XO,

Hi, and welcome to my channel! I am a Beauty Addict and love to create how-to beauty tutorials for short hair and hairstyles, Fashion, and some dry humor parodies. I try to make my videos informative, creative and most importantly entertaining.

I love interacting with my viewers. Let's get to know each other.

Love, Milabu

Do you have limp hair? Do you have flat roots and you want to lift them up to the sky? Then this video is for you. (, laughs, ), I'm kidding. Hopefully., We'll see., We'll see if it works. Today, I'm gon na play with it's so loud. These really interesting hair-lifting rollers.. I got them on Amazon and hopefully they work., Let's try them out.. So this right here is what the clips look. Like., You get six of them. They're all different colors.. Oh, my goodness. They're all different colors and they're kind of heavy. They're, very, like thick plastic., So you have a clip, that's attached and then right here you can see, there's like little holes and then on the sides. You have these kind of like kind of like comb on each side., So a comb on each side with holes through it. So that way the air can get through and it's a hole in the center cylinder, whatever you want to call this. So how it's supposed to work, it's supposed to literally lift your hair up and I wan na see if it is going to lift it and How long it's going to stay lifted or if it's just gon na fall five minutes after you know, without adding or teasing the hair back combing the hair, adding like hairspray texture spray things like that.. I want to see if just this is going to work and you have to use a hairdryer to kind of set the hair in place.. Some say: do it for like 30 seconds on high heat and some say: do it for a couple of minutes., So we'll see.. I want to do just this side of the head, my right side and see if we can really kind of lift this portion right here and give it like. You know some volume, some lift., Let's do this., So you take a section of hair.. They kind of took big sections honestly.. Then you take this and make sure the side right here with those bristles or the combs is going towards your scalp or just on the side, and you kind of just lift it up. Just like that, I think. We'll see. Kind of self explanatory anyway. As I struggle with it. ( giggles ) ( giggles ) [, Andrey ], Cool., Okay, last one., (, snorts, ), (, Andrey laughs, ), [, Andrey ], Not the last one. Okay. Actually feels quite heavy In there right, I don't know., I mean you wouldn't know. ( Andrey chuckles ), But it kind of looks heavy to even right, [ Andrey ], I don't know. ( laughs ). You could definitely do this as a hairstyle honestly., This one's kind of falling out just because they're so heavy. Okay.. Let'S blow dry this for 30 seconds., You want to count babe [, Andrey ]. You should do it for at least a minute.. Let'S do it for a minute then., I'm doing the highest heat and low airflow. Andrey timed it for a minute and 30 seconds., I'm gon na let the hair kind of cool off and then when it's once. These are cool to the touch I'm gon na. Take them out.. What do we think is this a gimmick, [ Andrey ]? I think it's gon na lift it. How much though [ Andrey ], I just don't know for how long, but I think an hour, I'm gon na give it half an hour. Half an hour. Wow., I'm gon na give it like 10 minutes., 10 minutes, Mhm. [ Andrey ], Okay., Okay, I let them cool off for at least five minutes and they feel really cool. Now, just like room temp., Just gon na take these out., I tried to be ooh. Yeah see that I'm trying to be like extra gentle with my hair lately, just because so much hair is falling out. I mean it's inevitable that it's gon na fall out. Just because postpartum you know fun stuff., But the good news is. I have a lot of these baby hairs, growing out., Oh yeah.. This is what I saw in their video.. You have a lot of these like creases., (, laughs, ), And then they just said they just kind of went in and just like refluffed