Hey guys today, I showed you how I give myself a blowout and I have grown to love. Doing this. I used to just use my vintage brush to dry my hair, and then I go in with a straightener to get all the frizz away and all that. But I finally made myself sit down and practice with the round brush and try to figure it out. And I really feel like I have figured something out that works for me. I know that it's, maybe not the most professional way to do things. I don't know this is just how I do it, so I'm sharing it with you guys. I'Ve had requests for this. So I'm going to do this, I have to say that I think it is worth the extra time it takes to give yourself a blowout. I don't wash my hair, but once or twice a week. So for me, it's definitely worth the time, because when I do wash my hair, I immediately style it this way and then I don't have to use the hair straightener afterwards. My hair is so smooth and sleek and I feel like, even though a round brush, especially a metal one and a hair dryer, is heating up your hair. A lot I just feel like it's, probably not quite as damaging as a flat iron. So I feel great about using this technique on my hair, and I only have to do it like I said once or twice a week and I'm good to go so the products that I use today is this round brush. I think this is like a medium sized round brush, I'm not sure it doesn't say a size on here, but this is from Hot Tools. I do prefer round brushes that have plastic bristles as well as these sort of boar bristle. Looking thingies, I don't know for sure if these are actual boar, bristles or if they are synthetic plastic, but either way, I think it does help to smooth the hair, and, as I mentioned, this is a metal round brush I've not tried using just a plastic one. So I don't know what difference that might make for me. In my mind, I chose a metal one because that heats up and I'm styling it this way so that I hopefully don't have to use a flatiron. So I feel like this getting heated up also with the hairdryer, might help to kind of really smooth everything out. So that's what I'm using for this! You can use varying sizes of a round brush. I probably should be doing that since I do have some different links happening in my hair, but I find that I'm making this work fine. So I'm just sticking with that. Then I used my dry texture spray. My Bed Head masterpiece, massive shine hairspray. This is super stronghold and I like it, and then I used this argan oil weightless dry oil to finish everything off. So I hope you enjoy make sure that if you want to see a full list of all the products that I used, you can click in the description bar a link to my blog and you can go there to see that so I hope you enjoy. Let me know what you want to see next and yeah. If you want to see this keep alright. The first thing I want to do is put in my it's a 10 leave-in conditioners hope this is, let's pray that in all this stuff, I should have brought a towel. This feels all goopy like it's leaking or something. Okay. Now I'm going to use this tresemmé beauty-full volume and I'm just gon na focus this on the roots. I hope this works. Okay, my roots are a little bit dry because I just did my makeup and then tried to re wet my hair and it's kind of hard to get the roots all wet again and putting this on dry hair. I find it's not my favorite thing to do, but it's okay, so you can see. I do use quite a bit if you saw my favorite hair products video then I talked about how I like to use a generous amount of this products and then I feel like if I don't use enough, then it just doesn't give me the same volume that I love so now. What I'm going to do is just brush my hair into place where I wanted and before I grab my round brush and start doing any of that I just want to do a quick, nonsensical blow-dry on my hair. If you go in with your round brush right away when your hair is this wet, you are creating a lot of extra work for yourself and I feel like that's something that a like a mistake that I always made in the past. I thought I had to start out with the round brush and it just seemed to take absolutely forever, but that's because it does take forever. If you do it like that, you don't have to do it like that. I would not recommend doing it that way. So get it pretty dry just to start out with. So that's what I'm going to do and I'll be right back to explain what I'm going to do after that. Okay, I'm back! You can see that my hair is a bit dry, a bit more dry than it was before it's not totally dry. It'S still damp enough that I can manipulate