**For those of you wondering, I don't use any products specified towards thick hair. I try and maintain a healthy diet, which I think plays a part into healthy hair. But I don't use anything to make it thick.

Hey guys so today I'm going to be showing you how to style curtain bangs, so we're gon na jump right into it. I'M going to be using this perfect defense heat protectant by Moroccan oil and these two round brushes, so I'm starting off with freshly washed hair. Just out of the shower - and I'm spraying this Moroccan oil in it just to protect it from the heat and then I am combing my hair and I'm parting it down the middle. Now curtain bangs, you really do have to wear a middle part. I get asked this a ton on my how to cut curtain bangs video on if you have to wear a middle part, and you really do because if you don't you're, not gon na get the true curtain, bangs they're, just gon na be more like side bangs. So I started by combing my hair parting, it down the middle and I'm going in blow-drying my bangs. Now I always start with my bangs first, because you want to make sure to get these dry before they start air drying, because otherwise they're not going to lay right. So I leave the rest of my hair for the end and I'm going to blow-dry my bangs. First, so what I start off doing as you can see, I am blow-drying my bangs forward and then I'm blow-drying them both directions, so I'm blow-drying them to the right and then to the left. So really just every direction forward and then left and right. So they kind of start laying the way we want and then I'm gon na be taking my round brush, I'm starting with the smaller round brush, which I tend to use when my bangs are shorter, and then I go with that bigger round brush. I showed at the beginning of the video when they are longer so I'm taking my bangs and I'm blow-drying them forward and just rolling the brush under them and I'm just blow-drying that forward curling it under and then again just kind of blow-drying my bangs down. Then I'm parting, my bangs off down the middle and now I'm gon na kind of focus on shaping them. So what I do I take my round brush and I'm going behind the hair, as you can see, behind the hair and then I'm blow-drying it forward and out like that. So this is kind of gon na give that swooping shape. So take your brush you're, going behind hair and then you're kind of pulling it towards your forehead and then pulling it away from your face. It'S a little difficult to explain. The best way is just to show you so, as you can see in the video. I'M just kind of taking it behind the hair, pulling it forward and then pulling it back, and then I also, I will again then take the brush under and kind of round brush them forward. So the key to the key to bangs is there's not just one direction. You need to take them, you kind of have to blow-dry them a few different ways and everyone's hair is different, but this is the best technique. I have found to get the most consistent results with curtain bangs because I've had them for a while, and this works best for me and then, as you can see here, I'm also taking the round brush underneath the hair and pulling it down and to the side To get that curled under shape that I want so again, I'm taking the round brush and taking it underneath the bangs and just blow drying them forward, and then I'm kind of blow-drying them just straight down with the hair brush. So once I've gotten them dry and kind of gotten the shape that I like I go ahead, I go ahead and blow-dried the rest of my hair and then I come back always after I blow dry, the rest of my hair, just to reshape them to make Sure they're laying how I want with the blow dryer and I do have another video that I filmed coming on, how to give yourself a blowout. So if you want to know how I blow dry the rest of my hair and get it really full and smooth, there will be a video coming for that. But this video is just dedicated to curtain bangs because they're so trendy right now and I absolutely love them and I think they look so cute. But I think a big mistake is a lot of people. Don'T know how to style them. So I wanted to create this video to try and help you guys, alright, so that's pretty much them finished with the blow-dryer. I think it's really important to start with the blow-dryer and make sure to start styling with them when they're damp, and then I go back in with a flat iron afterwards, just to reshape them a little. If I need to, as you can see, I'm just taking small sections and I'm kind of pulling it down towards my face with a little curl under just like so and one thing I wanted to mention a huge lifesaver with curtain bangs dry shampoo, because a lot Of people their banks tend to get oily and you don't want have to wash them every day and so dry. Shampoo is great. It gives them a little volume and a little bit more texture, so they don't lay so flat, so sometimes I'll even put a little dry shampoo in right after I Flo tried them just to get the shape and style that I want. But I love these bangs and I really hope this video helps you guys. If you have any questions, please feel free to comment down below and I will do my best to help you. If you're looking to get curtain bangs, I have a video on how to cut them, so I will make sure to link that in this video somewhere and yeah, I love curtain bangs. I hope you guys do too. If you have any pictures feel free to share them with me on social media, and I will see you guys in my next video bye.

Anna Murrell: Just got curtain bangs, love them so much! But I got home and realized I had no idea how I was going to style them myself this helped so much! Thank you!

sabrina marie: I’ve had curtain bangs for about 5 months now I have been struggling to make them look good everyday, I would like to try this method although I do not have a round brush. I will for sure try this after I pick one up!

naz khan: I'm not brave enough to cut my bangs yet but I have hair envy every time I see your hair! So beautiful!

Carla Bruggemans: Your hair is so beautiful. I'm officially jealous Anyway, my hair is too short for this style, but my teenage daughter copies everything you do, so the tutorial comes in very handy She wouldn't leave the house this morning until I styled her hair like this. BTW, happy you are back after a long absense.

Samanta Rizzi: I cut my own curtain bangs a while ago and I love them! I think this hairstyle is great for people who hate their forehead a.k.a me I was inspired by Dakota Johnson to get this type of bangs actually. She was gorgeous in Fifty Shades movies! ❤️

Ceyda Özalp: you gave me the confidence to cut curtain bangs, thank you soo much. everyone in my class loves them ❤️❤️ you look absolutely beautiful with the bangs

amanda: This is the exact look I've been trying to get with mine, thank you!

Kaitlyn Yvonne: You are a genius! I've tried so many other methods before coming to yours and none seemed to achieve the shape/flow that I wanted. Then, I found your video and it worked wonders. Thank you! p.s: you are so gorgeous

Wannabe Pronstar: Whoa, you're really beautiful. You have a late 90s Hollywood actress type of look. You inspire me to wanna get bangs.

Kiki Shix: Really helps! Thanks! Love how u go straight forward with it and not give a speech before the actual tutorial

Baby Skate: I'm obsessed with curtain bangs!!! I've previously had blunt bangs, fully grown out now, but they're a bit dated in 2020, so I hope to get curtain bangs soon. My goal is to completely cover my forehead though, so I just won't be styling or wearing them with a split, just straight forward and feathered only on the very sides. Just thought that might help anyone hoping to de-emphasize a disliked forehead (me)

KpopKnitter: I just got curtain bangs and this really helped. I’m definitely going to need some practice, but I’ll get there

Rosalie: Just want to say that I ve watched over 10 videos on people styling their bangs. But this is by far the best video cause of the way you describe it! Thank you!

Elyzsabeth Ahne: Thank you--you're one hundred percent correct that one needs to have a center part in order to wear curtain bangs!

Fay Coleman: I have curly hair yet I still want these bangs! My theory is that as they grow out I can change up the style of bang by changing the part. Once they hit a certain point I can part it and style it as a curly side bang and let it grow out without using further heat on it.

Tabitha Craig: This helps a lot! I have bangs and I havent been able to get them to look good. I'm def going to try this

Ashely Fearlessly Fit: When I do curtain bangs with my flat iron the left side swoops perfectly but the right swoops towards my face. Even though I do the same exact thing on both sides. Any tips??

Valeria Rodriguez: Thanks this video was a life saver ! I have a question what color is your hair if it's dyed ?

Onya Buranakanchana: Do you have any tips on how the volume stays all day? Mine keep falling during the day

Lil: you‘re so pretty!!!!! thanks for the tutorial

It’s Jazlyn: Just cut my curtain bangs and loveeeee them

A-Dubs: Forgot this channel existed. Still never unsubbing cuz she's so beautiful.
