So Cain and I've just arrived in the Maldives and unfortunately it is super rainy outside it's like a kind of tropical thunderstorm going on. So what we're doing is we're going to do a bit of shooting around in this beautiful villa that we're staying in and while I'm getting ready, I thought I would show you guys how I do my hair, because you may have noticed. I cut it so now. It'S short, and I have a bit of a lot going on, and I've had a lot of requests from people asking how I actually style it, because I think the key to styling a lob is making it really gritty and textured and actually pretty huge. In terms of volume, so I'm going to show you guys how I do so. I have just freshly washed, my hair, it's still like quite dad, it's been drying a little bit while I did my makeup, but what I want to do, while it's still damp or wet, is start with this Schwarzkopf body and texture styling primer, I'm just going to Grab a little bit of that on the palm of my hand, smoosh it together and kind of massage in sign, underneath and on the roots, creating a little bit of texture and resistance in the roots of the hair. Next, I'm going to use some mousse, I'm going to go with Schwarzkopf push-up volume. Mousse see some sort of egg size shape for my leg. Hair stand up so pretty much. I'M smashing that fall through the roots of the hair and bringing it out to the ends, and I like to like mister products, kind of massage the scalp a little bit so that you almost already start creating volume on the roots. Then I'm going to blow-dry it all upside down and - and that was something a little bit like that - not particularly style, but your style already get some volume through that. Now the key to this hairstyle really is volume. So I'm going to start. Oh, I need a one sec, so you need to clip like this and I'm actually going to climb. If you like, a mushroom akin to my hair, it's going to divide the lower third and keep that out and clip the top it away now weave a round hair brush like this, I'm going to create even more volume in the roof there, and this is how Just wrap a piece around there. This is really hard to do with long hair, but with short hair, it's a lot easier and then grab your blow-dryer and just below ground. To that all the way around see how that really mushrooms out, like that, that's exactly what you're going for it will not look like this. Is it and that's level one done now, I'm going to do the same thing to little two and then level three below I mean this Kratts level, two down same thing, please, the top. I go for a bit of a middle path, but it can be super rough, so you can just kind of divvy it up, lay with you nail and drop that down, so you should end up with something a little bit like this. Now don't worry about being too perfect with it you're really not trying to achieve. You know the perfect blow-dryer. All you want to do is get a little bit of lift into those roots, because we're actually gon na run a color through it. So what you're going to need is this 19 mil curling iron? Now I know why, but I love this curling iron. I just feel like it create curls that last longer, rather than there's being big wavy ones, and I used to use this very differently back when I had long hair. I did everything in the same direction, but now I don't want to do that because I don't want the curls to be able to brush out and kind of all flow into the same direction, because it's going to look very like steps and y'see with this link. There, so what I want to do is the following: again divide it into the three part that you had earlier, so I'm going to take the bottom layer, put the rest away and really what you want to do is not curl it properly here, but basically put A kink into your hair, so I'm going to start off with that and I'm really only going to wrap it around like one and a half times and just see how at the end it, I have a little bit that I'm not perfectly curling. So I don't want this to be a perfect, perfect curl. I want this to kind of fall out and just be a bit of a kink in the hair, so I'm holding that little couple of centimeters at the end out and now it is short hair. You literally only have to do it for like four or five seconds and it stays so somewhat quicker. I used after walk for 20. Second, that was the end. The arm training I ever did okay, so I've done one towards the back and then this next one. I'M going to curl towards the front so that they're at odds with each other, which means they'll. Never you know, come into the same curl. So this one ah so same thing just a bit of a kink and holding the end out there like that, and then I'm basically going to alternate some front to the back through my whole hair and see how that's like. If, if you're trying to achieve a perfect calorie but sure about that one, but that's perfect, that's all you need to do because I do want to be kind of flicky and like rough and ready at the end. Now. The only thing that I suggest is that your front curls are the going to the back, so you drop one kind of going into the face. You will move like the back and the rest really doesn't matter. I just like to feel it out all right, so that is done now very important. Do not under any circumstances brush this out. You really want those curls to stay there, so I just let them cool down for a little minute and then the trick of this hairstyle is one of these volume boosting powders and spray. So I'm currently using the petite stylist, all my locs double XL volume spray. So you use this sparingly because it makes your hair kind of sticky and gritty and weird - and I hated it with my long hair to be quite honest because it always just felt really dirty. But with this, it's exactly what you need to create that volume to make it just stick out, I'm going to put this into the roof just a little bit. I mean a fair bit, but don't go too nuts and don't really see it into the end. If you can avoid now, as I said, you do not want to brush these curls out, what you do want to do is flip them over and with your hand like roughly massage your scalp and kind of create a little bit of a teasing light. You don't want to tease this because eventually, that is going to look really like, not so great the tazewell's a little more because yourself, but you do want that friction and that aggressive roots of your hair. So I'm literally going to flip it, and just do this without breaking the curls too much right now, it's starting to look really huge awesome, then little circular motions and literally just sliding the root, and that's pretty much as I'm going for now to hold this. I'M going to flip it spray it with a hairspray, that's not true to stronghold. So this is the JD style. Final fix hairspray. So I want one: that's not too stronghold, but more malleable so that your locks, don't kind of you - know stage like a crazy scarecrow, but have a bit of balance to that. So now, have you guys enjoyed this tutorial, it's so much quickie to do them. Long hair and I'm absolutely loving this style, it's really really fun.
