Hey guys welcome back to my channel. My name is ali. If you have not been here before, and thanks so much for watching this video recently i've gotten so many requests on how i do my hair with this style, which i was very excited to kind of get those requests, because obviously it's a bit of a compliment. So thank you um, but i've really really loved styling. My hair, like this. It took me a hot minute to learn how to curl my hair with curtain bangs. My bangs are a lot longer now, but they still like pose a bit of an issue just trying to figure out exactly what works with curling the rest of my hair. So i'm glad that i've kind of got this style down pat now and i'm excited to share it with you guys today. So before we get started, please make sure you're subscribed to my channel. If you have not already hit that notification bell, so you're notified every single time. I upload, if you guys, enjoyed this video, please go ahead and give it a thumbs up. I'D really really appreciate that and leave a comment down below letting me know what else you guys would like to see from me. If you guys would like to follow me on instagram, that's a link to down below, as well as my poshmark, if you guys want to shop my lip kit, that's also down there today, i'm just wearing the lip liner and the velvet lip crayon, but it also Comes with a beautiful high shine liquid lip um that just kind of tones down the color as well, but i think this color is absolutely perfect for fall, so i'll go ahead and leave a link to that down below my outfit. Details will be down there as well as all the products that i'm using today and i think that's it. So let's go ahead and get into the tutorial wow. This is a look, so i just finished blowing out my hair, which is definitely not a necessary step. My hair is very frizzy. I'Ve explained this before i kind of need to blow it out um just so i can get a little bit more sleek, so that was the first step for me and next, as you guys can see, i've got this cute little clip situation. I'M going to do my curtain bangs separately from like the whole rest of the blowout, so i just wet it a bit more. You definitely don't need a dyson, but this is my favorite blow dryer hands down forever and ever and ever it just blow dries. My hair so fast, but you will want to make sure you have a blow dryer with a concentrator nozzle, definitely a necessary thing. You can get very, very cheap blow dryers with concentrator nozzles. You definitely don't have to spend the pretty penny that this costs, even though it's worth it. This is definitely not like a necessary step in order to curl your hair like this, but i like how it looks styling my curtain bangs like this and as you guys, can see they're like really long now, so you could even do this if you just have Layers on your hair or if your hair is like all one length, i think it would still look really nice using this technique, because what it does is it kind of like, brings the hair forward and just kind of frames the face a little bit nicer than If you were just to like blow out your hair, curl it whatever so i've been talking too much so first things. First, i'm going to take this whole section and i'm going to blow it the opposite way like if i was wearing a side part here. The second way i'm going to blow it is the opposite way and then i'm going to take my round brush. That'S what i think is like. Oh, it says it right here. It'S one and three quarters. I'M gon na put my brush on top of my hair. Like so and then blow it this way, so, as you guys hopefully can see, my hair is already kind of doing the trick. It'S kind of moving forward, instead of like out like this. So that's where we want to be you're gon na. Take this piece of hair and i'm going to again put my brush on top of my hair and then i'm going to take my hair dryer and i'm going to blow out towards the front and then kind of off to the side. And you guys can see just like that motion created that nice, like sweeping effect, okay and then to kind of like connect these two areas, because, as you can see, my hair here is kind of going off to the side, and this is all to the front. I'M going to take a piece from each of those sections, so a piece for my curtain bangs and a piece from like the regular layers and i'm going to do the same exact motion just to kind of blend the two. Obviously, if you don't want to do the whole like curtain, bangs part of things totally fine, but because that's like kind of a necessary step in order for me to achieve this very specific, curling style, i wanted to include it, and i don't know - maybe you're here. Just to learn how to blow dryer curtain banks do which is totally fine, so let's go ahead and get into maybe the more interesting part, let's curl the hair, to curl my hair, i'm using a couple different things. First off i have this fabulous one and a half inch curling iron. I absolutely love using this one, especially for like the first day that i've washed my hair. It gives me a little bit tighter curls than this beauty. That'S all wrapped up. Currently, this is the t3. I believe it's called like the beach waiver or something like that i'll go ahead and link it down below for you guys, but this is perfect if you want way like bigger, looser curls. I actually like using this one on like day two or three, sometimes even four, once my hair has like fallen a little bit. Sometimes, if i go back in and touch up certain pieces with this curling iron, it starts looking not as natural, because these curls are going to be tighter than like the fallen waves. So