Hey everyone Kayley your friendly neighborhood, hairstylist here. And today I'm gon na be testing out some TikTok hacks with ... Yoop Anna Laura. Ba da bah. Get you a sister who makes her own sound effects. Hi, guys I miss you. ( Whining ), I miss you.. No, I miss you., It's okay, we're here now.. We have done several., Yes., TikTok, hair hack tests, reviews fact or caps., And I could not do it without Anna Laura.. So we've compiled a list together and we will be testing them out to see what works. What doesn't. I never know how these are gon na go.. I usually walk away with a new favorite hack though. Before we get into it, be sure to hit that like button to. Let us know that you're excited for this video and, of course you can click the Subscribe button to join the Braid-o-holic family here on Kayley Melissa. Stick around to see which one is gon na win this video. ( singing upbeat acapella, music ). Our very first TikTok is for you, today. Yay., (, gasps, ), Airwrap, (, energetic music, ), Oh okay., Then that's it! That'S the TikTok.. It seems super easy.. This is by ``. Matt Loves Hair''. Oh we love him.. He has so many fun little hacks.. I always wan na try them out very recommend.. I also saw another girl do this.. Oh, oh she's, using the wide one. Mhm, your favorite. (, energetic music continues ) All right, so that is the first hack we wanted to try.. I think it seems really cool. All right yeah.. I think it seems really cool, because one of the things that takes forever when you're using the Airwrap is that you have to spend as much time heating it up. As you do cooling it down. And with this one you could kind of skip the cool step. Ooh. That would significantly increase the speed of doing it.. I think so. I would still definitely hit it with the cool shot button.. I think just that, like hot to cold, like switch kind of quickly is good, but it just gives you more time to let it set. I'll always sign up for Airwrap. Anytime. You can take my Airwrap.. I literally come and visit her to see you, but also for the Airwrap.. It'S for the Airwrap. It'S fine.! It'S fine! It'S fine! I will keep it as my Anna Laura lure., Just like. Hang it out in the front door. ( sing-song ), Oh Anna, Laura (. Both laugh ). I was noticing, though, with the second girl that it seemed like she was having a hard time getting the Bobby pin over all of her hair.. So I thought a cool addition like you can try both if you want but like an addition to this hack, might be using duckbill clips.. So I was thinking while you do that. I have a trick that I want to try.. I think this is also from Matt Loves. Hair. Matt Loves Hair. We heart you, Can we be friends: thanks. (, energetic music continues: ), Ooooh, Okay, so yeah he's using like dry shampoo and he's heating up the roots and then putting them on a roller just to kind of refresh them. I think that's so smart.. I love that. It'S like so limited on the heat too.. It'S like only the first couple inches of your hair.. Yes, so this seems like a really good easy way., Especially if you have like finer flatter hair like I do. And I did a really heavy moisturizing mask on it. Yesterday., So it's already like, let's give her some life. Yeah your hair's perfect for this hack.. Let'S do it., Let's go For my flat iron, I'm using the GHD Pro Styler, Platinum, Plus Pro Styler, something like that.. My editor will put the actual name up here. All right. Well, while you get your sectioning ready, I'm going to go ahead and do the dry shampoo at these areas that I'm not refreshing., So I've got Batiste. I looked through both of my drawers for dry shampoo and picked Batiste Wow. Who is she today? I just I can't get away from it. She's the one it's always been: you. ( upbeat music ), The all important massage in of the dry shampoo. All right. Oh, my hair already feel so much better.. Now, let's tackle the top., He went in horizontal sections like this, and the back ones went away from the face and then the front one went forward.. I have curtain bangs, he didn't.. I think I'm going to do it all back., And so the idea is that you pick up a section. You hit it with dry shampoo, you hit it with a little bit of heat, you put it on the roller. A little bit of heat. I have a feeling - that's probably warm. Confirmed. And then we're going to put it forward like a unicorn horn pop this guy on and roll it back., I broke the number one rule of Velcro rollers, never take a section wider than the roller I'm sorry., And now We just do that several more times and see if it works. ( upbeat music continues: ) Uh, oh the tower is falling. And that's what happens when you break the number one rule of Velcro rollers, I guess.. Let'S try it again. ( upbeat music continues. ), I'm just going to borrow a clip to hold everything together.'Cause. I did get a little dramatic., I'm going to chill like this and Anna Laura. It'S your turn. Let'S get it. (, both laughing ) ( upbeat music, continues. ) All right, ( Anna, Laura quietly yelling ), [, Kayley, ], Hey you did it, I'm just going to be over here drinking my Nespresso and um.. Watching me. Do this the most difficult way I possibly can.? It'S all good. ( sarcastically )! Why did you ever work for somebody else? ( upbeat music continues: ) ( Anna, Laura grumbling, ) [ Kayley ] You're, having more trouble with your hair than the hack. ( Anna, Laura yelling in frustration ). I regret picking this sectioning ( upbeat. Music continues: ) Heeeeeeey, booh-ya, ( upbeat music continues, ) That was actually super. Easy. [ Kayley ], That's pretty cool. Wow Prep, my head for me. All right. I think that's probably wet enough to do something, but I left the ends more dry, so they might adhere a little bit more easily. Aaaah. So smart., It's like I do, hair all the time.. All the time. ( upbeat music continues: ) Woah, [ Kayley ], Hey! Oh, you went the extra mile and clipped it to your head even.. I did. We just took it to another level. ( upbeat music continues: ) (, imitating angels singing ), I'm thinking with you kind of adding the extra element of