Hi, I'm Sally Hughes and welcome I'm in the house of Bumble and Bumble in downtown New York. What I wanted to do with some videos and with the stylist, showing our models, who are real women, how to do their hair at home and to get that salon finish. So I'm sitting here with wet hair, because what I really wanted to talk about was the new trend for air styling. There were lots of brands now doing products for air styling and the idea behind that is to take wet hair to put one or two simple products in and then not blow dry. Just to make it super super simple, so Denise is going to show me on my own hair how to achieve that. So we've started with just a touch of water so as if you came right out of the shower pull it through, you want to make sure the hair is going in the direction that it nor you normally wear it. We'Re gon na start with beauty, texture. Okay, this one definitely has a good amount of hold, I'm going to add a little bit of the don't blow it, which is also a new product. This will just soften up the strength of this product, a touch so I'm actually mixing them in my hands together. I'M starting in the back mm-hmm, I'm gently working it through the ends and you can run mm-hmm what's left on your hands through the top, but it's really getting it nice and even without globbing it on hmm and again, I go back to combing it through, but I use a wide tooth comb, it okay and again, I'm really finding where your hair naturally sits and I'm giving a little lift at the root so that it doesn't get too flat. On top you could physically come in and twist you could do fat sections. You could do skinny sections. The idea is that it looks natural and irregularity is okay. The other thing I was going to say to get volume on the top is to take sections in your hand and instead of just twisting you pull straight up yeah and then you twist as its drying. You could gently, you know, press it. Okay, like you're, pressing it and loosening it, you get more of like a wave, then uh narrated, you know, 80s, look the other thing. We could comb back through it all right. We already have our product in there shake it up, mm-hmm and then using like a towel to kind of press it, oh okay and again that will give a little bit more of like a loose bin and then what kind of arrange it a bit a month. Yep just use your hands to kind of get that lift at the front, so you've done it you've arranged it with pressed it. I pressed it so we're going to leave it. No hairdryer we're just going to leave it and we're going to see what happens. Okay, so we took a little break for my hair to dry. Naturally, no blow-dryer has been near my hair, so everything Deniz did before and that we did together. That has now just dried. Naturally, what am i doing so you want to have something on your hands or something to put in the hair, so you can create a little bit more lift a little bit more volume. I, like the thickening dry spun and you can kind of take your hands like a claw and kind of pick up from the root room and start to spray. It'S all about like massaging the head, so getting a little more grip in there mm-hmm here. Do you want to spray some and massage it a little bit and that's it? It is that simple, and I guess, if you wanted to dress it up, you could do some back combing and evening or absolutely whatever elastic love it thanks very much for watching

Lisa Schooler: It is such a shame that the Newave CurlEasy Pro Plastic double prong twirling brushes are no longer manufactured. Those were the most wonderful wonderful tools to help shape the hair as it dries naturally and I would often twist my hair around them leisurely as it dried and then use the end to lift the roots. They were such a marvelous creation. They’re sort of like the Roll N Go hair tool for victory rolls, but one end was solid a long narrow handle and it was a more rigid plastic. They used to be sold for about five dollar at Sally beauty supply but the manufacturer themselves quit producing it and even the company they got it from in China originally no longer cared to make it either....

Linzi Walker: My hair would not look like that if I left it to dry naturally; it would somehow manage to be both both flat and frizzy on the top of my head and then absolutely huge at the ends. Great concept though!

Channel Mum: So simple and a great idea for busy mums

LadyLeelu: Sali, you have fabulous hair and style! Love it.

Susanne - RangerMommy: It used to be called "scrunching".

micapetey: I can only try this after I've had a keratin treatment otherwise my hair is a mess of frizz and uneven waves.

stacey Simpson: If I twist my hair wet it falls completely straight again. I don't see how any of these air dry products would work for naturally straight haired girls. Seems like a lot of time and effort for a no effort look?!

Agnieszka Adye: Or alternatively do nothing and you will look exactly the same..... Plus save yourself some money for a proper hairdressing.

Tau Andreea: Hi, what is the name of the final spray used for volume?

Ruthie R: If you’ve got a lot of hair or coarse hair, this is NOT gonna work for you.

Tima Aldoseri: Is it too hard to get natural?!

helen dean: Who's got the time for this!!!!!

Heidi Dewhirst: I don't think Sali was enjoying that at all

Tahsina.M.R: Why is the camera work.so shaky?!

Jamie Marie: Lots of hands in the air = frizz

18Daisy Doll: Oooohhhh not a fan of this juddery erratic camera work, and a f***ing annoying background track..... I'm a Sali Hughes fan but this was misery

D Woods: Seasick...oof Thx for tips, though.

Olechka C.: how flipping steady that camara annoying af

Barefoot Knitter: Are your eyes open?
