hey we're here today with Tanya and
she's our newest addition to our staff
here at London hair and we want to give
her something out just a little update
you can see she's already got you know
just a layered cut
she's got naturally wavy hair and she
makes a great blonde we want to do the
repair is not cut a lot off but it's
where we cut it off that we will leave
this front long and we would take some
of this bulk out of it back Tanya you're
up for this today huh okay good because
even just touching up these roots you
see she has a little bit of pink in
those bangs and we might add a little
bit more in there but I think really
changing this haircut by just cutting in
this area back here and lean in this
length back here will really give her a
haircut a major change what that losing
a lot of hair right now we're going to
put her car on you'll come back and
we'll see that cut in action we're back
here with Tommy you can see that touch
to these roots with a great tendency we
brought her up nice and light I just
want to show you from the sign here you
can see what I want to do is I want to
take this back off so this hair is
swinging forward and not coming back
I think it'll change your hair a lot
without cutting a lot of hair off so to
do is like I said we don't want to cut
that back that front I'm going to bring
everything back I'm freeing this at a
low elevation here so cut this off of
one
Pease and they'll create the layering
low and take off the link in the middle
back here or we don't want it so bulky
um I think chill after practicing this a
couple of times and really getting your
hair combed back a nice ponytail then
you can really ayat and judge where to
cut it at - I think with it this thick
it is easier to cut in one piece because
I know where I want to take the layering
I know we want this every bit of this
would be left so we know we don't want
to cut that
but coming this back lifting it out
slightly will create some layering low
where we want it at so that will
actually be my guide that front piece
and this is a beginning it's taking the
excess off and like I said it's leading
all that fleet in the front and not
taking it off the very longest part see
that retained on every bit of in the
back and on every bit of the front man
we've got some straggly stuff that i
want to clean up here that'll be easy
but this way it takes that hair off like
a kind of like an insurance it keeps you
from cutting it too short in the front
and we do want to have these ends fringy
and wispy we don't want a solid blunt
bob and you can see she still has so
much layering on the top that I'm going
to work on this back a little bit and
then dry it and then check it because I
don't want to cut too much we want to
see this hair dry and see what it's
doing and then decide
else it needs it so I'm just going to go
back right here to the neckline if I
click this with the scissors it will
make it blunt and I don't want it blunt
I want this because this is the thickest
part of our hair I want this these edges
to be very fringy so I'm going to just
converge I'm going to take I'm taking it
right off the middle here is this
neckline here we want to sit on her
collarbone and then swing forward you
can see I've got just this ragged edge
here which is what we want we want to
undo them either so taking this a little
bit more bringing it to the middle and
taking it off freaks just a nice Frenchy
edge here your boy ends I think doing
this already you don't have to cut every
hair on the head you just want to
rearrange this shape you can still let
your hair grow pull out a shape to it or
that it look like it's growing out see
taping this low and taking it off at the
shark-tooth it's just so much quicker
and it's really allows you to be
creative and it's fun it's fun to cut
with this so many times you can stand
here look shears and cut and point
cotton all that when this is just
quicker it's just easier to give you
that effect with a little herb and even
a new product on the hair the hair
behaves better she's got the texture
hair that really responds to the razor
I'm gonna lift it out and take a little
bit more off just holding it out a
little bit like that not so solid and
then like I said we do a lot of drawing
flat ironing and then checking all right
see we want that hair to come back and
look now we've got that front
exaggerated and the bag will have a nice
modern shape
and once I get this done I'm going to
run out of hair here we'll dry it and
we'll check it already you can see we've
got a nice shape here this will come
down and this won't even reach but what
I'm going to do is I'm going to drawing
Tanya smooth throughout with the flat
iron and then you'll see me do a little
more finishing through here with my
shark tooth or a little point cutting we
don't want to touch the front we like
the front one the front will actually
look right here will look longer it's
the shorter one we're to the end right
you can see where that she said nice and
jagged know what edges now later from
the front you'll see this nicely here
and not this boat hair hanging in the
back back when you come when we come
back this your Tanya drawing finishing
there we're back here with time this
finished look you can see I've dried her
and smooth her with the flat iron and
you can see how nice and silky and
straight we've got it and already you
can tell that the length is really
showing up in the front and you don't
have this hair hanging in the back once
you've drawn it flying around it you can
really see any little wrinkle or bulge
in there or any flaw in the haircut so
this is really I feel like your
finishing touches
getting that cape out of the way and
seeing with your little blinking just on
this thicker part of her hair and once I
driving pattern I did go through this
and do a little bit of this but I just
want to do it just a little bit more
because I actually play with that hair
and you see it move you can always see
where it needs just a tad bit more and
just playing with this hair you know
what you want and you can see already
that it really gave her lots of texture
in this back but it took out that thick
bulky area right in the middle of her
head below that occipital bone there so
now but here really swings forward and
it has a blunt shape without being too
thick on the ends even going in a little
bit more right in here and just taking
that little point cutting and really
giving it that jagged edge really taking
that hair where it has more movement in
it now this haircut she can continue to
let her hair grow but the best thing is
it really gave her more of a modern look
without cutting over him off well good
and here now is it's moving to the front
it was very open a fashion that hair
shorter put it along in the back it's
just a newer look and you know in a bob
doesn't have to be all one length having
the layering in here is what gives it
all that texture and that movement it
gives it the tousled messy hair we left
her length
bangs long and we could even let these
go a little longer because look she's
got this nice short forehead that really
doesn't have to have bangs but now we've
got hair that really has lots of
movement and texture it really says that
makes a statement now now her hair
doesn't look as if it's grown out but
there's something about the hair when it
hits right in here on the collarbone
it's just flattering and you still have
the feel of having long hair I think
that she still has her put up she has
plenty here to play with
even if she let her own natural hair
air-dry with the whole product in it
she'd had that rule
she messy wavy hair I put a little pom
out in my hands just to run through
these inch just to really play up all
this texture at least PC edges great
makeover for the new stylist she even
said when she got up now she feels like
a stylist thanks for watching

Tanya is a great walking advertisement for me and she has sent me so many clients!!

