Today, we're trying out some fun twists the braidless crochet way. So, if you want to see me transform from this to this, make sure you stay tuned, these are the products and tools i used to prep my hair. Today they will be linked in the description box below my hair was actually already set in a twist out, which only lasted me about two days and i'll get into that in a later video. I promise, but i'm just going to brush out my curls and blow my hair out to a manageable state so that when i go to braid it or lay it down, i'm not in struggle city. Y'All have seen me do braidless crochets before, but this time i have a strategy to my pattern so that i have options over the next couple of weeks. So my plan with this pattern is to use it for multiple installs. So if i end up not liking these twists, for whatever reason i can just take them out and go with another crochet style or just slap on a wig, so you got ta love the versatility. I'Ve separated my hair into two sections part it from ear to ear, so i have a front and a back for the front, i'm going to start parting in the middle and work my way down to the ears with five rows on each side. For the first row, i'm going to part it into five boxes for the first box, i'm going to secure it with a rubber band twist it a few inches down, then connect it to the next box and repeat the same steps. Now i really wanted to try this without rubber bands, but just braiding each box and connecting them by the time i got to the third box. My hair was just way too thick to hold tightly so i only shared this option because it's totally an option. If you don't want to use rubber bands, you can just simply braid down each section and connect the sections together this one. Once i finished the front, i connected two rows into five cornrows in the back. I'M oiling my scalp really good, because it's been extra dry during these colder months, then tucking the ends with my crochet hook and one quick note you'll see that my edges are laid down like i left a good chunk of them out as i've been getting older. My hairline has been thinning out, so i want to make sure i maintain what little bit of hair i got left, so i'm just gon na leave those out and then just tie them down nightly as needed on to the star of the show. I picked up. These passion twists by zuri from my local beauty, supply store. This is in the color, som, 27 third and the package claims. You only need one to complete a full head. I ended up counting a total of 105 twists and they come tiered in different lengths. 9 inches 10 inches and 11 inches. If you want a layered look, you would start with the 11 inches in the back and work up to the 9 inch in the front. I wanted a more fuller bob look, so i started with the 9 inch in the back 10 inch in the middle and 11 in the front. Here is a closer look at the crochet technique, with this type of illusion parting, it's okay to space your twist out, especially if they're on the large side. Unless it's your thing, you don't want to overcrowd them. I spaced the back out about two finger widths apart in the front. I just installed them where needed, to cover the rubber bands and the linked hair. So here we are install complete. It took me about 45 minutes for the crochet pattern and 30 minutes to insert the twist. So here are my final thoughts. The hair is way softer than i thought it was going to be so it's light as a feather on my head, which is a total plus i'm going to be sleeping very well. I do think they could have put about 10 to 20 more twists in the package. I had to do some finagling in the back to cover up some spots. I also wanted a bit more fullness. Considering everyone has different head sizes, adding a few more would ease some worries. I'M sure i did end up cutting it a little bit to shape up the ends so having the loose curly ends, helps with adjusting it to your liking. Cutting the ends off entirely is also an option because it's short styling is limited, but i did find a couple i did like. I must say i was not feeling this at first. My main concern was that it did kind of age me and make me look a lot younger, which is not a bad problem to have, but i am a grown woman y'all, it's definitely a kid-friendly style, but will this come together for a sophisticated look? I guess so not too bad for a night out huh the length in the movement gives me flirty girl, vibes my hubby and i went out for the evening and i got so many compliments. You guys my girlfriend couldn't even tell it was crochet. So i guess that's confirmation enough, so that wraps today's video, you guys comment below. What'S your favorite crochet style, do you like to go braidless way, or do you want to be braided all the way up girl like this video on your way out subscribe for more content like this, each and every week and i'll catch you in the next one? Bye

Terri Sargent: Love the look. I never trust packs that say it can do a full head and girl every time someone says you're younger looking, enjoy the compliment because it slows up quick. Great job.