this is perfect for touching up my hair after the fact just wanted to mention that but yeah i love this one also, and then the other products you'll see me using is this pantene hot mama heat activated, hair, refreshing spray. This is just a heat protectant, which is really important, so all of the face framing pieces all these pieces here at the front of my face, i'm going to be curling away from my face and then from there i usually alternate pieces. So that's what i'm going to be doing for my whole head. First things: first going to spray this! So some nice heat protection, so i'm going to take that first piece, curl away from the face after it's sat for a few seconds. I unwind it, but you see the hair is still in the barrel and then twist up again and then i usually loosen it a bit. Let it out maybe curl it up one more time and then i'm gon na unwind it and pull down, and what that does. Is it just creates a really nice loose beachy wave, i'm gon na, let it sit and then i'm going to kind of rake through the curls after the fact. So this next piece i'm going to curl towards my face. So, as you guys can see, i'm going to grab that hair twist. It'S all up in the barrel hold it for a few seconds, then unwind it but keep the hair inside the barrel and wind again and curl up and then unwind and pull down. So those are the first two curls. You can see this one's away. From my face this one's towards my face, the next one obviously is going to be away from my face and i'm just going to continue doing that. Let the curls cool i'll check back in with you guys once i do something different, hey, i'm going to do the very last section, which is this top section. Now i'm going to take about to here right here and curl all that away from my face and then start with that last back section. Turning towards my face, i'm gon na skip the curtain bangs for now and do those at the very very end so taking this first section once again, curling away from the face, and the section is a little bit short because it's like one of my smallest layers. So i only usually like wrap it up twice next section same thing away from the face now curling towards the face. So i think that's pretty self-explanatory, but i wanted to you know, show you guys just to make sure you know. What'S going on so yeah. Let'S continue with that pattern and then once i'm fully done and i'm gon na do the curtain bangs, i will show you guys exactly how i do that. So let's do the curtain bangs and, like i said, if you don't have curtain bangs, you can totally still do the style. I struggled for the longest time after getting curtain, bangs figuring out how to curl them like before. I was just curling. My hair, like this and then kind of leaving them straight and i just think it looks kind of awkward, so i figured out a way that i really really like them. So, as you guys can see, this is like kind of what i have left here for the curtain bangs, i'm kind of like using that same somewhat technique um. When i blow dried, my hair, so i'm going to be pulling them forward like so just because i still want that nice like face framing kind of vibe to them. So i'm going to curl away from the face and what i'm going to do is turn my curling iron upside down. Grab all this hair like so, and i'm going to do this quick. So i do just one little curl kind of try to keep it at the eyebrow level and then i'm going to unwind and pull down and that's kind of what it looks like i'm going to let it cool a little bit. The very important part is on this opposite side. Normally, when i curl my hair, i would start like at the top like this and curl away from the face, but you want this exact same motion to be happening on this side. I'M going to kind of like pull this apart, because once again, i just don't want it to be too curly with this. It'S like a little bit awkward holding it and it always takes me a minute. So i want the clamp part to be upside down and i'm just going to do the same thing like i said it's kind of awkward getting the hang of it same thing, i'm pulling forward and kind of curling at the eyebrow. Let'S mess all this up. First step is to use a texture spray, so i'm using this kristen s dry, finish working at texture spray, i'm going to use this kind to kind of like help the process, so i'm breaking through them through the curls and spraying. At the same time, i learned this technique from my hair stylist and, basically anything she does. I just kind of copy her, because every time she does my hair, it looks so good. I mean look at that side versus this side that texture spray helps so much. Let'S get the back and then i'm going to kind of like pinch that together and get the bangs and then the very last step is just to use a tiny bit of hairspray, i'm using the color wow cult, favorite, firm and flexible hairspray and just lightly hairspraying. Because i just want the curls to stay, but i don't want it to be like super stiff, and this is the final look show you guys the back. I absolutely love this hairstyle and it's definitely easy enough once you get the hang of it. So i hope this was helpful for you guys today. I also got a lot of requests on how i do my heatless waves, so that will be coming very very soon, but yeah. I think that's the end of this video. I hope you guys enjoyed it. If you did, please go ahead and give it a thumbs up, i'd really appreciate that leave a comment down below letting me know what else you guys would like to see from me, and i hope you guys have a great rest of your day and i'll see You guys in the next video bye you