clipping this to your head. You kind of created a faux roller set.. This is way easier than a roller set, but you're right. Tea Because it holds the same exact, shape., Mhm, wow., (, upbeat, music, ), All right. So for this last section I think I'm not going to do the whole pinning to my head thing, I'm just going to do it exactly like they did the TikTok with just like clipping it up at the bottom. ( upbeat music continues: ) [, Kayley ], All Right it looks like it's going pretty well., I'm on my last one.. Can I say that for the last one you should probably try the Bobby pin. ( Anna Laura groaning, ) ( Kayley laughing ), You're, right. ( upbeat music continues. ). I think I would've lost my mind if I had done my whole head with that. Gotcha, all right., Don't think I would have made it through. Cool cool cool, so the addition really helped. You wan na, let that cool and I will see how this turned out. Yeah, let's do it. All right, yeah, take a little sit break.. You just did so much. [ Anna, Laura ] Yay sit down., Everybody give Anna Laura round of applause in the comments., And here I go. Let'S see how this looks. Massage that dry, shampoo in and hope that there was enough oil for it to absorb.. Oh wait: I'm feeling lift wait. ( shockingly ) [ Anna, Laura ], Stop that looks so freaking good.. That was amazing. This is a new go-to abso-freaking-lutely for me., So we're noticing some fluff and texture on the top from the dry, shampoo and everything, and I like that., So I'm going to make the bottom half of my hair match by using a little bit more intensive, a dry Shampoo than the Batiste, this one is Direct Flight from IGK.. Oh yeah, that's working., Okay, that was a great hair refresh. Are you kidding me? This looks like I just went to the salon or something and got a blow out. I mean your hair is so voluminous.. I have an idea for next time. I want to do two rows so that I have a little bit more hair. That'S lifted.! I want to do a little dry, shampoo and a little bit of like really light-hold hairspray, because I could use some hairspray, though one second. I'm going to grab the Oribe Superfine. How to take your hair from ``. I woke up like this'' to ``. I went to the dry bar today'' Sorcery, wow okay.. Well, thank you for this tip. This has changed my life. I enjoy it and I recommend that you all give it a try. [ Anna, Laura ]. I want to see mine now I have FOMO. Are you cool, I'm cool wha'chu, you mean You want to take it out and I'll take this out. Oh, my goodness, the honor, the glory. I mean wow.. This is definitely more defined and curled than you normally can get when you just let it fall right. Yeah. [ Kayley ]. I need to try this when I do the Dyson, because my biggest problem with the Dyson is that my curls do fall really quickly and easily.. This might make it last a lot better.. Oh my gosh, it's so swooshy! This is Anna Laura's favorite. I love it as well., Okay, okay'90s supermodel., Yeah she's. Coming out. We both got our hair refreshed by Tiktok. [ Anna Laura ]. I love it. [ Kayley ], That's amazing. [ Anna, Laura ], Even regardless of if it holds more or not. I really liked not having to deal with my hair being down. While I had wet hair., Like you know, the combination of wet and dry hair, like fully wet hair fully dry hair, is not very fun to deal with. So I like to have them clipped up and away., And I feel like the Dyson- having the hair blow around is always a frustrating thing for me'cause. I feel it tickling my face and stuff, so that is another nice thing to add: in. Yeah., All right. Wow, big fan. Big fan, Two check marks for our first two Two enthusiastic thumbs, up. Wow wow I mean we could just go home now I mean we Could that was it., I mean look at you Who are you Lily Van Brooklyn? Oh, stop, it. ( laughing )! Stop it. Let'S keep it going. Maybe we'll keep the luck moving through., So the next one. I have titled `` that ponytail'', because I have seen it so many times. All right. Over and over and over. There's two iterations. I picked my favorite. Okay, sweet. Let'S do it. Okay, two ponies. Mhm.! You do a lil split, a lil twisty. Shoot the basketball. ( laughing ) Yes. Ooooh. Right right, Wait. I love that. Okay, I'm here for this., And I actually found one for me in this scenario. So we can both have fun at this party.. What But yeah it's in a slightly different order, but it's basically the same thing: ,'cause she's got the little twisty and then she makes the second one, and then she does the little pull through. Wooooow. Wow yeah, I'm so excited.. I am really interested to see how this looks from the side. That is my biggest question.. I will get started with my half up. And I'll get started with my ponytail., So I've got a large section, a large section, bringing them to the back. First. One is in, and then she did the twist first before the second ponytail for this one so flippy time, (, energetic music, ) You're at the flipping part now.. I just flipped. All right. Let'S take a little look-see at what's going on right here, though.. I think. There'S still hope., We just need to loosen which she did that I think. She reaches through right Yep and she grabs the ponytail. And then you tighten the bottom up.. Oh God., Oh no, turn to the side. (, both groaning ). It'S like saggy and-. It like poofed up, Wait, tighten it more., Yes, ma'am ( Anna, Laura screaming in pain, ), Oh sorry., Too hard too hard, Still, not cute. Yo. No, this one gets an X.. I want to take it out right, now. Hold on. Let me try to-, Give me a second here to troubleshoot.. If you look at it from this angle, it's perfect., But when you turn- ( Kayley laughing ), You never saw her face in the video.. You never saw the side either.. What if you kept the hair in front of your ears in front and put everything else in a ponytail first and then did it., Give it a try. You do it., Okay, I'm going to try not to go into a full challenge mode, or else we won't do anything else. Today., That is the secure ponytail. ( upbeat music continues ), And then we pull the ponytail through. Thank you