TALENT | AMARIS DAVIDSON

Hi, I'm Kimberly Kimble celebrity hairstylist for Pantene. Okay, with this remix we're going to give you contemporary curls, I'm gon na create that with this flat iron first thing you want to do. Is you want to start off with hairspray sprayed the entire head first and then you want to go in start, your section at the bottom you're gon na just curl the hair, with the flatter section by section starting at the bottom, so you're gon na take a Flat ironing you're not gon na make the hair straight, but you're gon na create waves and texture with this iron. So I'm doing a nice slide. Curl creating a nice wave pattern, giving it a very interesting contemporary curl, like texture, flat iron. You just slide the curl through when you working with a flat iron and you're, creating curls. It'S all in the wrist. You got. Ta move your wrist to create the shape and the motion that you want. The more you move, your wrist, the more curve and texture. You get in your curl, sometimes you may have to go back and touch the tips up and that's okay, if you want more curl, you go back and you just hit the tips and give it a look at my curl. So when you're finished curling with the flat iron, you want to let the hair cool for about five minutes. Then you want to go in with your argan oil run it through your fingers, run it through the hair and start to create and play with the texture. So you can again the argan oil in your hands. You can do a little generous amount rub it really good through your fingers. Get it all through your fingers, because your fingers are going to be the comb you're gon na start rubbing it through the hair, see how beautiful the waves just pop in there rub it through your hair. You may have to go in with your iron and just to find a few curls here and there, but the key is it's not supposed to be a perfect curl, it's a very contemporary effortless sort of type of hair texture that you want to have with this. This is what creates that look if you want effortless hair. This is how you create it. Okay, now I'm gon na take a little bit of hairspray and spray it just so I can get it kind of rough up the texture a little bit again. I may go in and just hit some of the little pieces that are a little flyaway kind of curl bows, bring it back in the key. Is you don't want it to look too overdone, so you just want to go in and touch it up where you think you need it. Imperfection is the key. Take your fingers separate play with the hair, be a piece you want to curl make your iron just hit that little piece at the bottom. You have some unruly curls, just touch it up with a flat iron. There you have it contemporary curls, we're taking this contemporary curl and we're gon na turn it into a tassel Ching. So what you want to do is you want to get some texturising wax, because that's gon na help smooth the hair and give the hair a little more texture. Make sure you rub it really good clap. Just so, you can create a nice texture with the product and then you're gon na use it starting in the front rubbing it through the hair. This is going to create more texture for the hair, because the beautiful thing about this shenyang is to see the texture in the hair, and it's not you know perfect. It'S kind of like a messy texture which is gon na, make it even more fabulous and very easy to duplicate. This is the perfect texture to start this, look with it. It'S a little messy unconstructed leave a little height in the top pull it kind of tight on the sides and twist the hair into like a messy kind of knot and you're going to take large bobby pins, but the bobby-pins it doesn't have to be perfect. It'S just there to secure the hair, so it doesn't come apart. That'S the beauty of it, don't make it too perfect or too clean. You know if it starts to loosen up a gibbet perfect, that's what you want, so you can create more texture and more volume in the hair.
