Hello and welcome to a new video this week, I am recreating one of our most popular videos in it I cut my camera to a short fall. I'Ve been cutting my hair of my own for like three or four years now, and I still think the original video was really good, but I have had a few tweaks to my technique that make it a little bit easier to do so. To do this, you are going to need some scissors, preferably to marys one. You can look at from the front and Henry, so you can check the back of your hand, and I also have a sheet that catches all the hair in it individually coming off. So, let's get back into it, I'm just going to grab my straightener and straighten all of it. I specially bought some hair cutting. This is the first time because lots of people in my previous video complained that my scissors were too small. So you can't, you know they were really small, but let's see if these a bit so now, with my hand, how embarrassed I'm gon na use it to angle metamer over there and check what it looks like at the back. The list there's one little little bit that whatever trim now can I cut upwards and like a little cutting motion just to smooth out the edge of it. So it's not simple and I'm going to do this open my bend, but I feel, like I've got that kind of even and just kid trimming a little bit until it looks kind of straight. I'M going to tie it up and then straighten the section above because I find that easy in a straight in the section above when it's like that, if I'm you don't want layer and there's already so much hair, just like down my taste and um. This is definitely a misty purchase, doing it yourself with pallet kingston, none of its sitting straight, i'm gon na take out the bottom land, because then i'm going to use it as a kind of guide for how long to trip the rest of it. This jacket is also useful. If it's a little bit too long, you can kind of keep doing the upwards motion until it's a little bit. It might be a little bit like lopsided this way, but I think we'll fix that up after I've got this last little bit done after doing all my hair with these scissors, they definitely make it it's a lot faster than the nail scissors I had last time. I look like I have such a hairy chest. It'S really! Okay, so just gave my hair a bit of the like thing and this bits flipped around, so that my handy hint, because sometimes your pocket just doesn't stay in the same place, especially since I've got a little bit of a cowlick. Can'T so just check that. It'S not ridiculously long go like this, underneath it kind of gets weighted down with a new hand I get put on top, so I often have to trim it sort of let's begin thanks finish off, I'm just going to curl it a little bit with the straightener. Quite like doing that, giving a bit of wave and stuff I do team to just curl the top line, just because otherwise it looks a little bit triangular and I definitely find a hair. Straightener is the easiest way to curl it when it's this short, it's a little bit hard to put it around the barrel of an actual curler clean up. I'M just gon na put all of this on the shape. That'S just underneath me flannel and white. It'S all in my breath, yeah. I hope you enjoyed the video or found it helpful. If you did, please give it a thumbs up if you're new to our channel. Please subscribe, I'm sure you'll. Like some more about videos. We will sue through fashion, videos, travel, videos, vlogs and other beauty, videos as well and into the next video

Nele: anyone else watching this while having a mental breakdown and is about to impulsively cutting hair?

Ellie P: I can’t believe I haven’t done this before! Last year I paid $110aud for a blunt bob in a salon - mainly because my hair is thick and it took the hair dresser longer to cut my hair ‍♀️ I’ve just done cutting my own hair this morning after watching your video, thank you! It’s super easy and saved me money!

Moneven: Day 10 of quarantine and I DID IT! First time cutting my own hair! I feel so happy and light, the bob actually turned out pretty good. And I used small scissors featured in your previous video hahaha.

Audrey Dickinson: Yes girl you look so good with a bob. I love cutting my hair at home it’s so much easier. Thanks for the tips!

Ellen Berry: Googling how to cut my own hair on day 2 of my COVID-19 quarantine. I’d say I’m coping well.

Terry Mintle: Been cutting my own hair for a while now, partly because I'm on a tight budget, and also the fact that the hairdresser almost always never cut it the way I ask.