for the assist. And we move this one up gently. Oh Much, better.! That'S not bad.! Okay! So wait! You just swapped the sectioning., Like you did a lot less sectioning of the top ponytail. Yep mmhm.. That makes a lot more sense. Yep. So she's got this ponytail holder here and then this one is actually like on top of it.. So that way it like lifts up this hair.. It feels like I have a PONY-O in. Yeah, so you don't want this second one that you pulled through to sit underneath the first ponytail you want it to sit on top of it and that way it actually fans the rest of it. Out. I mean yeah. You look like you, have a ponytail piece in in like a good ,'90s way., With just a little clarification, the long ponytail works.. If you do this, take a look at it from the side and like adjust as needed, and you might even want to pin a little Bobby pin right here to keep it from exposing you. If you're going to go dancing or something. I'll show you what I mean just so we're all on the same page., Just kind of fan your hair out and then you can just grab a Bobby, pin and stick it in here and go sideways. And that'll. Keep enough of the hair there to where it's safe, you don't see it., But you could also, if you bought one of my favorite things in the whole world, a Frenchie that will work just as well.. I would do it so that this little thing is vertical and you'll. Just pull the thing over, stick it on the side of the ponytail and it will not fall out and you will not be exposed. All right. Well, let me try to finish mine to see how that goes., So I'm going to clip this little guy up and form my second ponytail. I'm going to slide my fingers basically straight back like this, so I can have a lot of hair ,'cause! That'S the hair! That'S going to be over the elastic.: Let's take this down, this top guy goes under the other one.. So I have these funny little lines here that I'm not loving., So I'm just going to loosen this part.. I think I can stack another hack and put this little claw clip under it.. I do think I need to do the little side hide trick., [ Anna, Laura ] Tiktok is crushing the game. [ Kayley ]. This is cute. My life is being improved so much today, Wow, I really like this.. This is a thousand percent going in the rotation. ( screaming in excitement ). I almost prematurely gave this an `` X'' and I'm very happy that you stopped me because this is so cute.. This is a vibe, it's a full vibe., I'm here for it. I love it big check, mark. (, ding, ), Big check. Love. You know I feel like with the little modifications it is so so good. All right.. Well, I have one more hairstyling hack for each of us.. Okay, I've seen this bun multiple times and every time I see it, it's a messy bun and every time I see it, it looks good. And they do it in one take. ( in amazement, ). What I don't know, what kind of sorcery this is, but we're going to need to find out., I'm skeptical, let's do it. [, Tiktok, Voiceover, ] Start by poking your hand through the hair tie, then grab your hair and flip it forward twice. This makes two twirls.. Then secure onto that first loop, you made with the other hand. That's a bold statement that everybody's going to get it. The perfect messy bun yeah. Yep `` every time'' ( in disbelief, ), Oh Carla., Oh Carla., That is amazing. You're, going to try that one and Then I have a faux braid that I wanted to try. Ooooh. Now I usually roll my eyes and keep scrolling. I'm sorry. I am `` that salty B'', because I am a purist when it comes to braids., But let me show you. So she's trying to braid. Oh, it's not working. ( mockingly ), Not working, So she puts her fingers through grabs the section and switches and just repeats that over and over again - and it looks like kind of a normal braid. What It looks like a combo of a fishtail and a pull-through.. That'S just a very beautiful braid. Yeah, A it's pretty on its own B. It might be a lot easier for people. And I feel like perhaps you know, if somebody has like carpal tunnel or any issues with a lot of dexterity, it might make it a little easier as well. Huh., Yeah, so bun and braid. Let'S try the braid first.. I was planning to just do it all myself, but I now realize I do not have the requisite hair for that., So she had this up at the top. That makes sense.. Let'S do a quick little tri., So I'm going to split, grab, pull it through.. So I'm using these two fingers like an arrow like spearing, it through. Grab flip through it's definitely- like you're, not fumbling around with much hair., It's pretty fast.. I think it would be hard if you have tangled hair probably., And the angle that you split it through at makes a big difference in the angle of the braid.. I'M not sure how I'm vibing with it. So I'm going to try one more time.. So I was splitting it all the way through before, like detangling, it all the way to the bottom, but I'm kinda letting the bottom stay knotted together this time., Oh okay., So that looks better. But then I do this and there's like holes between it'cause you're. Basically, just twisting the sides together., I'm not mad at it.. I don't think that I'd pick this over another braid. Yeah. I mean it worked.. I think it's a good option if you need it., But I don't think I would choose it.. Do you want to try real, quick, Yeah. ( upbeat music )? This is not easier than braiding. Yeah. It does not look easier for you. You're still having to do a lot and also kind of learn a lot. Yeah, I'm not sure about it.. If, for whatever reason, the three strand braid just really messes with your head and this one works for you and it makes you feel great, do it all day every day. For me, I don't think it's the move., It's fine! I would give it like a-, I'm not going to give it a X, but I'm like this emoji., Okay, bun time., All right here we go. Okay. So it goes over the top. You go through and grab your hair and then you twist it away twice and then you put the thing over top. (, yelling, ), Ohhh, (, mumbling ). I don't think I did it right.! Okay, let's try it again., So you put it over. You put your hand through grab