Tygrrose: Finally a crochet method that doesn’t untwist the twist just to re-twist it. Ty!

jackie carr: So simple to do. The best simple instructions I’ve watched in a long time. I’m going to try this. Great video

Rose 🌹: This crochet method is more time-efficient than the individual passion twists, but I love both methods! Your hair is lovely. My edges are also thinning as I age.

April T.: Thank you for this quick style. 45 minutes for the base and less for the install. Awesome.

Ebonee Winston: Um, who doesn’t want to look younger! When you’re in your 50’s, that’s all you think about so will definitely give these a try, especially while in quarantine. You look beautiful!

Mrs. Vontrail J.: I love this girl!! The style you chose is definitely my favorite ❤️❤️ trying this next

TruthSeekr5000: I did not like it at first but you pulled it together beautifully in the end. You did a wonderful job. It helped me to know how to be creative on a style I may not like that I do myself. Your an Artista for sure! Kudos

Jen Owens: Thanks for the detailed video! Beautiful job! Adding some oil to the rubber bands before install is a good tip I got from other youtubers to reduce breakage!

Olivia D.: I’m older than I look- I loved the fact that u mentioned the hairline can thin with age! I have been thinking the same thing recently, bc I am natural, no color, no tension on my edges ever, but that thinning is REAL!! Just leaving it out where u see thinning is a great idea, I’m going to try it

Shafeqah: Absolutely beautiful! Great job! I really liked your pattern.

Carrie Seals: I can't wait to try this...thank you. I would've loved to see the install in the back but I'm going to give it a try

Gwen Hall: thanks for making this video. you made it look so easy. Im encouraged to try for the first time.

Mel C: Hey, I recently tired this method having an undercut. It was pretty easy to do and my hair on top is about 2-3inches. The hair I used was 6inch Bob Spring Twist.

BC 12: Great tutorial and love the look! That’s just what I want to do next on myself! I hope they have it gray bcuz my hair is gray.

Yvonne Hubbard: You did a great job. I definitely want to do this on my daughter. She has long hair and always wants a bob look.

Danielle Harris: Yesssssss!!! You did that! Im about to do a crochet style in my hair for the first time on myself. And i will definitely be using ur rubberband and twist method.

Dose by Marquita: I love your content, I’m new to Dallas and will be opening my braid suite soon. You motivate me and I know I will be able to braid full time very soon. Thanks for sharing

L G: This is really pretty! Love the color too. I used to do this 20 yrs ago when it was called "latch hook", but w/braids. This method looks so much faster & easier. Great job! Please do a tutorial for the makeup. Purple is my color!

Ms.Bubs4fun: Love how the earrings match your eyeshadow. Nice touch!

Syca: So cute! I thought I was the only one who wants the grown woman look but enjoys this type of style (I cut my loss off so box braids and rope twists are now my go tos) ...I'm still trying to find the balance of looking my age with hairstyles. You are so beautiful and even more so in purple. Peace and Blessings

I’m not a Braider so this is definitely a plus for me because I like to try different things in my hair and I’m definitely trying this look on myself this weekend. I currently have a tea so I’ll have to use some braiding hair to do the twists and rubber bands like how you did. Thanks for this video and you look fabulous by the way

Ciara Nailz: I have the small ombre Senegalese, a tad bit longer (bout 16 in) paid $17 for the whole look

Kim Ivey: I saw this same pack in the hair store the other day and wondered about it. Review right on time for me. I think I’m a month later just found your channel and so happy that I did. Keep em coming girl. You should do a tutorial on your makeup look. Purple is my fav and you rocked it!

Denise A: It came out so very cute ☺️

AK2 Naturally Divine: You made the install look so easy!

Serena Brown: Hi! GREAT idea to lay your edges first! I'm recovering from traction alopecia and am always worried about further damaging my edges... never thought to lay them first..love it! Also love the technique minus the rubberbands. I recently learned from youtuber Kim Neema, you can obtain the same effect by braiding the twist hair into the box braid. It gives a more natural look and you can still be versatile with how you style the front. Awesome video, you look gorgeous! Thanks again.