Kathryn Hall: This is the best video I’ve found. I’m in lockdown & I feel one of the only things I can control is my hair so I want to chop it off! Honestly one of the best bits was the super quick curl at the end. Thank you for such a quick informative video

Teagan Kathleen: THAT SNEEZE TRANSITION WAS THE CUTEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN

L B: Tara, thanks for revisiting this video. I like both, but have used your original one so much, I prefer it. A little tip to cut down on getting covered in hair... powder down any bare skin on your neck, shoulders, back, chest, and even your arms. It will prevent the hair from sticking to your skin and make what does stick easier to brush off. Hope this helps. Your haircut is adorable! ~ Lisa

Mae Barron: I cut my own hair about once a year (and go to the salon once or twice), but I've been growing it out a bit so I wasn't planning on doing it again anytime soon. But your hair looks so gorgeous in this that I just lopped a couple of inches off and gave myself a bob again! No regrets haha

Michelle R: I watched this and did it! I had an angled lob but I saw someone with a similar hair type to me with a shorter angled bob and I immidiately changed my mind and wanted a regular bob. I'm so happy with the result! I was nervous the whole time and took frequent stops esp since I actually had no handheld mirror I was just kind of feeling away at the back. (It turned out okay). I hope you guys get the courage to cut your hair if you really want to!

Anna Novokreshenova: Thank you for such an inspiring tutorial! I tried xD It came out looking pretty weird, but I've had so much fun in the process that it doesn't matter. Will definitely try again!

Rosanne Chandler: I loved your video and the haircut. You did it so quickly and by sight, which is just amazing to me. That style is almost exactly what I'd been paying $75+ for the last 10 years at a salon with the same stylist I've been going to for nearly 30 years. Due to several very bad/sad circumstances, it's been 2.5 years since I've been able to afford anything that isn't absolutely essential, including a decent haircut. So my thin/fine hair has grown almost to my waist, looks awful with split ends all over, and an uncomfortable ponytail or braid is about all I can manage. So I've watched a lot of the "cut your own hair videos" thinking that's what I've got to do. Yours is by far the very best I've seen and the style and your method is exactly what I want to do. So I'll have to buy nice sharp hair cutting scissors; an essential purchase if I'm going to make cutting my own hair a regular thing from now on. I've seen them from $6 up to $500! Of course I'll be looking for some closer to the low end. And I've wanted a flat iron for years, but even at Walmart it's $50 for a short "generic" brand. So when you replied to the person inquiring what flat iron you were using, ghd platinum, I looked it up and it's $250 direct from ghd and others are much more expensive! Even used ghd platinum flat irons are being sold online at Amazon, Poshmark and other places for $200 or more! So what's a poor girl to do? Can you recommend any other decent flat iron that's under $50, won't burn off my hair and will last a couple of years? Sorry this is so long! But I've subscribed to your channel and will be enjoying watching all of your other videos! P. S. A 13 gallon thin kitchen garbage bag or a small plastic table cloth from the dollar store with a hole cut out in the center to get your head through will keep the hair you cut off from sticking to your body and your clothes. No more bra hair :)! And another cheap table cloth for the floor to stand on will catch all the falling hair for easy clean up.

Shoug Arifi: Am I the only one who is scared to cut their hair at a salon ?

Missy Nyanko: I cut my own hair today with your video playing! I was so nervous and I basically had the same hair length like yours before cutting it but thanks I look fab with shorter hair now! stay safe and well

CharliMarieTV: Love when I search for a tutorial and the first result is by a friend trying to trim my bob today!

Robin Holbrook: I’ve been cutting my hair at home during the plague. Hardest part is first snip! since I can’t go out (compromised lungs) even a bad cut wouldn’t be awful! But they are coming out great! I leave the part in front of my ears 1” longer than the rest. That way the part can be on either side or the middle. Works out great! I don’t angle it. It is just a drop one inch longer. Period. Oh! I also use use 2 rubber bands on each piece of hair. That way when I cut the pieces stay together. Less mess on initial cuts.

Franken Storm: Ahhh thanks so much! I’m getting up the nerve to go from hair down to my butt to a cute bob like that! I’ve always cut my own hair, but never this much at once!! Wish me luck

Heather Feather: Bout to give myself a quarantine cut. LOOK OUT WORLD HERE WE GO!

