Oh i've been working on another butterfly haircut sectioning pattern to create something like the rachel from friends and all that sort of thing. That'S going on. I'Ve come up with a new sectioning pattern. I'Ve been working on in the salon. Uh i've been working basically on clients, sort of taking it to here to create a little bit more shortness in the back shortness of the size, but maintaining the length. So this is it in ponytail four and what this is, what you've got to remember so many people in the comments, a lot of you love it. A lot of people in the comments have been saying that i hope you don't do this on clients and uh. I hope you don't oh professional hairdresser. I hope you don't do this like no hey, thank you for bringing it to people's attention. I don't do it in salon like this, but what you've got remember is these are points of reference, so there's a point of reference on top point reference on the side. If, in the salon floor, we pull head to here, take it out cut it, bring that hair up to there cut it, what we're going to achieve shortness of the front longer at the back. If we take that to there - and we cut that there with that pulled back there, that pulled up there, we're going to get some shortness in the middle on the top. But then we're going to have this length. That'S just going to cascade around the face and then into the back section. So these are really quick ways and from for me in here i've been doing loads of mannequins all day. Like salon versions, i love to have a little bit of fun. So this is a really quick way to show you a butterfly haircut really really simply, and it looks unbelievable. So let me just show you the sectioning pattern. So section pattern comes from like recession, just up a little bit. What could we use as a point of reference corner of the brow through there and then this one dips down, so it dips down right into here, so a circular bone and crown probably bang in the middle of where that sits, occipital bone crowns up here. That'S probably in the middle, so it dips right down into there. So we know we're gon na we're gon na create some shortness. On top on the sides. We'Ve got the two sections through here: i'll show you here so uh middle parting down the back pushed forward pushed forward. That'S going to maintain length through here. So we know we're still going to keep it nice and long, and then we've come back a little bit from the hairline from the hairline. I'M not going to be cutting it at the bands, because that would be more like a mullet. But these are just points of reference as to what we want to achieve, i'm just looking for my scissors, so yeah. These are just points of reference for if i was working in salon - and i wanted to create shortness in here, but maintain length through the front and everything i'll probably be bringing up to here - maybe i could be pulling this forward there that back there this. I could be pulling this back here and out this forward and out. So this is all this is, so i don't want to go too short, i'm not cutting the band or anything, but what i want to create is is like texture and softness and the butterfly cut is beautifully soft. So what we're going to do is we'll say a comb. Shall we we'll go a comb throughout? That'S what we'll do make it really simple for you so from the band to there i'm not pulling any way because i've got the the direction coming from the band. So i'm just point cutting this length off through this top. Let me just clean it up. What you've got to remember is all the hair. That'S on the head stretched back. That is also length, so this isn't going to be really really short. A deep point cut. Just to soften off some texture in there, so if you want a point of reference, that's sitting as a really nice fringe right. What we're going to do now, pull our put our fingers there from the bottom of the band there. So there's our length there. How simple is this just make sure that is there yeah now this is going to give us a lot of shape around the face and the length at the back is going to be extended. So we're going to maintain that length as well there nice this side. What we're going to do now is again bottom of the band to my fingers. Can you see i'm doing basically doing exactly the same you'll see in a second probably see all the hair fall on the floor and again just a deep point cut into there to create the softness. You'Ll see all that come out there. We go so look balance balance the unveil beast. First, there we go, i don't know what you're waiting for you wait for the shake and i've got a new shake, put your finger in the hole and you twist or you spin it you spin her around, and this is what does it. This is the magic, not the haircut. This is what gives you the final result. I just love doing these because they're so quick and simple, and just to give a really good understanding of what we're going to be looking at. If we were to do that in salon, look we've kept all that length. We'Ve got all of this shape all around the face all through there. So what i'll do now, like? I didn't do any other ones, i'll style it out, but let's bring up a little bit closer if we were to imagine all of these layers, all cascading backwards kept all that length. Another butterfly haircut, super simple, oh and one thing as well. People said he didn't show the back on the last one. There you go so the reason for having these coming up to here is so we get that that layer see all that shape in there and if these just all come back, you can see all those layers that are in there. So that is a really quick, butterfly haircut. Let me just style it out i'll put a little bit a little put a little bit of shape in there. Shall i just so, you can see yeah. I will join me back in a minute if i ever release this part of the video. The reason i'm using the wider ones is create that the elongated curls, the bigger thicker curls, bigger thicker waves just want to be like wings, and these are the alpha italia, lustro grande, so there it is all styled out for you just used just some straighteners quickly. Just basically quick plate, uh thick plates just quickly just to put a little bit of shape in there, so you can see it so. On the last video you were like: oh didn't, really style it or anything, but this is just a quick style on the salon. Pro version i'll style it all out, so you get to see everything there is but yeah, that's it. Let me know in the comments down below what you think is it nicer than the version? Do you like to prefer the other version to this version, or do you like the new version? I'Ve just done, but yeah look at how much volume that gives and shape so yeah really enjoyed it. I hope you did too. Let me know in the comments down below what you think thumbs up is normal and i'm on the road to 100k. If you could hit that red button, i'd be much appreciated. Thank you. So much for watching we'll see you on the next video

