So yeah talk a real fast, I'm talking real, fast and talking real fast talk, a real, fast, hello friends and welcome back to my channel. It'S me Sid and thank you so much for clicking to watch this video today, I'm going to be talking to you guys about my hair and showing you how I style my hair and this like finger wave cute little wavy style in my last video pros and Cons of having short hair, so so many of you guys asked if I can do a tutorial on how I do my hair and I did try to film a tutorial. This is the second time I filmed this video, the first time I just it just wasn't. I just feel like it's different, like they're, even after making videos for so long, there's still a pressure when the cameras on like this. It'S still a pressure that I have to get used to a little bit. If that makes sense like what I'm still learning to do something, I feel a lot of pressure knowing that people are going to be watching and trying to learn from me. So I just wanted to be known that I'm still an amateur like I am, and I might even title this video a mature finger waves because I'm still learning but yeah, I'm also going to be sharing with you guys. You know more about my hair. What I'm doing with it? How much has grown the products that I use? If anyone is curious about that - and I will also be sure to link down below the original video that I learned how to do finger eyes from because I think she does an amazing job at explaining it. If you haven't already - and you would like to please subscribe to my channel and come hang out with me some more - I live to have you and if you would like to see how I style my short hair, then just keep on watching alright guys. So this is my hair, I washed it earlier and I let it dry on its own. I wouldn't get my nails done and just let it dry. This is the link that I said I haven't cut my hair since December. Like late December, I cut it right before the new year and I've just been letting it grow, and it's growing crazy fast. I mentioned in my last hair video that it's a little bit of a con for me how fast it grows, because I just notice it a lot quicker. I also have a hard time like growing. The sides of my hair are super super thin and my mom says that its genetic, but I think that it's because I just wore way like in 2017, I wore wigs 24 9. So I think it just kind of made my edges a bit thinner than they normally would be, because on this side, it's not as thin as it is over here like over. Here, it's really really thin. If you guys know of any like remedies or products that I can use to try and picking this up, please let me know I would love love to try those out but yeah. This is where we're at right now. Next, I'm gon na go in with this styling foam from Carol's Daughter, it's praecox e neck door, styling foam and I'm gon na take a lot of that, and just put it all over my head. You want to take a generous amount of this like a lot and just put it all over, and I like to kind of lay it where I want my hair to lay so it starts working in that way. You don't have sand like. Oh, I want to make sure you get the back really good. I don't finger wave the back because I'm still an amateur like I'm, not by any means I can barely thing away the front. So what I look like trying to do, the back a lot of that. Basically, like make your hair look like it's wet again put a lot a lot of styling foam. I really hate the way it makes my hands feel just like so gross I'm gon na. Take off my ring for this cuz, it just feels so gross and weird is anyone else. A texture person like I am definitely a texture person. I don't like the way things feel on my hands or like in my mouth, even like some foods. I can't I can't, even if it tastes good, I can't because of the texture. I'Ve never touched a snake before I refuse. I refuse to touch a snake. I don't even want to like. Just by looking at the way a snake looks. I don't want to imagine what it feels like. Okay, am I the only one? Okay now that I have the most all over, I'm gon na go in and part it now. I want it to be parted and I like to do it's kind of like a semi deep part, deep side part, it's really hard to part your hair when it's short, because the strands are just so tiny, well tiny strands. This part is good. I feel good about this part. Now I'm just gon na brush it down, especially want to make sure you brush down the back, because you want that to lay as flat as possible since you're, not gon na be finger waving it you just don't want it to look crazy and then I like To kind of brush the hair to the front so that it lays flat to the front so like brush it to the front for sure now we can take our gel. I like using the eco, styler, blacks, black, castor and flaxseed oil gel. This gel is like pretty it has like sparkles in it. I don't know if you guys can see that. Can you see it's like glittery, take like a healthy amount of jail, not too much just a little bit and I'm gon na start with this side because it has less hair and it's easier for me. I don't know it's a mental thing for me, like I feel like if I can conquer this side and this sides not gon na, be too too bad. I love this gel though I also use this gel on my hair before it was relaxed and it worked really well. So if you don't have a relaxer, you don't want to get a relaxer. This gel still works really well to lay down natural hair curls. You just probably have to use a little bit more still works great. I'M also gon na take some of that gel and put it on the back right now, just cuz. Why not? Well, that's just sit and chilling