This is such a great look for a the classic pinup style. Not only is is super versatile (you can wear the back in so many different ways to make the style suit different occasions) but it looks really tricky to achieve and is actually REALLY simple. Yes, there are Victory rolls but they don't have to be anything special because you are covering the front of them with your bumper bang and the bang itself is made with a filler so easy peasy lemon sqeezy all in all. I hope you like it! Don't forget to come & join me over at facebook

Hair isn't the most important thing in the world but, sometimes knowing you have a super cool 'do' can make you smile and that can only be a good thing right?

Welcome to Vintagious, here, in my own litttle corner of Youtube I will show you how to create beautiful hairstyles from all eras. Sure, my main focus is on simple vintage hairstyling but I also love easy modern styles.

I don't have a favourite era, it changes all the time. One day it'll be Edwardian hairstyles that I'm all over, the next, pinup girl hair, the next I'll be all about Greek Goddesses and their crazy Barnets! I just love it all!

I do hope that you enjoy my videos and that you can learn something from them, even just a tiny bit - and even if you learn nothing I hope that they make you smile.

Hi my name's Leslie welcome to Vint Aegeus in today's tutorial. I'M going to be showing you how to create this really classic pinup style and it's a bumper bang victory. Roll combo you'll, see it all over the place and here's how to do it. Your victory rolls and bumper bangs are going to be created from the front section of your hair, so section your hair from your crown to each ear and then again from around about the arch of each eyebrow. So you will have a left a right and a center section now secure away the Center. For the moment, we're going to do our victory rolls first, starting on either side at the top split your hair into maybe one-inch sections and backcomb using spray or no spray and just work your way down the bottom section, the section that's laying against your face. Just tease on the inside of this because you want the outside of it to be smooth split it up and kind of merge all the sections into one with your fingers and then brush upwards smoothing the outside. As you go very lightly, don't brush out the back earth back combing now, if you're unsure about victory, rolls, please see the top left hand corner where I show you six different ways to roll a victory. Roller and five of these are applicable to this style. So take a look there if you're interested, I find that rolling from the tips of the hair down to the base is the best for this style, because it creates forward-facing victory rolls and you can see, have mucked up the swirl of that victory. Roll with my hairpin, but it doesn't really matter because the bumper bang is going to be positioned into the front of the swirl, and so don't worry if they're a little bit messy as long as the backs nice and neat, you should be okay, so I'm just Gon na repeat that, on the other side, smooth on the outside and spray for extra smoothness and then just roll, your victory roll from the tips down to a nice forward facing roll, you can see if you've curled your hair previously, which I have not. This will be much easier to achieve, but if you haven't curled your hair, don't worry, just wrap those ends in and roll securing the base. Now you don't have to use a filler for the Mumper bang, but it certainly certainly helps with stability and ease of styling. I'M using a bun donut, which has just been cut in half, I'm banding my front section of hair just again for ease of rolling and wrapping it around the bun donut rolling it towards my face and twisting it around nice and tightly. When I get to my hairline manipulate the filler so that it goes in the direction towards the center of your victory rolls in a kind of a u-shape and pin in place. This is going to give the impression when you found your hair out of one continuous roll, so make sure the filler is nice and secure and then fan your hair along the length of the filler. Don'T pin yet just take your time covering your filler with your hair. I find that sometimes bobby pins can make dents in the style, so using as few as possible is the best idea. Now, with your bobby pins, I find it easiest to just get a little bit of hair on the tip of the bobby, pin and poke it into the style vertically, as opposed to trying sliding it along the filler horizontally. That seems to make more of a mess of the style and work with your hands to try and just create that nice, one continuous roll, and if you can't, I always find a fine-tooth comb brushed very lightly upwards along the star really helps to merge everything into One this is really versatile. This hairstyle, you can wear it with your hair down, but today I'm choosing to really showcase that front roll and pull my hair back into just a simple low ponytail with a nice red bow because it matches my lipstick and my cardigan. I think it looks very pretty but yeah you can wear this loads of different ways, but thanks ever so much for watching so, like I think I said, and you can wear this style so many different ways. The back can be in a ponytail like this. It can be down, it can be rolled up, it can be in a chignon anything. It'S really really versatile. I think it's great when the hair is away from the face. It shows off the shape of your style at the front, but really and truly you can wear it any which way you like and yeah. If you liked the video, please click the thumbs up. If you don't like it, just click away, don't you dare thumbs down? I love to hear from you so if you'd like to get in touch then give me a comment down below or you can head over to my facebook page. If you try this style out, I would love to see a picture of you in the style, because I know you're gon na rock it and yes so check out down there for all the information about my Facebook page, I'm also on Instagram and that's some thumbs. She was Twitter, so yeah get in contact with me over there. That'S it thanks ever so much for watching. Bye here are two more videos that you might like to check out in the bottom Center. There is a modern pinup fifties, style no teasing beehive. So if you don't like to back comb your hair, you want to give it a rest, and this might be for you and, in the top left hand Center. I am NOT smothering my hands in Nutella, that is a lovely natural, cinnamon baking soda and honey hand mask which is fantastic for hard-working time, and so you might like to try that too.

nyaacid: Josuke is taking notes

Becca H: Love this along with all your tutorials. Can't wait to try it out :)

almon colette: Oh my God thank you so much for showing how this is done, I've been to cosmetology school about 30 years ago and we never learned anything vintage! This is so Joan Crawford in Mildred Pierce! I can't wait to try this on a mannequin.

