haircut like it just feels like normal. You know what i mean because a couple months ago i really had the feeling of like it. It looks like i'm growing out a buzz cut, but now most of times when i style my hair, like i've, been wearing it in a ponytail, a lot um, which is something that i wanted to mention. Ponytail, has been like my favorite thing to do. I'M so happy that i can do a ponytail, and that is one of the reasons that i'm keeping the back, because this isn't really like a cute mullet, look anymore, because it's just so. This is too long. It just looks like two disconnected chunks, but the reason that i'm keeping the back apart from me wanting to like reach a year without cutting it um the reason that i'm keeping. That is because i can do the ponytail um, and that has just been like a lifesaver. I love ponytails, first of all, and i especially love ponytails with short hair um, so yeah that has been something i've been doing a lot lately. So if you want to be able to do a ponytail quicker, then i would leave the back of your hair intact. It also looks really cute to have like the long back when i'm doing like my little pigtails or something so i've been doing pigtails like this. I can do pigtails with the bangs up now um like this. I can do one pony now, which i discovered the other day, so i can bring all of my front hair into it and do a half pony like that or i can leave the bangs down and i usually style them kind of like under i'm gon na. Try to wear them as front bangs for as long as i can. I think, but i don't think i'm going to have much longer because they're going to be in my eyes soon, but i can leave them down and do a front pony like this. Obviously, i'm just showing you the really messy versions, but um yeah. I am finding that i can do a lot of hairstyles right now, which is really fun so yeah, that's kind of where i'm at um to maintain the blonde bits. I'M doing uh purple shampoo, which is kind of annoying, like the whole reason that i didn't really want to dye. My hair anymore is because the maintenance is super annoying and even that, just like kind of annoys me or like having to worry about this getting damaged further kind of annoys me, like i love before, like with my natural virgin hair, it's healthy, you don't have to Think too hard about like how many days are in between your washes or like damaging it with heat. Since i mean you do like, i was still using a heat protectant and everything obviously - and i still am all over all my hair - but i'm just like extra - have to think about that now with the bleached bits. So yeah it'll be really interesting actually to see how this grows out. Now that i have the blonde bits um, it could just look really bad once it's grown out to like here, it's gon na be like dark and then just this like blonde chunk. Maybe at that point i will get highlights to like blend it together or something i don't really know. I'M trying to be more relaxed about this hair journey. Now is what i'm learning, because, even just like how how kind of like disappointed in myself i was like, i don't want hair to be something that is so serious to me like. I don't want to be taking this so seriously. I have my like rough goals and rough plans, but i don't want to be myself up if i go off of those or change my mind like i'm allowed to change my mind and be flexible um, so yeah, that's basically what i have to say about that. But it will be interesting to kind of watch this grow out, because i don't i don't know if i'm gon na like touch this up, touch the roots up when it grows up. I actually already have roots um in this blonde part. It'S only been two weeks but yeah, i don't know if i will touch it up, i might just grow it out, like it's kind of just like. I see it as like a little boost, while i'm in this mid part, and then i'm just going to continue growing out to my natural color, for as long as i can, i've been liking, tucking it behind my ears, a lot and just having like little pieces Out i was also able to braid my bangs the other day. I i don't know if i photos of all these styles. I'Ve been doing if i do i'll put them on the screen, but um yeah. I have been having a lot of fun with just styling. It different ways and playing with it and just enjoying the journey of growing it out still highly recommend. If you want to do it, do it, it grows out so quickly you get to play with so many different styles. Along the way, i will say that it's been interesting. This grow out versus my last grow out the first time i shaved my head, the first time i shaved my head. I did so many different styles and haircuts in between, like while i was growing it out and it took so much longer. It took like twice as long and it was fun to have those different hairstyles, but i'm definitely glad that. I'M not doing that. Just because i'm getting it's just growing out faster, obviously, because i'm not cutting it um i did on my main channel a long time ago. I did a one-year update of my last time i shaved my head, and it was honestly like this long and i'm only at six months right now so yeah, that's just the difference like you can choose two routes. Whichever way you want to go, i'm glad that i've tried both out but yeah. This is definitely the way for me since i'm just trying to like grow out like i've already experimented with different styles and stuff um, so yeah. I think that that is all i have to say. I hope that you guys enjoyed this update, don't forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and the next update will be eight months, so i will see you guys, then thank you so much for watching bye,

ArtyBea: Your hair is looking so healthy and shiny! You have the face shape for just about any style, have fun darlin’!

Kaleigh Tucker: You’re just so beautiful Fern! Inside and out I love these sit down and chat videos, I find your natural color so beautiful!!

KatSchu: One thing I'm still learning myself: it's okay to change your mind. You are free to change your mind. Don't beat yourself up and don't feel like you need to justify anything to your viewers

Red Lady: Can’t believe how fast your hair has grown! You can seriously rock any style or color! Goals can be adjusted so don’t ever apologize to yourself for evolving those goals over time. No fun to live life that rigid. You do you, Fern!

Rhi Moon: Your hair looks fab and I’m glad you’ve not cut your fringe short - I think the longer fringe suits you! Natural colour is making your eye colour pop and you always look super pretty! X

Lizz Keiper: When growing out my bangs I found putting them back in a small pompadour was really helpful in those awkward length months :)

CoffeeCakes1: You know, I love the bleached parts of your hair, I think it's really cute, but your natural hair color is really gorgeous! So many natural highlights! Such a beauty! This has been fun watching the progress.

Tori Newbill: I’m at one year and six months from my buzz cut! I love that you dyed that small bit of hair I hated that length on myself wish I would’ve done something similar to get myself through the awkward phase.