okay, so after you've applied the gel, then you can go in and start to wave it. I'M not gon na psyche myself out, I'm Jill, I'm Jo, so to wave it. What you want to do is start at the top and with a small comb. You just want to start by making a C, so you'll start with a little bit of hair. Maybe I should zoom in you guys can see a little bit better. You'Ll start with a little bit of hair, and you just kind of want to make like a C shape, so make a C shape with the hair and follow it with your finger like that, and then you'll go in with another piece and mix it with the First one and then, as you get to the back, the hair obviously gets longer. You just want to make sure you're really going through and just kind of like swooping it down. Then you can just go back over the top part, so just make sure there's and go back as far as you want to I kind of just like to stop there cuz. I don't know what to do past that okay, so next you're gon na go for the bottom like go under the first C and go the opposite direction. So the first time we went back now we're gon na bring it forward. So you just want to grab the hair and swoop it forward like this grab and forward. Don'T look too bad, but I'm gon na start over just cuz. Oh yes, I'm gon na put a little bit more mousse, so it's just slightly more flexible. It'S putting too much gel we'll make it like a little harder like it sticks more. Okay, so, like start with a see ya, putting more moose makes it definitely more flexible, so you can move it around a little bit more okay, then go here! Think of it most important part is to take your time and just go as slow as you can like. Definitely wouldn't recommend doing this. If you have somewhere to go, I think it's better to do it at nighttime. Actually, if you're not good at it, like I'm, not I'm, definitely like still trying to craft this, then I wouldn't recommend doing it like if you're in a rush, that's pretty damn good. I think this one I'm happy with okay, I'm happy with the way it came out this time. I'Ve seen people do like cute little swoops down by the ear too, but you listen, I'm not there. Yet I'm not there. Yet we move at our own pace. Okay for this side, for this side, I'm gon na go in with some gel, and I don't because there's so much hair up here, I usually don't like finger wave it up top. I kind of just I'll show you I'll just show you what I mean. Okay, so for this side I like to start right up top and just begin the see up top, so the very first one will be here. I think that looks cute and I'll just start down there. So I won't I'm not gon na start up here at all I'll start. The see down here, if you have enough product on it'll, be a lot easier to move it. So you don't have to worry about like having to start again we're just laying the hair to the front just making sure it like lays flat and then coming down here and bringing it back around. Oh, that looks good, hey, hey! You got ta celebrate your wins. Like take time and celebrate your wins because you deserve it, you deserve it. I like to celebrate my wins every every swoop I like to take a break, and you know thank myself now, I'm bringing it the hair back to the front just for the little couple of pieces down here, important that you grab some from the top. So you always want to grab a little bit from the firt, the previous swoop, so that it creates the zigzag effect that you want okay and then then you're done like getting better and better every day. This is like the fourth time that I've tried doing this and getting better. I don't, I still don't know how to do the back, though, don't know how to do the back. Okay, so after I've laid it down, I'm going to tie it up with a scarf I've been using this cotton scarf honestly, because I couldn't find my silk scarf for the longest time, so I've just been using this one and it honestly works really well. I think because it helps to soak up the product a little bit more. It dries it faster. I mean, obviously, I think a silk scarf would be better, but this one's been working really fine for me. So that's what I'm gon na use for this video and you obviously want to be so gentle like be as gentle as you possibly can. I'M like so scared. Okay, it's fine! It'S fine! We'Re chill. Are we chill said? Oh, you want to tie it tight, but you also just want it to be gentle enough that it's not gon na mess up. You know all that hard work and effort. We just did okay and then you just want to wait for it to dry like if you do it at night, you can wait for it to dry overnight. I honestly wait like 30 to 35 minutes truthfully and then it's pretty dry and done so just gon na wait for it to dry and then I'll be right back. Alright, you guys. So this is what my hair looks like after I take off the scarf. I had it on for about an hour a little over an hour. I wouldn't a watch some Kimmy Schmidt. I love that show. I love unbreakable, Kimmy Schmidt. Have you guys seen that show? I love that show ok. So this is what it finishes out to be, and this is how I've been styling it lately. So I hope that you guys enjoyed this video and it helps you in some way. Please leave your questions down below like for anything that I didn't answer in this video or anything you're curious about. I loved reading all of the comments - and I see every single comment. So if you have a specific question that you wanted to know about my hair, please ask it down below and I will be sure to answer that all right, you guys, I love you so so much and thank you for watching I'll see you in my next Video