Birgitta Danielson: You're so wonderfully clear! And you make it so much simpler then all the other videos I've watched.

Avery Bender: this is how I do mine as well! love it! the tiny victory rolls used to cover the ends of the rat in the bumper bang is brilliant!

Goldilocks Hernandez: I've done this look as you can tell by my photo but I actually started off by doing the bumper bangs first by teasing then did the rolls but I think your method is much more simple. I am going to buy a bun so I can create the bangs like that...Thank you

LadyfaceSays: Yay! So glad I came across your tutorials! I've been wanting to give this style a go. Thanks!

Wren W: That was So much easier to follow that the book I bought of vintage hairstyles from Betty Paige! THANK YOU! I have wanted to do this look for ages! Can you do one featuring a garrison hat like many of the military pinups?

Valerie Dee: Perfection. And you make it look so easy! I'm going to have to take a run at this one.

Naomi Pommerel: Too easy! Looks fantastic!

fluffycat74: Well done. Nicely executed and easy to follow.

Katie Hartmann: Exactly what I've been looking for!!! Thank you!!!

Slickchick: Thank you for helping me with getting a psychobilly look for the Koffin Kats show I'm planning on going to. The last time I went too one of their shows a lot of the girls had beautiful hairstyles and I wanted one too. Your videos are very helpful. It was a lot easier then I figured it would be to do the victory rolls. The style actually even held during the wind. With my fine straight limp hair I thought this would be an impossibility. Again thank you so much. :-)

Platinum Lemur: you make it look so easy to do!

Janie B: You instruct so well! Love this video. I'm bad at hair and this made it easy. Thank you.

noxiuc: Adorable! It looks great on you!

Scott Adams: I think that the style you did in this video turned out great and everything uniformed together nicely.

Courtney: Hello! I'm loving watching your tutorials! Would this one work for Rachael's hair from Blade Runner? Her bangs sit lower on her forehead, but it looks similar aside from that...

Kristel M.: Love it! Time to practice! :-)

Gomba13: Holy cow, this is nuts! This is the kind of video that gives a person the courage to try something they would never try because it looks so darn difficult. I am going to try this without the rat. I saw another tutorial where the girl separates the middle part horizontally into three sections and teases the front one a lot, then the middle one a little less and the back one only slightly, and forms the bumper from that, using the teased hair as though it were the rat. Then she just smoothes the top gently the way you smooth your hair. I think if you do this without the rat, you absolutely must use hair spray, but I prefer that to rodents living in my hair. I don't know, my hair is awful, it lacks volume, is super fragile and annoyingly straight, but in exchange for that, it is super silky, and I pride myself on it being touchable, which is why I don't like any foreign objects being in there.

MzKinkyCurl: This is cute! I will definitely try

Renee Price: Beautiful!

Amber Rose Theron: Oooo I've never tried to make it look like one continuous roll but I LOVE IT! I adore the effect of that! It would look amazing with the back rolled up at the base of the neck. Beautiful! Would love to see a more personal video like a get to know you or a q&a video :) xx

bibi_kittenpops: Love it!!!

StereoDelux: I adore your videos, merci beaucoup!

DoggySoul: Loved it ✅

insalatadipollo: This is really nice! And your hair is gorgeous :)

Joanna Gracie: Brilliant! The problem is i can't get a filler to match my turquoise hair lol xD xx

Lawrence Miller: I love your style I love more your demonstrations

Modern Retro Gal: This looks so good on you! Very cute.

Vânia Moreira: I really love your videos.  I'm from Portugal and here the pin-up style isn't very common (and I'm turning into one xb) so I'm so glad for you to do this kind of videos. I love it!! I really like to ask if you can do the hairstyle that Marylin had and how she did it. You explain very well so I think that I can do it if you explain that to us. Thank you so much :)))

Creativemadness13: I love this :-)

Anita Elder: Lovely! Not sure I could wear it this way. My hair is very thin and fin, so I don't think I have enough hair to do it justice. I did try victory rolls once and because I don't have thick hair, it didn't look very good.

Maheen A: Can you please do a full face routine with your foundation, concealer, etc. ? Thanks

fey d: I just love watching your videos!❤️❤️✌
