About me:

Hi, my name is Ariella. I got my last relaxer the summer of 2009. I began watching YouTube videos in search of someone with a similar curl pattern and texture. At that time, the natural hair community on YouTube was much smaller. I did't recognize anyone with hair quite like mine. And so I began to document my journey through vlogging to keep track of my progress and hopefully help anyone else out who might have felt as lost as I did. Along the way my channel has evolved to include bits of other avenues like skin care and fitness. I deal with acne and am a personal trainer, so any questions there, feel free to ask =] I hope my channel helps others to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.

All right, as you can see, I've been playing around with weaves a little while now just kind of experimenting, but today I'm gon na show you how I go from this to this, and even this. So, if you're interested keep watching now, I already done videos about how I sold the track to the clips and how I do twist and I'll link those both in the description box. The hair that I'm wearing right here is the indian remy collection and to get this, you have to measure it on your head. So I start with the nape of my neck and then I move to the top of my ears and then, instead of going all the way around my head, when I get towards the top, I go from the temples to the middle of my head on each Side - and I didn't show it here, but I actually go one step up to make it home a little bit now. This is the track. This is basically how I measure it not with the scarf on, but you get the idea and then once you have the mark, where it measures up on your neck, you fold it over and double it up, and then you would slip it right there. You want the track side. This is what a finished piece looks like after the clips are sewn on and you can see the doubled up track and the two clips on either side. Now the bang is the same idea I actually to make it thicker. It did four tracks on one piece. I could have even added one more, but four is fine and then it's the same thing. You measure how far back on your head. You want your truck to be and how wide you want it to come, and I made mine pretty long and you want to cut long the first time anyway, just because, if you need to make it shorter, you can. But if you need it longer, you can't go back, obviously, so lay it on the floor and I really just cut straight across. I didn't angle my cut at all, and this is what it looks like when it's done and you measure it back on your head. How part up you want it to come? I like mine right over my eyes and once you snap on the clips, it creates this angled book that I love. This is what my bang looked like in high school and then I usually like to just put a scarf on or something to hide the rest of my hair, and this is just a quick out the door. This is the hair I used for the bang. Be careful with human hair quality? It'S not a hundred percent human hair. It'S laced with synthetic right! Now, let's get rid of longer clippings, I stood off a flat twist. I have about 12 to 13 total twists in my head and you really just twist them straight back and then I like to criss cross them in the back and bobby, pin them up so that it's not so bulky and if you can braid even better. It'S probably gon na last longer and I'll be tighter, and I just can't braid my own hair, so my plaid twist and this part is pretty self-explanatory. You just clip it in the same way I described before, starting at the base of the neck. A few things I want to point out when I did this style: this is one pack of hair, nothing more, nothing less, a full pack and I can definitely use another pack to make it thicker and I probably will, in the future, buy another one. But for now this was fine just because it was an experiment just to see and I'm glad that it came out the way it did, but one more pack would definitely make it much better. Now, since I wear this style with the scarf, this is meant to be a protective stop and I don't want to straighten my hair. However, you can definitely use that small piece of your own hair straight in it to cover the tracks again, adding more track to make it fuller, so that you don't have your twist underneath peeking through. But for me this was perfect because I didn't plan on straightening. My hair anyway, you
