Steps:

1. Download the PDF template.

2. Trace the V-fringe template onto a piece of cardstock and cut it out.

3. Flat iron the wefted hair.

4. Secure the template to the wefted hair with binder clips.

5. Cut the hair slowly along the template. Be cautious with v-bangs. Due to the angle, the hair tends to get pushed away from the template, causing an uneven cut. Make sure your hair is combed straight down and that you use a series of short brief cuts to create the bottom fringe edge.

6. Remove the fringe from the template and sew through the weft to secure the thread.

7. Set the clip on the weft ensuring that the teeth are facing the downward direction and the clip backing is against the hair.

8. Sew through the first hole on the clip and through the weft three times.

9. Repeat for the second hole on the clip.

10. Stitch to the underside of the clip and create a knot.

11. Clip away the excess thread.

12. Repeat for the remainder of the clips.

13. Use a flat iron to add some curvature to the hair.

Creating your own fringe set will allow you to quickly change up your look. Every day., I'm going to show you how to make your own fringe set using wefted, hair needle and thread weaving clips binder clips, and these can be found in any office supply store. Comb. Shears flat iron and our bangs templates., You can find these templates on our website in the Tutorials section.. What you're going to do to create your template is you're going to download the paper. You're going to cut out that sheet of paper in the shape of your bangs, that you are wanting and then you're going to trace that onto a heavier card stock or cardboard.. Go ahead and cut that out and then you're ready to begin your process. For your wefted hair. If you are using a weft that is a little bit too thin or it's not as thick as you want your bangs to come in you're, going to simply double up that weft and use a little bit of fabric adhesive to hold the two pieces together.. You can use a foam adhesive or you can use a fabric tack. If your hair is not perfectly straight, go ahead and run a flat iron through it. At this point. We are doing the V style bangs.. If you had wanted any of the hair to frame your face, you'd want to cut the weft just slightly wider than your template and then cut on the interior of that and then leave the two sides hanging long. We're just going to slide the weft onto our Template and clip it into place using the binder clips., The V style. Bangs are particularly tricky to cut.. You want to make sure that you're always cutting towards the center point.. The reason for this is because, if you cut outward and your hair travels up, you may accidentally notch out a shorter piece.. If you cut towards the center at worst, it will be longer than you want, and you can always go back through and trim that up. We're going to cut along the template in very short, deliberate motions.. We'Re going to make sure that that hair is straight down at each point that we're cutting.. Sometimes it helps if you kind of pin it in place with your thumb as you cut.. You might want to do an initial cut and then go back in to clean up those extra stray hairs.. So you can see how it's a little bit jagged.. So we're just going to push that hair along the template and make sure that it's smoothed out.. So I've got a long spot here. And as long as when it's pushed out to the template that it has a nice straight line, then it's not going to matter for when we style it.. So we just want to make sure that it's following the template. And it looks like it's pretty close.. So next I'm just going to switch sides and I'm going to cut down the other side. And we're just going to continue this until we have completed our cut style.. The last step of the process is to sew your weaving clips to your weft.. Make sure that your tongs are pointed up and not upside down., Otherwise you won't be able to put it on at all.. The first step is to take your sewing needle and thread and go through the weft. Before you get to the end of your thread. Take your needle and go through the loop., Then take your weaving clip., Put it in place. And you're going to go through the weft once. Twice. And three times. Next you're going to go back into the weft. And come out. And then you're going to find. Where the other hole of your weaving clip is and you're going to go down into the weft in that spot., What that's going to do is it's going to allow your thread to hide under your clip. You're, going to come up and you're going to go in Through that spot, once., Twice. And you're, probably guessing it, ... Three times. Next you're going to go back underneath your weft and pull it back. Through. Pick up a small piece of the weft. And then you're going to wrap your needle around your thread once twice and pull it tight to knot. It. You're going to repeat that motion one more time to make sure that that knot is good and secure.. So pick up and small piece of the weft. Once twice and pull., Clip away your thread. And repeat for the remainder of your weaving clips.. The last step in finishing your V style bangs, is to put some curvature in them so that they match the curvature of your head., So we're just going to take our flat iron and we're just going to put a slight bump in them.. That'S a really subtle turn of the wrist. We're going to do that on both sides. And now they are ready to wear. Just clip your bangs into place and use a ribbon or a headband to cover the seam

Doctored Locks: Yesssss! V fringe is always the most frustrating. Just make sure you cut slowly, making sure the hair stays right over the template and doesn't move as you cut. Keeping the hair in the right place as you cut is key and may take a few times to practice getting it right. :)