Cat Portraits and Caricatures: Great demo. I have been cutting my own hair since January 2020 to avoid visiting hair dressers. So far so good. I don't have a straightener.

Heather H.: You've inspired me to cut my own hair. Up until watching your video I've believed it was next to possible. Paralyzed with fear actually. I do want to see how you cut the back. I'm feeling ready. Thank you for the inspiration

Rachel Morgan: I just used this video and it was so helpful! Never cut my hair before but this made it easy

VidaLife 11: Okay everyone, after watching multiple videos on how to cut my own hair I think I'm ready for the feat! Wish me luck ya'll....it's either going to look amazing or it's going to look like shit....this coronavirus is wreaking havoc on my beauty regime :( Be safe and blessed.

Tula Floyd: A year ago I watched your old video with this small scissors, I had a long hair but that day I was super sad and I decided that I need a change... So I just grab my own scissors and I cut it! Now I don't want to go back to long hair, still use your technic and it's great! Thank you! Oh and sorry for my english ;(

Lynny: You just inspired me to do this myself!! Thank you!

Dee F: Thank you, saw your old video. This is a great update. Like Terry below, I'm on a tight budget, and the hairdresser never does my hair the way I ask. The last one cut my fringe in an arc! It looked like a toddler cut my hair. And there's always long bits around my ears. I can do it better with your help now!

nadienaddone: used this tutorial as a guide except I did the back using my back turned to the wall mirror holding a hand mirror infront of me to see the back of my head, it turned out awesome, i found doing it in layers especially useful. thanks for the tutorial!

Krista Greenwalt: I can't wait to try this, thank you for making this video!

Faatimah Abrahams: Tried this method today! My brother did the cutting and it looks amazing. I didn’t do the upward cutting tho, I prefer not to. But I recommend!

Helen: Thank you for this great video! Here goes..... Corona lockdown in UK & a few weeks ago I simply didn't have time to leave my business while preparing for isolation & make a hair appointment. Looking forward to a chop, but are going to be uber uber cautious while I learn the techniques. 1" at a time Stay safe everyone. Stay well & support each other we can get through this xxxxxxx's

lain *: if you're reading this, this is a sign: cut your hair . it grows back. also he doesn't like you . cut your hair

FoxTheChicken: I never considered cutting my own hair but I think I'm gonna try it! Thanks for the tips!

ether4211: I wish I found this last year, just tried it with little hope to fix a desperation haircut done at the height of the COVID lockdowns and wow... it really wasn't hard at all. I always made a habit to get a blunt bob a few times a year to cut off all the excess hair when it was driving me nuts and have been waiting months for covid lockdowns/my favourite hairdresser to be available. six months of frustration solved in a couple of hours in front of the mirror. Now I won't need to wait ever again :)

Laura G: Wow that looks great! Love your bob x

𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐞: This is going to help me so much thank you <3

Anna B: Very clever ! Looks great

Ryanavery Ash: Wow! You did a really great job

Alex Holmes: Love the video and your haircut Tara. The bob suits you.

MJ Tabuyo: I did it!!! And I like it Im so happy I found your video.

Puppy Feet: Just tried this on myself. Not too bad, though I think I’d rather pay the extra $15-20 just to get it done next time. I did okay, but the back is a little botched to the point where I’m a little anxious about it. It’ll do for now, but the extra time, effort, and clean up afterwards wasn’t really worth the mediocre end result for me. I will say it was an exhilarating experience though and fun to try. It’s certainly something I’d like to do again if I’m ever in a pinch!

Anon Ymous: I just cut my hair and I love itttt!!!

Rachel Rigdon: Great video! Cutting your own hair is a little nerve wracking at first, but it's the best! Especially right now. Also, why am I getting itchy all of a sudden?! XD

mich blue: Nice video. Really think the soft bob suits you very well. So lovely are you. Please ignore the few negative comments you got. I feel like some people just enjoy being negative. Its your hair. You are quite fetching and seem very nice. Going to subscribe.

