RaDona's videos are specifically for those that are wanting to learn how to cut hair, learn new skills as a hair stylist and to be able to show your own hair stylist, the hairstyle and cut you would like.

Hi, i'm radon from boys and girls hairstyles. Today i have somebody special with me she's, my sister-in-law, um she's, absolutely gorgeous her haircut is gorgeous and i cannot wait to show you guys so um. Usually we have it shorter um. This is asymmetrical. She tucks this on this side and we have a lot of volume on this side. Um, i'm gon na teach you guys how to get a lot of volume when i style it um and teaching her obviously a couple, little tricks too um. So anyway, we will start in the back and we're gon na bring this up this much her hair grows like a weed it does. It grows. Super super fast and shelly doesn't love videos, but she's doing this for me. So, thank goodness, thank you. So much and everybody's gon na be so happy because i mean this is just like such a cute cute cute cut and it's like grown extra. I i swear this time. It'S it's grown more okay, so that's so cute! You can see how that's kind of looking a little bit more blunt there. I'M just gon na trim this a tiny bit always like to clean that up. Okay and then this side and remember make sure their head is even like they're looking forward when you cut sides just because if they are looking down, you will lift their head up and it will be shorter. So you definitely want them to be looking just straight forward. Oh so cute, okay, all right! Now what i'm going to do in this bag. She likes the layers long. So we're not going to do. You know short layers up here back here. We are going to barely take a little bit of an angle just so it's not so so blunt. You can see how it's just kind of this and then i'll i'll hold it up like this and you'll be able to see a little bit of dark underneath um because we're just barely taking that corner off. So i'm bringing this up take this off. So there's a little bit of roundedness at the bottom and you'll be able to start you'll, you're, probably being able to see it right now um, but this will help it. So it's not just so blunt in the back and so thick that it pokes out now. Shelly has a lot of hair and her hair is more of a fine texture. It'S not like a super thick texture um, but i would say her. Her hair is like absolutely perfect for this haircut. Um reason being is because if you have super fine hair um, you know you wouldn't want to keep all of this. That long, because it's going to be hard to get volume, but since she has so much of it and i'll show you guys in a little bit how to style it you'll be able to see how it works um. So you can kind of see how that see how it just takes that off a little bit and i'll show you from the side. It just starts to stack it, but it's not a huge stack. It just takes that bulk and that heaviness from the bottom. So again, just hold this out a little bit yep. We um we've been doing this haircut for just a little bit now, and i mean she has had so many compliments on it and anyway i finally talked her into doing a video on it. So i'm super excited it'll be fun, so you can see see that guide point that's the longest or shortest piece up here and i'm just taking that corner off. So we don't have that bulk see. So you can kind of see it from the side it's longer, but it's just stacked in the very back here. Okay, now, what i'm going to do is because she likes the front blunt. Okay, really blunt um, but you obviously have shorter back here and blunt here. So what i'm going to do is just bring this back and blend that just so it's not like blunt and then stacked, and it doesn't, it doesn't connect. So just you just need to do that. Little bit and you'll see after we dry like if there's anything that needs to be changed, we can okay, so now this shelly likes to tuck it. So what i'm going to do is i am going to just trim this up a tiny bit you can see. I have it on a little bit of an angle. Um. The reason being is just keep this long enough to keep it behind the ear, so it will stay um. I am going to take a tiny bit. You can see it's not much. I don't want like tons of layers here, but we don't want it so bulky. Yes, it's more fine, but she has a lot of it. So we don't want it bulky over her ear when she tucks it. I kind of leave that front piece out just to make sure that's long enough. Okay, i'm just connecting this to the back a little point cutting, so you can see when we tuck this and we poof this. This can be poofy but still be long enough to tuck. Okay, now texturizing um, obviously with she likes a ton of volume up here. So what i'm going to do is hold this up. I come up. You can see just about just over an inch and do just a little bit and i usually do a ton. So i'm not going to come in here and do a lot a lot, but she does need some umph through there now through the back i'll. Do a little bit more texture just because there's going to be a lot of hair through this area, so i did did do more back here, just because it's it's longer, so we need a lot of movement there and then, if we need to do some cutting In after then, she's used to that too, we just start tucking it and doing things and seeing what we like and yeah it's kind of funny so um my hubby. Obviously we were best friends like all growing up we just never dated, but so i knew his family. I mean i've known him since i was little little um and my sister and shelly are the same age and i remember them hanging out here and there and garrison and i would hang out little did we know we would be husband and wife later on, but It'S cool because i love their family and i always have so. It was super easy to just fall in love with the family, because i it was already done. Okay, so root lifter want lots of volume through here. Are you doing good chill? Yes, okay, great sweet! Sweet okay, then the moose oops one more squirt of a mousse and then a little bit of the reason i do this is because i'm going to flat iron this and that protects from the heat. So this is the blowout cream all right and then my favorite, the volume and lift spray. So i like to just kind of grab it back that'll, give it volume and lift also okay. So it's really important on how you blow dry, especially if you want volume. So um, obviously, with this cut in the back, we're gon na dry just down, so you can just move your fingers back and forth so back and forth. Shall we okay just down? Okay, now we're gon na start moving the hair around so about up through here? Shall we just start moving your hair around with your fingers and the blow dryer at the same time, so just kind of go back and forth like you, don't want to like go up so be careful that can happen when you're trying to do this you're not Going