Anne Stephens: I love this cut! My hair is thinning as I get a little older. I did a wolf cut on myself last year and LOVED it but I did notice the longer pieces (much like here) would tangle and knot a good bit. I'm guessing because there wasn't as much bulk with the longer sections as there was with the rest of the layers? Any ideas or pointers should I try this cut? I don't want to rip my hair at the ends when I brush it again lol

K Z: I really appreciate these videos for cutting my own hair! I don’t have the funds to go to a salon! Thank you for posting the ponytail videos!!!!

Melanie C: Thank you. I gave up going to salons. This is the haircut I was seeking forever and no hairdresser even after giving them pictures gave me this haircut. So I did it on myself tonight. I don’t think I did a great job but I tried. I think I didn’t measure correctly. Kinda difficult my hair is because it’s super curly so. Looks good but maybe I need better shears because I think I cut to short some areas. But thanks very much. I will let it grow a little bit and try again lol.

andrea dixon: Loving your pony tail cuts really interesting to see the location of the ponytails then what you end up with making me think as a stylist about all my angles and using over direction

PlurBaybee: Would this work for curly hair too? I am thinking of asking for either a wolf style cut or butterfly cut, my hair is curly and down to my butt. Its been four years since I have had it cut professionally and I am trying to use your videos as a point of reference for when I do actually work with someone. >< Last time I had my hair done at a salon they made it REALLY short and I've been scared to go hair dresser shopping. Thank you for these videos though. It helps with knowing what language to use when I do look for a dresser - as someone who is neurodivergent communicating isn't always easy or clear but knowing the right words - or point of references helps!

Cathy Rackowski: When you do this in the salon is the back as straggly as it appears in your video? I’ve gotten tired of this V shape back so I’m wondering if this is just an affect from the ponytails.

JassiraBeauty: What’s the best layered haircut (ponytail) for fine low density hair?

Dorelle G: Haha you are funny. I'm feeling hormonal so I might do this cut on my self tmrw Thanks for the work

miztropraine Raine: Hi it would be great when doing these demonstrations to show how it will look for different hair textures, curly/wavy/straight

23neogems: Wow that's a wolfcut right? I mean it got layers and all and I liked the idea of ponytails I'm gonna definetly try this

Vixen: This is the cut i ask my hairdessers but they always cut only ends and no layers.

Paulina WhiteDove: I can’t imagine doing a haircutting video without having a camera on top of the person‘s head so that we can see what you’re doing there should also be a camera on each side of you so that we can see this from all different angles.

Stacey Dickinson: Desperately trying to understand you but the volume or the proximity from you to the recorder is so low.. we'll just have to go by visual.. lol

Lana- Online Business & Life: Great, but i still wish that you visit Dubai salons.

SUNLESS SKINCARE ☀️GLO2GO: I was seriously considering this haircut but the back looks way too thin maybe it’s just for people with thin hair.. no DIYERS. ‍♀️

Stacey Dickinson: Love the video.. volume hard to hear