I J: I’ve had bangs twice, and growing them out was brutal both times! I really like the look, but I feel like the maintenance is too much for me. Good luck, bestie❤️

Liska Langdon: Your hair looks extremely healthy!!

itscarolinemary: Your hair is looking great. I like the blonde bits :) After growing my natural out (similar to yours) and getting some small highlights throughout, and having that grow out the last year and a half... I bought overtone and went a natural red! It's a semi-permanent dye so it'll fade out and I've already been trying to upkeep it each wash with their products. The roots aren't bad though yet!

Middle Child: I'm on the exact same journey and we have a very similar hair color. It's been almost 7 months for me and yours is a little longer than mine. I almost added a little bleach to the bangs as well but I stopped myself.

dreamsofhoya: I support any and all hair experimentation, bc it grows back ‍♀️ Personally, I think a bob just below the ear would be adorable on you! But let’s face it, you can rock anything ☺️ looking forward to future updates!

Candi Bee: I think we have similar texture in our hair, mine is maybe a touch thicker and natural colour is almost black. I have had all blonde, brights etc and was tired of the maintenance, cost and damage as you said. I currently have a “lived in” balayage and and baby lights with just the money piece done to roots and it is such a dream, let me tell you. Honestly wait it out, because I only need to touch up once every 6 months and don’t need to worry about how warm my showers are or brassiness at all. You will LOVE it mama!

Deborah Mazza: You've been blessed with naturally beautifully colored thick hair. I'm ridiculously jealous!

mrs blackdragon: Call me crazy but you look amazing no matter how I've seen your bangs. I mean I'm no hairstyle expert, I'm just a lil old lady who appreciates Fern and Olive content

Alan Tower: Fun one. Listening to you talk in circles about leaving your hair alone (no dye, no cut) and then give yourself permission for just one drink. LOL. Anyway, it's cute and you're having fun, so embrace the fact that you get to use your pretty face and hair like a Barbie doll and experiment with many looks. Curious how you divide the pie. I guess that viewership is 40% due to your beauty/pleasant tone of voice, 35% your humor/personality, and 25% the plant information/knowledge. You're entertaining. Able to gush over any product or plant and give a fairly convincing performance that it is the best thing ever. I think you work very hard, produce a ridiculous number of posts, but it seems you are having fun. Thanks!

Alokasia Black Magic: You look much better with bangs! It's right for you I'm growing mine now and it's hard

SaikoPic: I will say, you don't know your hair pattern until you buzz it off. I did mine a month ago (3mm side 5mm top) and I didn't know till I cut it I have a double cow's lick. That teamed with my widow's peak, the longer it gets, the more I'm realising it's going to look like old school Wolverine in the not too distant future if I keep growing it. Also apparently I have a nice shaped head

Bug Bean: I'm a month ahead of you but I regularly trim the back. Already looks like a micro bob. I'm amazed by how fast my hair grows too and don't care if it's average speed or not xD

V Long: OMG, the past Fern photos w no bangs blew my mind. You can pull seriously any style off!! Curious what feels the most *you*..

Jackie Flores: Wow ur hair has come such a long way u look different I love it ❣️

Sabrina Guerrero: You look so different in those older pictures!!! beautiful as always

Madi F: A blunt bob is going to be so cute! Keep going

Ashley H.: Who doesn’t LOVE a baby pony?! My friends call mine a firecracker

Aslan Akbaev: Bendiciones hermosa Celina que Dios te cuidef donde quiera que vos.Monster encantan tus videos.

LunaGraves: some peoples hair does grow faster. it depends on genetics and your health .

Janine: I read hairdye thickens and damage the strands and bleach thins and damage it, it can also give hairloss, and years of dying can give allergic reaction. I also have read dye and bleach can cause cancer, its just toxic. I got an allergic reaction the last time i dyied my virgin hair in May, even if i had used to color it for years before and well yes, the color had Hydrogen Peroxide so also bleached it, the hair fellt like synthetic hair and got all damaged, all my beautiful texture and shine was gone I just dyied my hair just once on my virgin hair and it was completely changed and damaged, all textures, shine and it got super frizzy. All chemicals, dye, toners, even just semis or color sprays is bad, when you just dye it once its never like virgin hair ever again and can never be. Like you i am growing my virgin hair out again, for the 3th time. I regret so much i dyied it in May, i had almost grew it out for 3 years ‍♀️ Now my hair is little over 1cm, in May next year i will have shoulder lengh, its growing super fast. Also i know the boredom feeling, but hang in there, look forward, long, beautiful, shiny healthy hair, its you, its unique, not many have their natural hair, and i promise many will get jealous, many was that with my hair. Being just natural is such a freeing feeling and i fellt more connected to myself and the nature. Health weighs more than beauty, learn to love your hair, and yourself, why do you want to change and be something you are not? Something that is not you? We all want what we can't have, thats the problem, beacuse we dont love ourselves, thats what i believe and these thoughts helped me ❤️ Thank you for this video, your videos helpes me go through this again, feeling I am not alone and sharing this journey with you makes me feel better and good luck to us once again growing out healthy hair ❤️

Cherylann Turner: You are definitely a Gemini, me too! Love your look!

Kiki and Gigi: Whole head blond would look amazing

Oleg Ivanov: que vys.Monster encantan tus videos. Bendiciones hermosa Celina que Dios te cuide donde quiera los mortalesc abian apreciado tan hermosa mujer

BAMMD4: Of course you know not everybody has the face for a buzz.

Luciwho1: why not just go to a stylist now and have them shape it up for you.

slum dog: hi, sent you a business purpose email but you might have missed it. Could you check it out, its from zia baint

Sylvia Bol:

Laura Babyy: Yayyyyyy ❤️❤️❤️

Carl Fisher: Bangs! Bangs Bangs Bangs! Bangs Bangs! Bangs! ‼