your ponytail and twist it once. Wait. How do you do this without ending up in handcuffs? Am I dumb? I have a bun of some kind here, but I don't think that's what she did. I've got it I got it. I got it, I got it fam Do you. I spoke a little too soon, but no, I think I do. Oh, she switches hands, Switched hands, (, excitedly, ), Ohh, that's good! That is a big old bun.. I love it. Can you replicate that I'm afraid to make you do it because it looks so cute. But, like I'm afraid for you to ask me that. (, both laughing ) ( upbeat music continues. ) Mm, no instructions were unclear. Literally tying. My hair in knots. ( upbeat music continues. ), Oh wait. I did it that time., Oh shit. No, I didn't. All right. I have something on my head., I'm not sure what it is. I'm going to do. `` # messybun'' and see if I can find another one., Oh look, she's doing it with the normal hair tie., So she twisted towards-. Oh, this is a different one.. That looks the same though wait. This looks way: easier.! Okay, I think that's what I just did'cause. There was a lot of ends left out on that one.. My hesitation comes from the fact that I think no messy bun is good for everyone.. I think that there are too many variables with your thickness your layers and all that, so I think, regardless of like even the exact way that they're doing it, I think everybody is going to need to do it a bunch of times to figure out what works For your hair., Most of these people are responding to comments like ,''. I'Ve watched it 67 times and I can't figure out how to do it.'' Same girl same So yeah same.. I saw one of the girls. Do it in a way that looks like it might work for my hair. ( upbeat, music continues. ) ( laughing ) Still looks kinda crazy. ( upbeat music continues, ) ( Anna, Laura grumbles in frustration, ) (, upbeat, music continues: ) ( Anna, Laura grumbles in frustration. ), If everyone is saying that they have to try it 1000 times, I think that makes it not the easiest. Way. Yeah, I'm going to go with you on that one., Like I think her bun is cute, and I think there is a way to do it. Obviously, but I don't think you can call it the easiest one when everyone's like `` huh, ?'', (, upbeat music, continues ) That wasn't right. All right. I got a pony-up. ( upbeat music continues. ), You guys are watching my slow descent into madness. One more time. I think I might have it.. I think this might be it., You put the hair elastic over and you don't let go so you have this little rainbow right. Here. Boop rainbow You put your hand through the front and then you're just going to flip the hair over number one and then for the second version. She flips it over one, more time., Ohhh shit, And then you pull this. You grab the base of the bun.. This looks good. This looks promising, So you grab around the clouds of the rainbow. And then you pull the band over the top. Yeah. I did it Oh yeah yeah that was it Okay. Y'all. They need to record this video from behind. That made so much more sense. When I was looking at it, this way. Okay, how do we appropriately sum up the last 20 minutes of our lives? ( Anna, Laura loudly, sighs, ) Frustration, anger, all the things.. I really tried, and I really believe that she has a method that works for her. I just can't quite figure out what it is., So I'm going to say: `` X'' on the easiest.. Definitely not easiest. Abso-freaking-lutely not.. If you can figure it out and do it, you win enjoy, Feel free to send a detailed explanation in the DMs. Yeah feel free to tell us what we missed in the comments down below.. I would love to know. Truly, I won't sleep easy until I figure it out., So we learned that the Dyson Airwrap can also become a roller set very quickly.. Yes, all you need is some duck clips and you are in business.. Yes, we learned that you can refresh your hair in 3.5. Seconds. I mean my hair still looks so much more refreshed than it did when we started this video And like basically, no heat very minimal heat.. So little because I know I was like going over it, but it like my hair didn't get hot. So I can't touch it, it was just warm. And it wasn't these few inches of your hair that don't typically get heat. So it's like they're okay., Yeah they're, the healthiest of all of my hair, so its fine., The ponytail and the half-up. Those were so good.. Those are new go-tos, So the last two eh You know they weren't. We threw them in there. Something had to not work. It's the beauty of the video right Watching us slowly descend to madness, Yeah (, laughing ). You know what I think we tried this. So you don't have to That's right yes., But you should try. If you have a Dyson Airwrap get you. You know $ 6 worth of these., That's about 30 of them for $ 6, on Amazon, right now.. So do that try it out.! If you like, to refresh your hair, get a couple of Velcro rollers, also do that on Amazon and try those hacks, because that's amazing., Half up half down a win as well so. Beautiful We're going to take those and we're going to enjoy those going forward. We're Going to forget, the bun happened, Gon na forget all about that. What bun? What are you even talking about What bun? I have no idea. Yeah, who knows, But that is all of our hair hacks for today.. If you enjoyed the video be sure to hit that like button to help support the channel and to say thank you to Anna Laura for being on the video. Of course, and if you're new here, click that subscribe button to join the Braid-o-holic family. Here on Kayley, Melissa And all y'all can click that bell icon to be notified every time I post a new video, But that's it for today, whether you're, old or new or a casual lurker. Thank you for spending time with us and I'll see you in the next video (, both kissing, ) bye, My bridesmaids are either gon na wear all their hair down or we're gon na have a variation of ponytails.. I might have my hair down and no one's hair shall be downer than mine.. Looking at me, folks. ( laughing ). I would wear ballet bun to give your hair a moment.. My hair can shine on its own thanks., But like just to make sure