Nataliya Hare: Pretty much what my hairdresser does haha for 75$ just another good tip to make it more choppy and less triangular when straight and take some weight off is to clip the top layer away and chip into next layer. She sort of takes she section be section and runs scissors from top down taking some weight off

l3abyx3: IM GONNA DO IT!!!! and i love how u easily styled your hair at the end!!

Clueless Kanna: I did this because I usually have my hair short but it was getting quite long (it reached till like mid chest) so I cut it and it looks amazing but i know my family is going to flip out and I don’t know how to hide it from school because my length is too short for buns

melisa getta: Thank you the video is so helpful

Minda Kahn: I did it!! And, it looks really pretty good. I’m glad that my hair waves and curls. Hides any sins. G bless you. (Sneeze)

Liz Lemon: You're so adorable <3 I'm trying this technique tomorrow, been wanting to cut my hair for ages. Wish me luck :P

Josmitha Koova: A year ago i asked my mom to crop my hair (cz she's the one who always does my hair) she denied , i kept asking for a whole week and she still didn't budge... So i watched ur old video (the one with the small scissors) about 10 times and then decided to chop it off myslf.... It didn't turn out pretty good because it was my first time but I was soo happy at how it turned out to be. I got in soo much trouble with my mom but it was all worth it! Gonna do it again

Luciana Love: ADVICE: I would wear a sweater so when I'm done I cun unzip it and carefully take it off so there's not so much hair on me. ‍♀️ BTW your hair is so beautiful love the cut!

Nigma Subhani: Hey, did you keep the inner most section of your back hair a teensy bit longer than the overall length? It looks like that and also, I had a blunt bob haircut a few days ago. The salon ppl kept my ones a tad bit longer.

djlovell13: going to cut the wife's hair tomorrow and this great video is my guide

Rumeysa Akman: I loved your new hair style

Angela Erickson: thanks this was very helpful for me :)

Kathy's Wanderlust Diaries: Great tip! Thanks!

A 003: I've gone to the hair salon twice these past week to get it shorter and shorter because I was scared to go too short all at once and then now I'm like I want it just a tiny bit shorter, but I dont want to waste money a third time so I'm just gonna say screw it and try it myself. My hair is naturally curly so if its uneven it wont be that noticeable hopefully

Venus T.: I saw this video a while ago, I only cut my own hair this way since then!

l e s l i e: I’m tired of overcharging trims at the salon like c’mon the last time was $12 for a small trim?!? Might as well do it for free lol

T Glenn: Looks great!

Karan Field: That looks lovely

Anne Reed: coronavirus brought me here and, by an extension, you gave me the best haircut I have ever had and given me at least one (1) good day during this nonsense so thank you

Iamtabolo: So I just decided to cut my hair in the middle of the night and I was super happy with the length but it was choppy so I wanted to clean it up but then I found this video and now they are super short and idk how to feel about it. I feel like it could really grow on me though

Lotta Hidestål: It´s looking great! I wish you would have shown how you did it in the back though, that seems like the trickiest part.

Meeiko: Thank you Your video made brave enough to trim my own hair. I feel great thank 's again

Sneha Riaz: this is something looks so natural

Ganychan: I've done it and I'm so happy!

Alys Samala: Searching how to tutorial like this, i click this,im not able to go to barber shop to cut my hair because of covid-19. So thank you for this great tutorial

malihaaa: i literally did this and i love it dude

Rosemarie Lovegrove: Love your tutorial. I'm struggling to decide what scissors to buy. What are you using? Any tips?

Lovemoriel: Like for your smile! You are so cute! Лайк за улыбку и позитив!

Clarellen: Great work!

Tsuma Kelso: I use baby powder to remove all the little hair bits off your skin. It works better than getting in the shower, honestly.

she daydream: I want to try this

XR Sera: Uhh I'm very tempted to cut my own hair, and my mom had also finally allow me to cut my hair by myself (sometimes she'd cut it and it'll turn out uneven) Definitely nervous

ponnalasunny: Wow beautiful haircut looking fabulous

Lucia Montes: Looks great, Tara!

