Now remember how we talked about the dry, cutting shear watch this twist cutting running behind you need to take the length off and create a bob line. The dry cutting shears can allow you to do that. Why? Because it can get through a mass amount of hair, the way it's made watch this simply separating from front to back high pulling the crown to the top of the ear on both sides. Take the entire back section now takes courage because you're going to do it all it was and remember this takes practice. Make sure that you comb through very very neatly and detangle everything. You will start the technique if you're right-handed in your right hand, if you're left-handed you're going to start the technique. In your left hand, allow me to share with the right-handed people. First righties, please watch right hand goes in where you place. Your right hand is where the length is simply rotate to your left. Point directly to Center left hand comes directly over that no gap in between directly over that hand. The hair, to your left hand, now make sure that you comb through this, so it's nice and clean once you're there watch this dry. Cutting scissor work, take and follow your hand and cut a straight horizontal line. Look at the massive hair. It'S releasing once you start you're committed, continue to cut all the way through on this all the way through now watch what's happening here. All of this side is over directed to the left side. This side is over directed to the right side. Remember, / direction creates weight and length in the opposite direction. / direction creates weight and length in the opposite direction. Make sure to check out Chris Baron fuel for design principles of design Center goes nowhere now watch how cool this is. When I release this, you can see the center is shorter and the outsides are longer. I'Ve been able to create that Bob that is shorter in the center and longer on the outside. Now remember lefties. If you're left-handed, your left hand starts the position first, rotate to your right and your right hand will come directly over your left. So you're in this position right hand comes directly over that and it's your right hand continue to twist to the right. You are now in cutting position and you cut your horizontal line. Remember where you hold your hand, it's where the end result is. We'Ve demonstrated how the Sam via Signature Series dry, cutting shear can release a mass amount of hair small amount of time. You

Susan Kelley: I'M a hairsylist and that was a clever trick you taught me!! Perfect cut too. Thanks

Melissa Madrigal: This is great! Anyone who gave this a thumbs down must want to sit for a long time or spent minutes doing cuts... I'm sharing this with my stylist and my brother-in-law who is a stylist. Love love love it!

MUSICANDGLAMOUR: Oh my god. This guy is amazing. How have I never seen him in all my years of being a hairdresser?!! I normally just gather the hair directly to the center point but never thought of twisting to retain WEIGHT and somewhat bevel the edge at the same time. Dry cutting is what’s up

Lucia Moir: I want to thank you for your tutorial. I just cut my hair the way you suggested and I got very good results. I have very thick hair and instead of the fingers I used a clip, the flat ones that are used to seal bags. It worked because I kept it as you indicated the finger should go.

Ruth Maldonado: I love watching you, you just made my night mere go away, I have had so many problems with bobs that I stopped doing them. You just simplified my problem. I was so stuck I was not able to see past my problem   I believe I tried hard not smart. Thank you.  You are Blessed.

randeep singh: Incredible sir ! In fact many of the front line hairstylists are also doing the same to cut layers in the front part of the head seeing your technique

Linda Sue: I just saw this video a couple days ago and on a whim I tried that method on my bangs. I have never had more perfect bangs!

hannah Otwa: Fantastic technique, thank you so much teaching us .

Lizzie Sangi: Hey there Sam, I know this vid was uploaded for a minite now, so I hope you're still looking thru them. Following your directions, I twist cut my longer bob and only took about an inch off. It looks great. However, my hair is thick or there's alot of it. Being it the back of my head, I was cutting it blind, following my left handed horizontal fingerz. As said, it looks great but I, A- can't see it B- the scissors are good. Sharp hospital scissors.. they're angled, as for getting under bandages the one side is rounded with a sharp cut. It lies on top of the other blade- an angled, pyramid shaped, flat head, (so the tips can't poke anyone), but it's sharp. I can cut straight up. BUT, I can't cut straight across the hair as you do(too much of it?). I want it a little shorter and will probably do what I did, a little at a time but I can wait - hoping you've advice for not being able to cut thru the hair, straight across. Hmmm - unless a horizontal part is made and the under hair and over hair are cut separately? I know cutting the under hair a bit shorter helps the top hair to curl under. I dunno if I can do it .... that's why I comment here! Hoping you'll be reading through your vids, they're wonderful, loving how you use the mannequin and hair as demos. Thanks for all your great work, as a subscriber I'm locked in

suckfailure: Being a hair dresser, I find it unsettling that some would consider thenselves a 'pro' and not listen to what the customer really wants. If the person you're going to doesn't listen, there's no reason for you not to take your business else where. It took me a couple bad haircuts and trips to new salons before I found someone who really got it.