Maddie: My sister has been using that last braid that Kayley tried on Anna Laura as her "sleeping braid" for ages and she really loves how quick and easy it is. It doesn't exactly look like a normal braid, but it gives you enough hold to last the night and a slight beach wave in the morning

Angie M: Thank you for mentioning hand dexterity. My hair is down to my butt and I love braided pigtails but I broke some fingers in one hand and my strength and dexterity are shot. This looks like a decent alternative to spending 30 minutes trying to braid my hair and getting frustrated after dropping the strands over and over.

Missy Wolf: I’ve been attempting that bin for months! It does work better then any other attempt for me (I can’t make a messy bun look good!) but it’s not the easiest! I had seen a super slow walk through that really helped though, and what Kayley did at the end was spot on

myozbubble: It's helpful that you keep trying to recreate the look rather than just doing it once and moving on. Seeing you both work your way through it help me see the construction of creating the looks. TFS!!!

olivia lee: you guys should do the hacks on one side of your head and then what you normally do on the other side! it would show whether it was a real hack/looked better or not!

mayra flores: Anna Laura’s facial expressions while doing the bun are literally my facial expressions whenever I watch a hair tutorial.

Kasey Smith: ANNA LAURA!!!! I’ve been loving the content youve been putting out for your new job. I’m a follower just to support you and I SERIOUSLY love it! You’re so talented. I aspire to incorporate some of your video techniques in my social media manager career! And I’m so happy to see you back here too! Youve been missed. We love you both!!!

K. A.: I appreciate you guys doing that messy bun 1000+ times, I've finally figured it out thanks to y'all! And it is pretty easy and very sturdy for my thin, fine, soft, long hair!!! That you for all the time and frustration to figure this out!

MSUSPARTANS 1995: This was fun to watch! I would just say a “hack” is essentially to make something easier and/or save money. For the first hack, it’s MUCH faster, easier, and effective, to skip the rollers and simply bevel the root with a wide-barrel curling iron from the drugstore, after dry shampoo.

Agustina: For the second bun, it's as if you were putting your hair in a ponytail, but instead of letting all of the ends through, you pull them halfway and then twist the elastic as if to continue the ponytail, but with all the extra hair "inside". Then just wrap the elastic around the base and it's done. I learned it almost 10 years ago by watching a girl from my class in high school do it a few times!

fictionalhuman: Hooray AL is back! We’ve missed seeing you two sister-ing it up!

LD Robles: The messy bun thing, I always used to do that when my hair was longer esp when I’m in a hurry. You don’t have to think about it much. Just flip and turn you hair in random ways each time you twist the tie. That’s what works for me.

Michaelle Trujillo: Omg! I have NEVER made a comment on anything, but you girls had me laughing harder then I have in a long time! I mean belly laughing! I had convinced myself that I just didn't have what it takes to do some of these hairstyle hacks, but thanks to you two doing these very informative, very REAL demonstrations, I feel like I can go ahead & start watching hairstyle hack videos again & it's okay when it ends with me learning a new curse word to mouth while throwing my hairbrush!! Thank you ladies!

Krafty Kristin: i have NEVER been able to do a messy bun. and i tried 1 time while watching this and i freakin got it! idk if i did it exactly how you guys did but i just discovered a way to do a messy bun in my hair! woohoo!!!! update:just tried it a second time and it worked too! also I used a pro hair tie and it made it so easy to get out! (discovered those from your videos too)

Alisha Vial: Anna Laura looked like a old timey actress when she had her hair all clipped up in curls from the air wrap- she’s so pretty!

S Veatch: tip for the bun - a lot of your attempts looked like you were flipping the hair up and back instead of down and back which I think is where the frustration lied. when you flip your hand, you fingers should go from the front of your head to your ears first, not from the front to the top of your head. Also one thing I found that worked great with my long hair is to flip the hair once, loop the hair tir over, then tread my hair through the loop until I run out of hair. I find this covers the hair tie better and is much more secure for heavy long hair

Nichole D: I think the problem with the pull-through pony was that you had a middle part. Her hair was all swept straight back on top.