Lu Lu: Going from my own experience doing it this way will leave it looking VERY dodgy from the back. Remember when you go to the salon hairdressers ask you to tilt your head forward when they cut the first bit at the back? It's to stop you getting the dodgy bit where if you cut it at the same level and tilt forward you will see the hair underneath and it just does not look good at all. I am going to get someone to help me with the back as I just don't think there's any way anyone can do it well themselves but it is still worth it, hair will grow back just do it and have fun!

Moldy Moldy: I really want short hair I actually asked my mother if I could get a haircut for the past 3 years and she's said yes but she gets my hair the way that she wants and the shortest it's ever been has been to shoulders I'm literally contemplating just grabbing scissors and cutting it all of

Anonymous: i gave my mom a fair warning that the day after the wedding we have to go to i might just cut and shave my own hair. she said a very pissed off, "no," but imma do it anyway

Hey It's Dom!: I've never cut my own hair, it scares me! :)

Bareng Fatwee: Thanx for the turorial. Ive been cutting my own hair. And i want to be better at it. I kinda miss my long hair though.

Peanut Butter Baby: Currently in quarentine and school is cancelled for the rest of the year... Should I go for it? I usually cut my own bangs even if they look bad, I always brush it off because it grows back. I have done a lot of drastic cuts but have never cut my entire hair by myself. Should I just go for it? I mean, I can just go to the salon after lockdown anyway.

keith wright: i want to cut my hair, but your doing a great job

Ines Illgen: It’s November 21, 2020, last haircut was in March. Im 73 with thin gray hair, a HUGE cowlick, stuck in a nursing home, no opportunity to leave except doc visits never mind get a haircut and I’m desperate. The summer I turned 16 the girl I worked with cut her own hair and showed me how. I did it a few times back then and will try again even though my hands, fingers and arms are in sad shape (the old gray mare...etc). Well, it DOES grow back...

Midoriria: I cut my hair after following this and my hair is so messed up. I cried for 3 hours yesterday. Unlike most people rn I still have work and my stomach hurts going into work now.

mae: ughhggh Im really impulsive when it comes to my hair. Right now its collarbone length & I want to just cut it up to my ears right now, but Im holding myself back lol.

forestsprite: I watched this video because I need to see how to cut the back of your own hair. Thats where Im stumped . . will keep searching youtube . otherwise . . you did give yourself a cute cut!

Seri Vida: Knew I wouldn’t be the only one looking this up during lockdown.

Fanzi: How do you actually manage to cut the back part properly though?

Just Christine: So pleased you got new scissors. The previous video was scary! Great results on both though. I feel a self trim coming on....

noodle: i did this at 3AM, messed up, but now I have a dope asf wolf cut bob type thing B)

A K: You look so good with short hair

Hye-seon Kim: Just a little tip....straighten all your hair before sectioning.....will save time...however all in all it looks great!

Waiting2soar13: Awsome! Just wish you make that front piece a little longer

idk: I had long hair at the beginning of the quarantine. In the first week I cut it into long Bob and now I'm back to cut it even shorter. At the end of the Quarantine I'll be bald.

Raquel Hoffmann: Quarentine cut, here I go!

Tyra Wallberg: ugh i have no impulse control when it comes to my haiir. when i want it shorter i will cut it myself and when i want bangs i cut bangs. im currently trying to grow out my bangs and i really want to cut my hair so that it matches my bangs but then id have to cut my hair to almost over the ears and i dont want that short hair cause itd probably look bad but right now im going to at least cut it shorter, because i usually like having my hair as short as possible without it being classified as actually "short". that probs doesnt make any sense. sorry for the weird rant. i dont even have any proper scissors so this is stupid.

Celice: You're one of the most sympathetic humans ever

doing ur mom: I'm sitting here at 6 am about to impulsively cut my hair off, (I'm 13, and my parents are asleep and I'm terrified) should I wait until I'm home alone so I can just be like: *Suprise! I just cut half of my hair off!* (They are going out tonight to get food). *Thoughts?*