moving mountains: Jamaican black castor oil for thinning edges use a small brush to massage it in.

KiWi: Ever since you shaved your head your eyebrows have been flourishing. I think they love the Limelight

Jolie: So are you not wearing makeup anymore? Your skin looks SOO GOOD lately and you just look lit from within. Congratulations

J Artisteobscure: Beautiful!...and I love the homage to Josephine Baker: both the hairstyle and posters. I always appreciated her ability to focus on being a bright happy light during darker times for POC, even if it meant taking serious steps such as moving away to another country. Sometimes you have to step way out of whatever box is already set there and create another reality focused on what you want to see. PS. Love the self development direction of your channel...outer beauty is fun but it really shimmers when your good within. ✌

safi: 4 days ago i cut all of my hair off & reality never hit me until yesterday that it’s gone. I’ve always been insecure about my hair so now that i feel completely naked without it i was wondering how you found your way? This video was so relatable, it even made me giggle. I feel like i made the right decision to cut it but sometimes my anxiety & thoughts get to me so here i am .. struggling .. on youtube ..

Dominique Settles: I love this woman. I love her honesty, energy, everything

Tamago: Yessss I'm such a texture person too I heard it's a thing when you're hypersensitive, for example you can't stand certain noises, you "feel" the energy from people, etc... Sensitivity can have so many forms, and texture is definitely one of them for me. Eating a peach ??? Me ??? No. F. Way.

Tymelis Burns: My current hairstyle has been exactly like this for the past month or two & I haven’t mastered the back either haha! I love seeing other people with beautiful short hairstyles as well, go girl ✨

armani tomlinson: If you put castor oil on the sides & massage it in ... it should work

Van Whi: Cute! This looks like the easiest tutorial I’ve found. Thank you! I’m going to try it.

Ebony Skeptic: This made prepping my short relaxed hair so simple. Thx for the tutorial.

Hoàng Anh: Still watching this video despite having the straightest asian hair possible just for Cydnee's calming voice and aura ^^ Love your videos <3!

Alarice: That is SO cute and a great idea for super short hair! <3 Question: Does the hair foam, gel, and edges work on only relaxed hair, or can it work on hair in its natural state?

Carla Smith: Girl in the 90’s we were finger wave masters! We sat in front of mirrors and practiced just like you. Unfortunately we had a few mouses out there so hair gel and hairspray were our style mediums. You have done a good job young lady! Keep practicing and you will be a pro like us old gals.

llstandsforllamas: I literally just took my box braids out, loving my new growth and hair length. Then I see your video and now I wanna chop it all off

Destiny Pearson: I love this explanation of finger waves..it makes sense to me. I've only tried it once but after watching this video I feel like I can definitely try again.

Lisa Isabelle: I have no idea how I ended here but I'm so glad I did. Gorgeous girl, gorgeous hairstyle! ♥

Simply Sondra: OMG! I have been watching videos on how to style short hair with soft waves and I ran across your video. This is the best video on how to actually do a finger wave. I actually just want to do the wave around the perimeter of my head and this is perfect. Thank you so much for sharing. I too have thin very fine edges and waving it helps camouflages the thinness until my grow back.

Lesli just lesli: Your hair looks super cute like this! I think I want to try this when I'm ready to grow my hair out.

AshleyTerrell: Hi Cydnee, I use Gro-aut oil to help grow my edges. I definitely notice a difference when I use it consistently everyday or at least every other day.