Morriah Mcphie: Okay wow! So I’m over 40 so I don’t have a tik tok account so thanks for reviewing these hacks! The dyson trick with pinning the curls is a game changer! I have thin, fine and straight straight hair and the curls were falling out almost immediately. Now I have full voluminous curls like I used hot rollers! Thank you!!

zeina angel: So happy to see Anna Laura again!!!! She looks gorgeous an refreshed! Great video girls! Thank you for making me smile today ❤ love you

Tabby: It was so fun to see Anna Laura again! You guys are too much together I really love your editor, they just really take the videos up a level of greatness

JJH: Round of applause (as requested) for my beloved Anna Laura

Heather Alfano: All hair (or no hair!) is beautiful stunning gorgeous and remember that if you’re frustrated that styles don’t work for your hair type Re: the messy bun technique. I don’t know how to describe it but it just comes naturally over time, like how braiding/French braiding your own hair feels so uncomfortable and awkward until you practice it a ton. Maybe it also helps that I have thick, long, wavy hair? Potential tips? - Using a velvet scrunchie for this might be helpful for beginners as it does more of the work creating volume and security than a weaker, less friction-y elastic or hair bobble. - I don’t pull the remaining elastic/scrunchie post-twist all the way down to the base of my scalp. I leave it slightly above so it has even more tension holding the hair so that it surrounds the ponytail base and thus is a bit more secure. - If I want it to look more intentional and chic, or if someone doesn’t have the technique totally down, here’s another suggestion. Do it as best as you can and just make sure it’s secure on your head. Then use like 2 bobby pins to ensure your hair completely covers the elastic/scrunchie that way. I use the trick from Scout’s ballerina bun video tutorial for a magazine (Cosmo? Elle? Glamour?). Grab the hair into the bobby pin with the loop of the pin facing toward the head & the 2 ends facing out. Pull bobby pin ends away from the head, then flip it *under* and secure the pin *under* the hair, elastic/scrunchie, and ponytail base. Maybe if you only need a thin elastic (unlike me), you could literally pin *into* the elastic itself. Good luck ☺️

Angie C: My new favorite go-to bun I found on tiktok. I tried that version, and it did not turn out for me. The way I found that is my go to (I have long hair) is to put your hair up like a normal ponytail, but on your last loop with your hair tie, make a small bun with the rest of the hair hanging out. Then take the hair hanging down and twist it slightly and wrap around the pony tail, and tuck the ends into the hair tie. To finish it off, fan out that first little bun you made and pin each side with a bobby pin. This is the most secure bun and super easy. It works out every time for me.

Tiara O'No: That faux braid is exactly how i like to "braid" my hair for bed. But instead of hair I use a silk scarf! I put my hair in a side pony, and slide the scarf through and then tie the two ends together, and just Pull through, cross, pull through cross, until i get to the end.

Mana Smith: I finally got the bun with Kayley’s instructions and it still took me 15 tries, but it’s cute, and it works and then I just set a scrunchie over it and it’s cute

Annie Huang: Anna Laura's entrance to the video was absolutely fab haha :D I love your sister-collabs!

Lynn: This video makes me feel SOOOOOOO much better at my fails of trying these "messy bun" hacks!

Lisa White: Kayley: why does dry shampoo always make my hair even greasier? I finally figured out that I needed to let it set for a minute before massaging it, but it still gets greasy. And if I do it on the second day before my hair gets greasy on its own, the shampoo itself makes it greasy. I’ve tried a few different brands. What’s the deal?

Naomi S: Tried the "braid", then twisted it into a bun. That looks really cute and a lot more intricate than a normal braided bun. :)

Anni M: I just tried this messy bun hack fulling expecting it to not work and it actually worked out FIRST try. I did need a few bobby pins tho, but thats normal for my hair. I am shook! Messy buns usually never work for me. Not sure if I can recreate it lol. and I am afraid to try again because it looks good now

J T: These videos are fantastic! Love fast and pretty ways to learn to style my hair. Ponytails are getting old….

Catherine England: I feel much better about myself now that I've seen you struggle with the "easy" messy bun, I've tried it so many times and it has never turned out.

Christie Reynolds: I saw the messy bun hack and I had the same struggles. Just ended up typing my hair in so many knots.

Megan Elle: I would love to have both a camera from the front as well as one in the back when you're trying these styles! I just stood in the mirror for 20 minutes trying to do that bun..

SqueekyToy123: That snap windmill at 13:45 is perfect. I love the energy in videos where you guys are together :)

Mandy Heart: For the ponytail hack (two section twist & pull through and over), why are you doing a part in the front? You can do it without the part (just a normal pulled straight back on top ponytail) and it’s a lot easier and more successful.