everything., (, airily, laughs, ), Umm, ..., (, cackles ), That was the biggest waste of time.. All it did was just created. Creases honestly., I mean there's a little bit. You know a little lift right here, right, Yeah., Yeah., [, Andrey ], Maybe a little lift over there. Baby waking up from his nap.. Let me show you guys what it looks like underneath It definitely lifted it. A little bit, but it definitely created that crease., But it definitely lifted it .... Honestly, a lot of these kinds of products that are such flops. I don't even wan na share with you guys, Just because they're such fails. I mean I don't wan na share the video, But let me quickly show you guys how I naturally give my roots Volume just very quickly. Usually it's when I have damp hair Or if I just wan na refresh my hair I'll, just take a hairdryer. This is the Dyson Airwrap, The smoothing brush one of my favorites, So it depends on where I want my parting line to sit. Let'S say I want it to sit in the middle. What I do is, I just take my hairdryer And I basically comb it in the opposite direction of where my parting line is going to be So I'll, go to the right and then take a really deep part. Go to the left and kind of just go back and forth With heat, to really kind of Basically manipulate the roots right here at the very top. Everything is just airy. It'S just fluffy, And this works best for people that have Fine hair, thin hair, Definitely not for people with super long hair That has weight to it. The only way that will work is, If you part it to the side, Blow dry it on the opposite side. When it's nice and damp And get it really in the opposite direction, And then once you dry and you're cooled off, You bring it to where you're gon na have your parting line. So I think that works best. If you want that natural Volume and that lift Without back-combing the hair teasing the hair Using any kind of products, This works best. Or use some kind of hot rollers. I think if you have thicker hair, coarse hair Using hot rollers, I think that's the best option For pretty much all hair types And just really getting that volume in there. But even just like that, I mean ..., ( Whooshing sound ) Volume. You know Playing with that parting line using the hair dryer to your advantage Using hot rollers, but something like this That's gon na leave creases in your hair. It'S just ..., it's not gon na be as great Old school methods are sometimes the best you know. I would want to say that these this product, right here in particular that I've tried it's a flop, but just because the results are not as great and it's kind of a waste of time in my opinion. Just use some hot air use your blow. Dryer use a hot use, a round brush or just use a hair dryer and blow in the opposite direction of where your parting line, is. And Andrey wants to show you guys his volumized roots ,'cause. This is how he does his hair.. He fluffs it with a hairdryer. Yeah. All I do is I just my hair is flat.. It just wants to go forward. Yeah.. The only way I can do it is. I just blow the hair with hot air just opposite.. I dry it that way. Yeah. And it just lifts everything. Yeah and it stays lifted. Yeah. It stays about a day. Yeah, which is good, and then you use like a like a texturizing paste so that ,'cause his hair is very soft in texture, so yeah.. So he just uses that to control and make sure it's all stays in that place.. So yeah, the old school methods use a hairdryer, some heat blow dry in the opposite direction or where you want the hair really to sit and lift. Like. I would just lift it like right here. That way everything would just be lifted., So yeah you guys. Please share your methods of how you create a natural volume, lift to your roots and how it stays lifted for like multiple days or even just one day or several hours., But for now you guys thank you for watching this video spending time with us and I'll See you in the next one very soon., Bye. ( Blows kiss )