to realize that you're going to be doing this and your blueberry is going up, so you've got to be careful through this area because you don't want your hair standing up, but up through here. It'S okay, just bring the boat um and go up and into the side, but just be careful that you're not going up too low. Okay, just so then you're going to have stuff out of the rock um, and then this way thinking on the front we're going to go, you can already see how that is starting to lift that you go the opposite way that you want the volume. So you obviously part the other way. You know when you can drive the other way, but to get the volume on this side. How oh good question so about 80 dries, so i'm gon na have her fill this so fill that okay see how it's still i mean it's wet enough to still round brush, but it's it's dry. You do not want a round brush like sopping, wet um, so make sure it's about eighty percent dry. So yeah, that's a good question. Okay! So now same thing here, obviously right here, i'm not gon na, like i'm just gon na kind of bring this down. So we don't need like yeah, just just go down there now through this area she wants some volume, so i'm gon na turn it on low and shelly you're, just going to come up on low a little bit through this area. Okay, you don't want to come up on this because we want it to tuck nice and if you do too much, it's going to be too bulky here so just dry. This down make sure you dry the sides down, but up through this part area, which i don't mean to say parts, you don't really want to part it, but on the shorter area on this side, just kind of take your blow dryer and kind of lift that, With your hands and the blow dryer and then that root lifter will totally help that which i can show you guys. In fact, i want to show shelly really fast like what the root lifter is doing so see that root lifter. If you take it, and and do it on, you know slow mo, then just go up like so slow there, so here fast on all this other uh, just because you don't want to like get this side too out of control up here at times we're gon Na be round brushing, so it's it's not a big deal. Okay! Now i'm going to take and round brush this so shelly i would take from about here over okay um and then i'm going to round brush that right here. Yes, so you know just an inch above your ear, so um and i'm going to use this size of a round brush just for this part and then i'm going to use the big one. So this is all down this round brush this, and you can see how i'm just kind of round brushing it like this and down. Now. This next section same thing that i'm going to lift up just a little bit through this area and you can feel it shelly. It'S almost i mean it's 80 drop. Okay. Now this down here make sure it's just straight down, but right above it it's hard to try to show her too yeah. So right about this, that's when you're going to start round brushing to get the fullness okay, you round brush this! You can do it on slow mo for the you know this side and then she likes it kind of forward too. So you can just kind of dry this forward and again, like i said you just leave this on low for this side. Let it dry a little bit: let it cool after you dry that and then you can just tuck this so shelly, i'm going to show you that part so see! I i just round brush this, so it gives it that that, right, here, okay, um and now up through this area, we're going to use the big brush we're going to come straight up with it. Then i'm gon na, let it cool for a second and you can see how much volume okay now same same here, i'm just going to like this. I'M not going up, i'm just coming! I'M just round brushing it and letting it drop, let it cool and shelly. That'S really important too, when you, when you round brush, if you let it sit and cool for a second that that really helps hold it into place. Okay, so up here on the top more you're going to want to hold up on your uh drying with the round brush same thing right here, go up hold it! Let it out! Okay, now thinking up top shelly, i would turn it to a low setting and to get the volume that you want up top here. Just come straight up. I love it. Shelley loves the proof like me, so i just love it when we do it. Okay, now, like i said she likes the straight blunt, look so just bring oh, i guess it helps to turn it on. So we're going to let it sink to us in just a second. As soon as it makes a noise it'll be hot. Okay, there we go. This will just show off the blunt ness of her haircut and then on this side. I'M just gon na bring this down, which is going to be tucked but notice. How i just i left all of this and you can, if you want to bring this and just straighten out a tiny bit, but you can see all the body that that has, and now it's not bulky down here with the one length it's just barely stacked Here, just a little bit: okay, now i'm going to take my backcomb, i'm going to hold this up tight and in down and out, and you can see the base there. So i don't go straight up and down. You want to do a c shape. Shelly kind of like in down and out okay that will help, and then i always like to spray that base okay and then after i do that, and i like to just bring it back down here. So cute, okay and now up here same thing in down and out - and you can see it doesn't have to be like big like this. It'S just a little movement and the more you do it um the better off you'll be now. If you don't have um a pin comb or a while, lock comb with three layers, i would suggest if you have a comb, use the one with the little tiny teeth together. Okay use that to do this, okay and down and out, and then one more under here just a little bit. It already looks better shorter right here. It had grown out so much when she walked in i'm, like, oh, my goodness, like your hair's grown out. What the it grew fast this time it did really fast. So you see it's like i'm, not combing out the backcombing part of it that's staying in, but i'm smoothing it out. Okay, again, i'm going to need to put her back to the mirror. So i can see what i've got going here. Yeah. Is that good, yeah? Okay? Is that about right? Is that what you're? Okay? So i'm gon na spray, this yeah, she says i'll, just come over here every morning! That'S fine! Why not that's right! Okay! So that's what she likes. She likes the bigger around here, um and just the long in the front anyway, that is darling. So cute, okay, now i'm going to finish it off with the gloss spray shine it up and you guys can see how cute that is and then oh, it's cute. I love it. Okay, awesome! Thank you! So much. I know she's not comfy, but she's awesome. So you guys thanks so so much for everything um. I hope you enjoyed it. It'S one of my favorite haircuts. Um. Hope you liked it talk to you next time see ya! You