Celeste K.: Don’t be nervous! You did great! And you look absolutely adorable with that style

DesignByJanie: This is by far the easiest explanation/demonstration of how to do finger waves! Thank you!!!

Onlyveeks: Really inspiring me to cut my hair! Would love to rock this as well as you do (:

GOLDENBROWNSUGAR: Yes! I’m a texture person as well with touch and food!!!! Thanks this helped me so much because I decided to go back relaxer and since my hair is short I want to style it cute but I suck at fingerwaves so this video helped me a bunch!!!!!

Deelifull: I absolutely love the finger waves style!!!! It's gorgeous!!

Tshepiso Olivia Makhudu: Absolutely love your method. Every time they did this to me at the salon, Iv always wondered how they got those C to be cohesive and wavy. Thank you so much for this video.

O Moriarty: Pure class. This looks stunning on you!

Lulu: I loveee this! I have been natural since 2013 and I wanna chop my hair off again ! Love your videos Cyd!

Dashia Rahmaan: Cydnee your hair looks great! You can use Jamaican black castor oil on your edges.

Jocelyn R: Can we talk about how your nails match your eyes? I love

JUICYDAPIMPCESS: Even though we don’t have the same hair textures, I can give anyone some tips (for hair growth and healthy hair) 1. I’m not going to say don’t straighten your hair because that’ll be silly BUT anytime you straighten it, you should use heat protectant spray/oil and blow dry your hair before straightening it (it makes it easier to straighten without the extra burning) 2. RICE WATER METHOD! Its an Indian technique. I stayed in India for 2 months and did this technique three times a week and my hair grew 6.5 inches. 3. The right shampoos & conditioners. Try to get shampoos without the sulfates because those strip your hairs soooo bad! The BEST conditioner for nourishment to the hair is Silicon Mix Bambu. 4. If you have random patches missing / hair loss / bad dandruff use (don’t laugh) Monistat (YES yeast infection cream) it has ingredients that kill off unwanted bacteria and yeast that can cause hair loss! Make sure to dilute it 70% water 30% cream cause it’ll cause headaches if you don’t.

Tae Gagum: This video is a big help! This is my go to video when I don’t know how to start. The way you show to start your “C” was an helpful technique. Most ppl don’t go slow, they rush through. The way you explained it really helps!

Scott: You make it look so easy just cut my hair for the first time and really needed this video

Kimberly Route: You did an amazing job. Looks really pretty.

Amy Russell: I've never been able to master cold finger-waves! It looks great on you!

Linda Mitchell: Finger waves look so good on you. Years ago, a hairstylist finger-waved the front of my hair edges from temple to temple. It looked weird because I have long hair. I had a finger wave mullet look.

Ruth Foxe: Love your videos and your spirit. I see you are evolving and changing constantly. I enjoy watching you embrace yourself at every stage and point no matter what. Keep up the good work. You totally rock!!!

Tammy Mcpherson: I just watched this video, and absolutely love, love, love your hair in this video!!!! The finger waves, and part are awesome! Thanks for the video

TheeQueenBeast: Although I love my medium length natural hair I always wondered how this was done but never cared enough to take the time out and look so thanks for exposing me to this.

Simone Nyota: I just did my big chop last week and this video has me excited to do waves for the first time.

Nydaisha Waters: I really liked this I have short hair myself and I find myself trying to get my little curls to lay great video also beautifully shaped head

franzabananza: Lol I love that she’s so realistic. But this is such a cute style to wear while wanting finger waves but still learning to do it

Monica Mack: I absolutely LOVE your hair and the other short styles that I've seen prior to this one too.

dawnalisa edwards: You are Adorable! I Love your energy and your mindset and personality is Tremendous! Never stop being You, and your skin, teeth and natural hair is B E A U T I F U L babygirl, I'm totally here for ALL of it! The Eyes are heaven sent and truly hypnotic. Olivia 5757: This is so cute! You look great with this look

Naya Naya: I shaved my hair December 27th 2018. And our hair is like the exact same length, only difference is that mine is really thick & gets extremely curly every time I put anything wet into it I really want to try this cute style tho!