Cook & Clean and Everything Between: Your face when you realized nothing happened was everything.. I love your energy and watching your videos

B-Unit Adventures.: I have curly hair, and I absolutely LOVE this product! One tip, insert the root clips so where the hinge meets is at the back of the head versus the face. That lessens the creases in the front. I put them in when my hair is towel dried and my product is applied. I leave them in while I diffuse my hair. The lift stays for at least two days.

Heather Keeton: It worked for me. I dampened my roots once they were in the clips. It won't have a good effect if your hair is dry. Also it helps to not have a middle part while using the clips. Put a clip right in the center, where your middle part would go, then add the other clips. Then after you take the clips out, then you can part it in the middle......much more volume. My hair won't have volume even if I blow dry like like suggested at the end of this video.

Gill Sargisson: Thanks Milabu, I was wondering about getting these roller things, but couldn’t see how they would work, so you have saved me wasting money. Love your videos and the tests you put things through - you’re great! Xx

Amanda Windom: Your side to side method works great for me too. I too have fine, limp hair and it works great for me. I ordered the Briogeo hair mask and I'm so excited to get it and try it after hearing you rave about it. Thank you for all of your great tips and great videos.

Brandy Freeman: I use the Revlon One Step Volumizer & Hair Dryer (bought off your recommendation.) I use it & do exactly what you said about drying the hair the opposite direction. I think my entire hair routine/products are because of you . Much love from GA .

Cathje83: I use them on my short curly hair and they do a great job! I think it depends how fine your hair is and how long your hair is. I use them on damp hair with some leave in conditioner in it.

Mary Contrary: I knew that was going to happen with the creases! For those of you with fine hair, Not your mothers dry shampoo with tapioca helps and adds texture...use sparingly. And a good cut by someone that is good at working with fine thin hair!!!

Evelyn Lee Barney: SO glad you reviewed this - I almost ordered them. I do have a brush hair dryer I haven't used yet (COVID has kept me home and my hair has gotten so crazy long and my dryer isn't flat, it's oval with bristles all around.) I don't dare try it until I get the ratty few inches cut off. Meanwhile, claw-clips are my friend.

Nicole Sanders: What if your hair was damp and your wrapped the hair around it once at the roots, kind of like a curler. And tried putting the flat part of the clip against your head? Then flipped the excess hair to the opposite side and used the hair dryer and heat them from up underneath? It's kind of the same as just parting the hair and using the blow dryer but it might help with hold? I think you could definitely play around and make them work

Milena Djordjevic: Head upside down while blow drying...or over night 4 buns (curled and volumed up ). That's how I do it. And you are my what to do with my hair inspiration So once again, thank you for everything you thought us over the years, we love you ❤️

Janet Pinilo: Thank you so much for your candid review. You just saved me time, money & frustration. Off to use your tips on blowing my hair, looking forward to better results.

Mary Young: Even if I get volume it always falls out before I leave home

Catherine Anderson: Thanks for taking one for the team! You are awesome!

Anna Hackman: My hair is fine, mostly straight and there's a dense amount of it. For me to get or keep volume, I have turned to using Big Sexy Hair - Powder Play. It gives me texture. It makes me think of hairspray in powder form. If I put enough on my hair, the hair will stay put without falling.

Gemma Martin: Raises both hands as my hair won't stand up!! Those clips look like a throwback to the 90s almost when the tiny tight twists tight to the head was all the fashion!! (The fashion police were never away from my door in my teenage years in the 90's

Ang R: Thank you. I avoid anything with spikes though. They always get caught in my hair and are a nightmare to remove.

Liz K: I lost so much hair postpartum that it clogged the vacuum and caught fire. It’s so unsettling losing tons of hair. I ended up getting a pixie cut both times.

mbl722: I learned that technique from the patent for method for concealing baldness I have a cowlick on the middle of the top back of my hair, I was hoping those things worked.

ShoppingQueen: I like to use Voloom (hot hair tool) for top root volume. It works great

Kati Tipton: Honestly the best thing I used to help combat my post-partum hairless was using Monat shampoo and conditioner.

Barbara Jones: Thank you for saving me $10. Almost bought this.

Lindsey LaMar: That's what I've always done, which is what I saw my mom doing with her hair when I was growing up.

donna wanna: I just used them, I put volumizing gel on my hair first and they worked fine. I have short thin baby fine hair.

Momsdish: I love this video and really needed a tip like this!

Dianne Krizmanich: Please continue to share even the flops! I want to know if it works or not. I appreciate you showing how you do it “old school”

Marcia Morris: That was a great reaction! Love it

Steph's Wavy Curls: I immediately ordered these (before even getting into your test) because I need volume air drying with the curly girl method, I’ve used clips before and it works but these look easier

Sherri Moffett: A trick that helps me is after blowing my hair upside down, gather it up loosely with a little twist, roll with finger into a curl and clip while it cools. Then it has lift and body.

kristy rainwater: Velcro rollers and heat or the relvon one step volumizer/hair dryer. Works everytime

Stephy2185: I bought a heat styling tool called the voloom it works GREAT and is quick and easy

msnannybean: I’ve been waiting to see a review of these things!