it. The way I want to with the round brush. So, whenever I use the round brush, I always start on this side of my head through the back and then do this section last. I don't know why I do it that way. It'S just what I do. I know that some people like to do kind of their bangs first, because those can be challenging to kind of get to do what you want for me. I don't know, I just do it last, so I'm not perfect at this. I honestly don't really know what I'm doing like I'm, not a professional. I haven't talked to a professional about this, so this is just what I do if you are a professional and you have any tips for me and everybody else, let us know, but you're just going to see me working my way through this as I do so. I like to section it off for me when I use the round brush, you will find especially I get to the back section. You'Ll find me stopping placing the hair on the brush and then going on with the hairdryer. I can't just like pick it up and go some people can do that. It doesn't work for me, so something that I do to try to get some volume in my hair is. I will take it and lift it up and try to get the heat in and I'll even put some heat in from this direction. So you're going to see me doing things like that as well, so I'm just going to get started you, okay, I just want to quickly point something out, and that is what you do on the tip of your hair makes a big difference. What you do with this brush, if you continue to really roll it towards the bottom, like this with the dryer, it's going to curl it under more these pieces around my face, I don't want curled as much, because I want them to look longer. So I kind of pull it out straight. You see, I'm not spinning the brush, I'm just gliding it down the hair and as I'm pulling it through the hair, I keep spinning and that just helps to smooth everything out. So I just want to point out that that is something that I'm doing with this you, you saw there all my bangs that I took this front section in the brush and went back this way. That, for me, is the only way to do my bangs. If I don't blow dry them that way, they fall in my face all day, and I don't like that and plus, I think, don't have a ton of bangs happening here, but the little that I do. I just think it looks pretty too sort of swoop them over like that. Okay, my hair today is a little bit more staticky than normal. That'S fine though, but you can see how smooth and sleek everything looks. I don't feel like. I need the hair straightener for anything, so what I like to do now is - and I know if this have anything to do with why my hair staticky, but I feel like it's not as volumize as it normally gets. So I feel like that probably does have something to do with the static, because normally when my hair is super soft and fine, it gets staticky more easily. So that's right, though, I'm going to take my dry texture spray from not your mother's and start getting this in those roots. The nice thing about this particular hairstyle that I have is that the back is stacked in such a way that it naturally gets a good amount of volume without much effort. Something else you can do to get extra volume is put velcro rollers at the root. I have velcro rollers, but maybe one day I will do a video showing you how I use those I use those more for kind of second day hair to revive some volume. So I don't normally use those now when I'm doing a very fresh blow out, but with my hair, a staticky and limp as it is today, it might not be a bad idea, but that's okay. I don't like sitting around in those for a few more minutes. Okay, now it is time for some hairspray, which I definitely need today with this static that I'm having I've said this before, but I really like to kind of style my hair, as I'm spraying it in place, it's my preference. I just think it helps you to make sure you're really setting it in place. The way you like it, especially because the hairspray I use is such strong hold, I'm going to finish it off with this argan oil healing healing dry oil. This is nice and moisturizing. It'S also a shine spray, so I like that. Okay, really quick, because I always get requests for this and I forget to show it I'm going to show you all sides of my hair and that way you can see what that looks like alright guys. This is how I get this very sleek blown out. Look, I hope you enjoyed. If you have any questions about anything I did or used, or any suggestions on things that I can do better on blowed blowing out my own hair. Let me know in the comments below, and I will see you my next video bye

