Hey everybody welcome to my channel and JD here. I'Ve got my sleep pair going on in my bangs are wet because today, I'm on here to do my bangs tutorial. Well, how do I cut my bangs? This is a requested video and I have through what I consider Brigitte Bardot banks, and I cut them myself now about once every eight weeks I'll go in and have my girl trim them up a little bit, but I do have to trim them once a week. I do because they're long now they're wet right now. So as they dry, you know your hair will shrink and I've got a mirror right here. So I'm gon na look at my mirror and I'll also look at the viewfinder, and so we can do this. So let's get started so I'm not talking to me. I left my hair pulled up in fact haven't done anything to my hair other than wash my bangs this morning, since I've got a because and with it down it's gon na be harder for you to see. My bangs, because it's gon na blend so much and I'll come back and with it pull down, so you can see that I washed my bangs, you don't have to do them wet. I do. I can cut them wet or dry, it doesn't matter, but I'll wash them and they dry really quick, so they're they're almost dry right now, they're they dry pretty quick, as you can see what you're going for you want to Horseshoe right here. You could take a pair of scissors and you can cut it just like that. But then that's not gon na look good, because it's to blunt it off and that's not what you want. So I'm not gon na look at y'all and then look at the viewfinder and I'm gon na look at my mirror. So basically it's not a big science. To this I cut the center part more often, and then I cut the sides so like you're gon na make a V, so it's gon na have a V part that comes down this way in a V part, and it comes down this way. If you it's easier for you, if you're not used to doing you, can clip that back and you can clip this side back. So I have a V right here and don't look at my roots. Look at my ribs. I get my hair done this week, but you want a V right here, so you have this little Center section right here. So the first thing and mine don't really need to be cut, see the V. You have a V here and a V here, my bangs. Don'T really need to be cut right now, so I'm barely getting a nip on and you see how long they are well, you want them that long or I want them that long. So don't get scissor happy and don't snap them off to here, because if you do, your hair is gon na shrink when it's dry and especially after you fix it. So I would go straight across right here. I'Ll do just a tiny bit straight across okay, then kind of spread that out and push that over push it over most of it. And then you have a little bit smaller section same V. But I have a smaller section right here and you do the same thing you snip right across and again separate them. You take the tiny little piece, that's right in the dead center and you can fiction it if you want to, but it's a tiny V right here and that tiny little V in the middle this time, I'm not gon na snip it straight across, because I've already Done it twice, then I'm just gon na cut up into it like a right here, scissors straight up and you cut into the hair it's kind of salt and pepper in it. Then once you get that done, pull these pieces down and you do the same thing on the side like the first thing I do, is I pull it forward and then I ankle cut it, but I don't do it like this? If you do it like this, it just is too blunt. I go in and I cut like this, so I'm feathering up into the the hair. I do the same thing on this side. If it's too, if you feel like it's too long, keep feathering up into it instead of doing it like this, just keep feathering up mine, don't really need to be cut on the sides. I cut it a little bit just now in the front, but they don't really need to be cut on. The sides leave some long pieces, like I like the long pieces right here and that you can pull more down and now, when you start getting into the long sides, you are gon na cut it. You'Re gon na go straight up and snip across and then once again, you're gon na feather up into it. Your bangs what'll happen is they'll, get thick and heavy right here. If you leave it like this, when you're, when I take my hair down, it gets too heavy right here and then everything starts pushing forward now, you're gon na take it you're gon na come back to the part right here. I'M gon na look in the mirror. You'Re gon na take it from right here hook it this way, see how my hand is flipped over on this side so that, instead of doing this and coming down, I'm going to take my fingers and I'm gon na go this way all right, then I'm gon Na flip it flip my hair, so there's a little twist right. There take the scissors and open the scissors up and just kind of shave down the side, and what that does. Is it thins that section right here? So it's not heavy and then, when you your hair down, it's not pushing it off forward. So it'll end up too much pushed forward on your face. You'Ll end up with it being too heavy same thing on this side, except of course I'm right-handed. So it's a little bit trickier, so I'm gon na go on the top and then flip it. So I have a little bit of a twist come down with the scissors on top and then once again, you're shaving it down the side. Your you'll won't even notice. It you won't notice that you've really cut it. It'S just thin sit if you feel still feel like they're too heavy on the top mine are pretty thin. I mean you can make them you can go further by. I can go all the way back to here, but I like mine right in the front, if you still feel like that they're too heavy right in the front. What I do is I'll part it down the middle, pull it straight out and then I'll shave it down the side and I'm not actually doing it right now, because I'm I just don't need to be cutting down the side. I do it a little bit and I'll shave it down the side, so you can see and as I'm moving the scissors, I'm barely barely moving on. I mean it's like my see. If I can pull it in I'll start it there. Alright see my hand how it's moving it's barely moving and that thins it out right in the front. So you'll have little shorter pieces up here and then it'll get longer as it goes down, and it gives you a better little bend right in the front. You want them to kind of lay like this, if you're going for the Brigitte Bardot bangs and that's what I'm doing same thing on this side twist them a little bit because unless you're left-handed, but I'm not so the same thing, I'd go down the side yeah. I can see better on this side and I'm cocking the scissors a little bit see my hand moving as I go down, and that gives me a little bit of a feathering down the side and that's pretty much all that I do. I don't do every step. Every time sometimes, I just trim them in the middle if I feel like they're getting too heavy right here and then I'll go ahead and do the little slide down the side. But I don't necessarily like I said I trim them once a week mainly once a week. I have to trim them right here because, as they have fall, just start poking me in the eyes and then I know it's time to cut them and that grow pretty fast. So I'm gon na take my hair down and I'll be rough. I ran downstairs took my hair down real fast, and I put some of this. I hate showing you all this. You know what they discontinued it. I can't find it anymore, but I'm showing it to you, because if you have something that's similar to this, let me know my johnathan dirt texturizing paste. I think it's been discontinued, but I put a little bit of this just on the tips. Do it just kind of keeps it from doing that, so I put a little bit on the tips and then it'll kind of hold it in place. You can also use the little clips that I showed before to pin it and spray it. I do that sometimes too, but they lay down pretty good today, so I just left it. The other thing I wan na mention the comb system. Sally'S rat tail comb. I'Ve been using these forever and the scissors Sephora. If you're gon na cut your hair, please use scissors that are for your hair, don't use, sewing scissors and don't use cuticle scissors use, hair scissors and I've had these for a long time and they work really well they're. The ice tempered stainless. But the only thing I use it for is to cut my hair. I don't cut thread, I don't cut fabric, I don't cut anything with these except my hair and they weren't expensive, but you can get the scissors like this it and Sally's too. So I didn't want to mention that, but that's I kept my brigitte bardot bangs and, as I said in the past, I've worn bangs forever, then I'll. Let them grow way out, and then I went back to I like my buying is because it hides stuff and stuff, and I also want to mention I have on a new lipstick today and I'm living it, and I wanted to share it with y'all real, quick And I'll come back and talk about more of this line, it's from clove and halo and it's a clean Beauty, vegan lipstick and it's really pretty. I love it. The color is ballerina slipper. This is the first time I've worn it and I'm gon na see how it wears throughout the day, but so far it's a really nice formula. It reminds me of the max and I'm working on trying to replace my lipsticks with clean Beauty. Lipsticks. That'S all I got today. I hope that y'all got something out of that. I hope somehow that had hoped I've had a lots and lots of questions, and I appreciate y'all watching you know if you have comments or questions, leave it below and I'll get back to you and have a great day.