Christina Stoops: I love you both sm!! Love this series, can you bring back the hardest braids on the internet videos!! Loved them!! but instead of Instagram do TikTok

Sam Cam: I learned that messy bun trick on YouTube maybe 3-5 years ago during the peak messy bun era. It’s just about getting the twist while wrapping the hair tie around the base. If I remembered the video I’d send it but it’s been A MINUTE. ngl it’s a bomb method when you need a quick way to put up your hair but there’s definitely an ideal length to do it.

・oldfashionedfireseeker・abby: Applauding Anna Laura! You two are the best collab together!

Akira-Miyashi: Missed your energy in the videos, Anna Laura! Glad to see you here!

Lindsay Zeth: Keep practicing with the messy bun, I finally got it and now I can do it no problem!

odessa1011: Love y’all’s energy!!! Gorgeous ladies!

Mary Fowler: Ive done the last one so many exactly how you do it and my hair falls down immediately. My messy buns are actually the easiest AND fastest. Not that monstrosity.

A. Rosa-Gonzalez-Avila: The Dyson Air Wrap has been the best beauty investment I have ever made. I dry my hair with any of the brushes then I use the curling barrels when my hair is dry and pin curl it over night and the curls last all day without any hair product in my hair.

Erin Davis: Kayley, I would love to know what you asked your colorist for in terms of highlights for your look here. I'm going in next week and absolutely love your color - I'd love to try to get as close to this as possible. TIA! <3

Tiffany Carter: Knowing how Anna Laura is about things getting stuck in her hair, I'm actually surprised that they kept trying to get it so many times.

Violet Rose: I learnt how to do that last faux braid from bebexo like ages ago I used to wear it to school when I would need to braid my hair within a minute.

Rattus: Love that you considered people with limitations (carpal tunnel, arthritis, etc.) in the faux braid review!

Julianne Nedeljak: Yay! I haven't watched yet but I know its going to be great! I love all your videos Edit: I always love your hack videos and this one was no different! Also, welcome back AL! We missed you!

Lyna: Anna Laura's blowout look was soooo beautiful I wish I had straight hair to do it but my hair would have to go through hell in order to look like that

Natasha Estrada: That bun hack is what I've always done but I have uber curly hair so I think the texture helps hold it.

McKensey Eddy: I got the bun! Took me about 8 attempts too! ... you guys were twisting the wrong direction (go under towards your face instead of back and over the top). I love it! Not too tight but super secure<3

Sabina Hertzum: I’ve figured out the bunhack - what I saw you guys do is switch up between flipping one way and then the other - I think that’s what messed you up… What I do is that instead of grabbing a loop with my thumb and index finger at the bottom, I stick my fingers through the bottom bit, making sure that my little finger and thumb are on the outside of what’s essentially a ponytail… I make sure the ponytail holder I’m using is a little loose and worn ( preferably fabric covered ‘phone cord’ pony holders) - new ones are too tight to do the flip… The holder is on the wrist that’s grabbing the bottom… with the other hand I pull the ponytail holder over top of the hand… Then I stick my hand through, holding my palm towards the mirror, I then slide my thumb by my ear, towards the back of my head and flip the pony over twice ( the second pass is always harder)… Then I grab the hair the other hand was holding, and with the now loose hand I pull over the pony holder.. pull apart, arrange and pin in place… To remove it’s easiest to remove all pins, lift the bun and grab the part of the pony holder that’s closest to the scalp ( that’s the part you pulled over when you made it)… That way the pony holder won’t get tangled in the hair, because you remove it in the same steps as you put it in….

Danielle Ziemba: I think the answer with the ponytail hack for Annalaura is to sacrifice her part haha. The TikTok looked like she had all her hair combed fully back instead of keeping it parted. If you keep it parted, the flip through will always shift the hair weirdly.

Brooke Grill: The trick to the bun is to keep your thumb out of the pony tail that way your wrist can turn! I seriously took days figuring that stupid bun out just to hate how big it was on my head

Tamara Morton: This was fun to watch and I enjoyed it. The only problem with the updos is getting in and out of the car with it remaining intact! It’s hard. But it’s hot in the summertime and I’ll continue to use updos. Bayeee!

Sea Life nails: I tried that bun maybe a few times and I was done. No thanks lol I give you props for trying as much as you did. Lol it was awesome to see Anna Laura back!

Keri McCall: I will have to try the dry shampoo hacks! Those were my favorite as a oily roots girl

Olivia Smith: I'm so excited to see Ana Laura! You two together make my day!

Chicken_Chaser_101: Hey love your videos and your energy! I would love to see a video for long hair braid or no elastic looks with no products, pins and preparation that could last up to two days ! The only video I see of that is for medieval looks like hair tapping. It's really nice but I don't really want to look like I'm coming out of a medieval fair everyday! Love you girls !

Ender Smith: I have super short hair but I still love watching your vids. You and your sis are so entertaining and upbeat. I love it. <3

Rachel Frumkin: I was really missing Al's face in videos so I had to go back to a fave. Also needed that dry shampoo velcro curler hack.

Chloe Hill: Yay! I love your hack videos and your videos with Anna Laura so this is awesome Love your vids Kayley!