haarminnaar TV: You just rock that bob!! I would love to share it on my hairstyle blog and youtube channel. Can I please? You can count on me to give you all the credit and of course to link back to you ;-)

Megan Robinson: This is stunning! and very helpful. Thank you!

regalianpeaches1: Thanks, great vid! I too had a really difficult time at first with the round brush, and was blow drying my bob with a comb (which works although takes longer), but with practice comes perfection and I am well on my way to that! hehe! One tip I learnt and works for me: I find that starting out with a smaller round brush is easier to learn to manipulate than the larger round one. Ya just have to be careful not to turn it too much otherwise hair gets tangled

SouthernMel: That looks so good! I may have to try doing it this way

Brooke Maycunich: Thank you for this video!! We have the exact same hair and I've been looking forever for a channel...I use Velcro rollers every blowout for volume and smoothing. I would really appreciate a "second day hair" video. I can't get rollers to do anything for me on the 2nd day. Great job!

Viva Fusions: Yes thank you it looks gorgeous - need to check out that texturising spray. xoxo

sunsun2000able: Your eye makeup looks amazing in this video!

Morgan Aldredge: I love this! You are rocking the short hair!

bev brennbe: Thanks Amanda. Great tips as always. P.S, love that top!!!

Barbara Bivens: Yes, you are correct about never pulling on your hair when it is wet. Hair is the most vulnerable to pulling and damage when still wet. Always dry hair some before start styling.

margaret Stevens: I found your video on blowout for bob hairstyle and loved it.  I have a similar cut as shown on your video and want to be able to blowout my hair in the same way without having to use a flat iron every time.  You mentioned to go to your blog to find out the products that you used in detail, but I couldn't find the description bar on your blog.  I would really like to buy the products you used for the smooth style created using the round brush, so that I can try your method of blow dry.

Courtney Taylor: I love it! I am such a short hair girl! But I'm trying so hard grow out my hair for my wedding but this makes me want to chop it all off and just rock short wedding hair!! Very pretty!

Snowy Marshmallow: I'm lucky to find this video, because you were so descriptive on how to use the brush roller. This video would be great for newbies who have never used one before, like me. Thank you so much! You saved me a lot of time and frustration trying to figure out how to use the brush properly.

Lisa: I have fine hair too, but my hair doesn't frizz. You need to add a heat protect product to your hair before you blow dry it will help, and when your done with blow drying you want to put your oil in then burst your hair with cold from your dyer. It helps my fine hair! I love your products! I will have to try those :)

Suzanne McColl: Gorgeous! need to try the texturising spray for root lift x

Lacresia’sLife: your hair looks so good this way.

Lisa Tatarelli: I love that texture spray. That and the sea salt spray is my go to

Doll Red: You rock this cut and color.

T: Your hair is beautiful. I am must older but always got perms until I got sick and was not able to get to the hairdresser and realized I have a lot of wave in my hair. Mine is a very short bob now because I do not feel like messing with it. My hair is finer but it looks much thicker when I blow it out probably because of the natural wave giving it body. I use Redkin Guts but try not to get it on my scalp because of having scalp issues which seems to be seborrheic dermatitis. The specialist never figured it out so I started using essential oils and it has improved greatly. I also order all natural shampoo. Thanks for the demonstration. You did a great job.

Niecy D: I know this is an old video but I LOVE your hair & makeup!!

regalianpeaches1: Love your hair and makeup btw!!

Bianca Rodriguez: I love it gorgeous and that color is so pretty the cut im mean the bomb...

Mary Green: Love your style girlfriend beautiful work

Doll Red: Thanks honey. I am a stylist. I do it myself.

Paula H: love it

Oh_ Hello: Love your makeup.

Vanity Rose: I just dry my hair by turning my head upside down while in front of my large fan, it dries fast, i don't use heat, and if your lazy just lay on your bed on your stomach with your head over the edge and the fan right in front of you and voila!! Your done without actual work!

Cees Lindelauf: super nice hair and makeup.

MissyA: What I do to get more volume to my hair after I blow dry I spray it with hair spray and I hang my head upside down for about 30 seconds and slowly come up and take your fingers to fluff ..dont shale your head when you hang your head upside down.. have you tryed that?

Cheryl B: Love your videos would be helpful if you listed the products you use......just a thought.

Dauphy G: You are simply Beautiful, with your hair and your Black top !!! again beautiful woman

Denise Konopka: May I ask what products you used?

محمد يوسف: Very Great

Jill Elliott: lovely

Judy Bunnell: For whatever reason I can't get the hang of using a flat iron. I burn myself and my hair just slips right out of the iron. My hair style is like yours but the layers are much shorter. I have a round brush similar to yours but I don't achieve the same effect as you. Call me frustrated.

elizabeth CALDERO: I just got a new hair cut, in the style of a bob.. I need to add volume to it.. Please send me any recommendations in product..

Laura S.: I have hair a little longer than yours and blow dry it with a round brush. I have a hard time managing it, and I think it's because I have taken off the end attachment/nozzle thing. Have you tried to blow out your hair without the attachment?

Jeannine Marie: How do you sleep on your hair?

Cherry Pink: Very beautiful hair and your makeup is done so well. Love your eyes. Just a suggestion...I think you would look cool with a little more lift and volume at the top crown of your head....Just a little more poof up top. Thank you for video and product suggestions.

Tracey Parker: The fast motion killed it for me. Hard to see what you are doing.