1960gal: Well, we're half way through 2016, and I still want this hairstyle! Can't believe how similar my hair looks now, in the 'before' growing out style. Mine needs so much taming: natural blond, with a ton of natural silvery highlights now (at 56!).If I leave it natural it looks......awful. Frizzy, rather than curly (as there are no real layers), or dread of dread, it can sometimes hang in....ringlets!! Must get over my fear of having my haircut (seriously, scares me to bits!), and just go and get this cut done to mine. Tell me ladies, what would I ask for?
paula19762007: Beautiful !
Mel T.: Beautiful cut!
Aura Lee: this is beautiful!
Huyen-Tran Phung: I really like this haircut! I want one exactly like this. Although, I have a question. I have a very round face, and also really thin hair. I have layers right now, but have grown them out so my shortest layer is just a couple of inches below my shoulder. I'm wondering, will this haircut make my hair more thin, and can this work on a person with a round face?
E W: beautiful cut and colour:)
kimberly dawn: Awww Stephanie I dont think u were sounding blah at all. I thoughtthis video was very informative and luv to hear what your doing verbally . Keep talking luv to hear your voice and knowledge. what a blessing it is to see this and hear what you are doing :) good job !! and your model looks adorable btw and thanks for sharing your work as always a big fan
Justina Perez: Love this!!
JBlitchy: Hi, I really enjoy watching your videos. Was wondering if you guys ever have cutting classes I could attend. I'm from Florida and have never been to Charleston so it would be a good excuse (and maybe a write-off) to see your city and also gain some good cutting experience. I would like to see some Men's cuts too. Thanks for your informative videos.
Angela Acheé: Beautiful!!!
Jann: Gorgeous!
Tiffany Droste: I love this cut! What "key words" would someone use to explain this cut to a hair dresser?
RecurveLife: Love it
Victoria Misheva: I absolutely loved that hairstyle! Do you have a salon in London?! Xx
chemnerdgurl: Most beautiful hair cut I have ever seen
jenniferjean78: Hi What Color line did you use for 10C? Great cut!
paula19762007: gorgeous!
Kelly Dunn: gorgeous!!!
loonstra777: She looks lovely fresh!
stephanie dubose: hey kim, you can call our salon and order one over the phone! it comes with a dvd that has 3 cuts on it demonstrating the razor, we did a show in birmingham and sold out in october so we placed another order and should have them to sell by january, it takes like 60 days to get them especially around the holidays, maybe longer , definitely by january! 843-884-9922 london hair inc.
Suzanne Campbell: Love the way you do this. I like the way you do a lot better than the bobs that are cut so short in the very back. That freaks me out. And I am a hairdresser..
Karen Gamble: Love this hairstyle, you are brilliant! Please come to the UK! x
stephanie dubose: Hey lizette, I'm glad u noticed that! I did that on purpose, just a subtle longer length to one side gives more interest to the cut, if u notice, the hair travels further on one side when you have a deep side part, that's why I like just a slight asymmetry to a cut, a perfect haircut can b boring!! That's just my opinion, thanks for watching!
brenpol1: Love it
Marysa Lee: I really like this one I'm going to get my hair cut like this tomorrow
jsnwelsch17: Texturizing usually gives you all that texture you are looking for!
1960gal: I saved this haircut years ago I believe. Its now 04/07/20 in the UK, the Hairdressers were given the Green Light to open from Midnight.....and I'm thinking I'd better book myself an appointment for a decent cut! I've spent the past 14wks taking advantage of my frizz-ball. I think its a very bad thing to keep 'hairdressing' scissors in the home lol! I'll call on Monday and see if I can arrange something for mid-Aug say. Should give my very bad 'home haircut' a chance to grow out a bit more! I bet hairstylists are anxious on many levels about re-opening their doors. Aside from staying safe and well with Covid social distancing and PPE-stuff, trying to save their Businesses, I'd say up their with those worries is what they'll have to correct after leaving us lot to muller our own barnets!!!lol Stay Safe and Well Everyone x
oconcats: Great cut and color, it changes her face entirely! wow....
Alyson McGowan: love the haircut!

D: Love this ma'am
Athanasia TZR: Love it
chrissy6971: I want this cut! What is the name of the cutting tool you used on this?
Fruit2Live: Beautiful
Amelie: great artistic work!! you did beautiful new style... what would be the best way to describe to my stylist?
bchgurl321: Adorable!
E: So cute!
Malcolm Donaldson: Good looking haircut . It was nice to see a stylist leave the length .
Go Retro: I love this...one question. Would this work on fine hair? Her hair looks a little on the thicker side.
Leonor Soproni: much better!! great haircut! i love it!