Shaina Ann: Anna : I have fomo! * me everytime I watch these videos lol * ❤ The dedication to the bun was real ladies

Karen1Nicola: Been heating my roots before using velcro rollers for over 20 years

Me Me: so great and yall are so fun together to watch. thank you for this. XOXO

Amanda Fisher: Great video Ladies, can you do more on easy to do braids for both long and shorter hair. I don’t own the dyson air wrap but the clip idea is great. Thank you wait your next video.

Ashley Sanden: You guys figuring out the messy bun is me every. single. time. That's why I don't ever do them

MSUSPARTANS 1995: Kayley’s bow after the secure ponytail on Anna is awesome!

Mitz Guerrero: Your editor just went mad over the keyboard after watching you doing all those attempts... #lovedramaedit

fksongbird28: Yay Anna Laura! Missed her in your videos! Love the sister dynamic!

Lauren Wilson: So happy I found this channel. Love you both. ❤️

Alfie Jones: Anna Laura offering to put her hair in a ballet bun for Kayley's wedding made my day. So cute and funny <3 <3

Kristan Makl: I do the bun thing and for me it does work every time, but it took me a little while to figure it out and you need the right kind of band. I think toward the end of the bun bit you had it right except I do one loop around my pony to hold it in place and then make the “rainbow” on the second loop. Then I make sure I’m twisting toward the mirror

Jiani Overkamp: Thank you for explaining the messy bun tutorial

venus june bug: Nice! Double happiness. Both hacks are amazing. Imma saving this to my bookmarks.

Hannah Dare: Just started the video and ANNALAURA IS BACK!!!!! missed seeing you and Kayley together so much

Mekenzie Froehlich: I LOVE that messy bun. I’ve had no issues with it. And I can even do it with my hair straight and that’s what I love about it. I feel like they did it a few different times. It’s supposed to be messy

SuperHee2: The fake braid thing is different than I do. I split on both sides to make a 3 D braid

Stacie Wagner: Thanks for the video! Gonna try a few of these. Also, I love that top Anna Laura has on! Is it a FP brami? Anyway, another great video ❤️

MissChocosugar: The first hack with the dry shampoo. I don’t think it worked out for long but the hack with the Airwrap and the pins. Amazing . I will try this. Just need the pins or the clips.

Kaila Shepherd: That bun *hack* looked like an Olympic sport!

AmyDZ1: OMG i had so much trouble trying to do that messy bun from tiktok. I’m glad I’m not alone.

Serena Enzersdorf: There's another version of that braid where you split hair into 3 sections and pull the middle section through the side section. It makes it look like 3 braids pinned together. Love it! More clear instrutions if anyone is curious: split hair into 3 sections; make an opening in the either side section and pull the middle section through it (now a side section became a middle section, and a middle section became a side section); make an opening in the other side section and pull the new middle section through it; repeat. Love the look it makes in the end.

Natalie J: I guess I already did my bun that way, but dammed if I could explain it or teach someone else how the magic happens, lol!

Kaitlin Pb: No one can say you two don’t try your absolute best to make that messy bun hack work

Ingunn Johansen: Thanks for nice video :) You are wo sweet. I really liked the Dyson airwrap with clips and I tried it, loved it. So thanks. I just wonder how long the curls should cool before you take out the clips? And what would you recommend to use before you brush out hair in evening after have curled/hairspray hair before go to bed so hair does not break?

Tazzie1312: Wow that dry shampoo/roller trick would be GREAT if your hair is mostly good from the day before but you've just got some bed head flattening. Cool one!

Ashley Miller: Can you do TikTok heatless curls hacks? I’ve been dying to see you do them because I just can’t always get it from TikTok

C Tran: Anna Laura is hair goals!!! I have thick hair but I feel like my hair cut or hairstyles never look as nice as hers. I just want her haircut!!

Julia Zaretskaya: Omg I had the same experience with the messy bun. I couldn’t make it work for the life of me. I have no idea how to do it!

J G: VIDEO IDEA ! MESSY BUN TRYOUTS - please do a video testing all of laineymariebeauty's messy buns variations. Thank you! Great video guys, very fun to watch!

antonio snyder: Would the stacked pony thing work with a high ponytail? I like how they both turned out but personally I just prefer my ponytails a bit higher and I feel like with this hack you could possibly go like full cheerleader mode, super peppy super high pony maybe with a bow lol

Lilly Walling: I love Kayley so much!! I’ve missed this duo too!

Michelle: Been trying that bun for months and can't figure it out. Conclusion: that girl sold her soul to the devil in order to get views on TikTok and have a nice bun.

Cassie Orosz: Love these videos!! Love your channel!! Love you both!! Never clicked so quickly before in my life lol!!

Zoe Panagakos: Petition to bring back the Instagram Braid Challenge!!

Angel DM: Actually, for the bun, the second girl doesn't twist the hair two times, she twists once and then makes the bun.

Lisa McGrath: oh my goodness yes i love the first two hacks Kaylee and AnnaLaura

Susan Allman: YAY!!! Love that Anna Laura is is back for Tik Tok hair hacks!!