Ayesha: Flipping your head upside down while you use a hair dryer gives you great volume!

Priya S: I absolutely lol’ed at ur intro. Just stared watching, I know I’ll be laughing all along!! Gosh, Milabu, u are the sweetest!

Brooklyn Hudson: You needed to dampen the hair first. I also use a little root spray in damp hair. Lasts all day for me.

Teresa Alapat: You have the best hair tips, thank you!!

Melanie van der Bank: Loreal hair volumizing mouse works just great when lift and blowdry your hair with your fingers. That looks like alot of trouble if you have long hair❤

Corinne Broadaway: I love the voloom for volume!!

Katherine Klevenow: That's the first time a man ever gave me beauty tips. I'll try it.‍♀️

Michelle: I use small velcro rollers spray it with hairspray then blow dry! It works!!!

Kimberly Lacy: I feel like these would be great for air drying curly/wavy hair! ‍

TrueGlam1: Cool video! The Dyson did a great job! I love your sweat top where did you get it from??

Fiona Darragh: Hi, That was a bit gimmicky wouldn't be something I would buy whatever the price is. I think the best volume you got with a hair tool, Is when you used the Revlon One Step Hairdryer and Volumiser . Thank you for this video and wait for your next video ☺️.

Linda Caffalette: Wait don't you have to spray it with some type of holding product??? Otherwise how would it lift the hair? Oh, didn't know....CONGRATS on your new baby!!!

Creton Kennedy: I use big velcro rollers when I straighten my hair... let it cool and voila!

Melinda Das: Love your videos❤️

Delcy Gonzales: I heard that to prevent hair loss after pregnancy, you continue to take the prenatal vitamins.

cherryann woods: Great tip at the end!! Thanks xxx

lberry1391: Thanks for trying all the hair tools and demo for us....

K: If anything, it looks FLATTER Omg I love your videos!

Lexy Burton: Your beauty is captivating

Jody Porta: What kind of hairbrush is good for fine, frizzy hair? Thanks for doing this video. I almost bought these so you saved me some money!

joseffin: ... Or you just can flip your head upside down and blow dry your hair, using some volumizing product... Great effect and it is free

Katha rina: isnt that what hairdressers have been doing since the invention of hair to put in some clippers and let the hair dry with them? so this is just a reinvention with what already existed but with more expensive (maybe?) accessories..

Angela Smith: Thank you for sharing that just by the look on your face how it didn't work thank you for making this video so other people don't go out and buy it.

Judi Goldfarb: Great tips, beautiful hair, adorable baby boy what are your favorite products for really fine thin hair? If you have a video already please let me know.

Zoe Flemming: Love your videos

Judi Goldfarb: Interesting have you seen the new Revlon Volumixer, like the older one we all love only smaller I think it’s barrel is 2,4 only absolutely only think Costco sells it, saw it online for 49.00. Great there is one video on YT, let us know.

Mrs Smith: This gave me a great laugh!

M33IRA: 3:45 This is my Halloween costume ❣️

TheShadowgal1: Medium sized velcro rollers do a better job, I did it for years!

Liberty Jay: That face after fluffing

Te Mari: Great idea❤️ thank youuuuu

Judy Cash: Bought them. Didn’t work. It’s very hard to get the curl thing in the right place. I only wanted more pop just in my side bangs. Didn’t get any.

Tisa6: I think if you did horizontal rows front to center back should work? 80s girl did it with hot rollers & stiff stuff hairspray... volume for days!

Kathie Harrop: Lol. I burst out laughing too when you took them out. It’s a flop.

mbl722: Do they come in more than one size? Never mind

Lindsay Markin: Omg I've never seen Andre! He's adorable! Such a cute couple! ❤