ShareeReneé: I love love love your content! Keep doin your thing hun

Ree MJ: Oh another tip. Saturate the hair more. More mousse will make it REALLY easy. You can drag the comb all the way to the front. Then drop down & drag it allll the way to the back. Drop again and drag back to the front. Hair has to be really saturated for this method but it's the easiest if you aren't comfortable with the S method

Wendy Nokuthula: Wow you made everything look so easily.... Very perfect... It really helped....

JaCyah Dixon: You are so pretty & thank you I've been needing a tutorial for my hair that I can ACTUALLY do. New sub

elizabeth a: Glad this came across my videos to watch. My hair is the same length as yours and I have no idea what to do with it. Because of you, now I do. Thanks!

Technicolor-mom: Never part your hair in the same direction all the time switch it up often. Also don’t use products with alcohol it dries the hair and causes breakage.

Laura in Lafayette: Precious! With a bold red lip you’d have a 1920’s style!

marjorie augustin: No matter what she does she still kill it with weave, short hair she still Stunning

Bec Purcell: Love your videos. <3. I used to be a licenced snake catcher/relocator here in Australia a number of years ago. I'd get call outs to homes where venomous snakes had been sighted, catch them, bag them, and then release them elsewhere. A big part of the job was showing the customer the caught snake and educating them about it to remove some of the stigma about it. I'd hold it (securely) so they could get a close up look at it and let them touch it if they were game (while still holding it securely if course...). Snakes are lovely, cool, dry and smooth like satin. A lot of people think they're going to be slimey and gross but they're not. Definitely try touching one if you ever get offered a chance to do so at a zoo, animal refuge etc. They're really beautiful creatures, even the venonous ones lol!

Edna Stewart: Cydnee, I hope you see this . You mentioned in another video about your blemishes or small dots on your cheeks, You look so great and they are not much of a problem to me but there is this miracle product on the market Named Merderma Scar Gel I’ve used it for my face , I had a very small scar over my eyebrow which was similar to a small pimple. Completely cleared it up , I think it has some ingredient that regenerates you skin, at least that’s the experience I get when I use it. also I used it on my stomach for my stitches ( scars which were left years after the operation ) The stitches were-done with a needle and thread the way they were 30 years ago, years ago when I had my operation. My nephew used it, he’s 36 for his legs which were scarred up from 30 years ago I also used it from when I had knee scars from when I was a kid so it doesn’t matter old or new scars but it can not be used for any open cuts or wounds ( none ) ! Don’t use on scars that has any skin or flesh wound of any kind but as long as it’s a closed wound or don’t use on skin or flesh like anything that’s broken the skin or pulled the skin open. I purchased it from Amazon but Walmart has it and a few drug store chains. The cost is $ 14 up to $ 23 depending on the size and it’s also sold for children called kids scar gel which I brought for my Grandson as he has a scar from getting hit by a car a few years ago , they sell it as a topical gel which you only need a sm dot on each area to smooth in and I use mine every day or every other day Everyone should read the directions and use accordingly but the price for kids tube is a little higher in price. Hope it helps ! for your face you should try Scar Gel, works Great it’s just perfection in a tube it really takes care of any blemishes or imperfect skin areas

allsubstance substance: What a cute style; well done!

Leslie Slider: Castor oil and pimento oil grew my edges out super fast!

mellylbelly: I’ve been binge watching your videos for TWO weeks now, and I don’t regret it one bit! ❤️

Latonya Robinson: Your video have been a lot of helps for me doing my fingerwaves..keep up the good work❤

Yoshe black: The short hair that you're wearing brings out every feature in your face absolutely beautiful

Yazzy: I'm actually cutting my hair off before school and needed ways to style it. SO glad i came across this video!!

TAO TAO: JOY is incredibly beautiful on you! Wishing you well! ❤️

Rosy The Creator To Save Peru KAL TEAM: Oh my gosh, am the same way with texture, especially when you mentioned the snake, it's a word to word of how I feel about it. Your hair looks great! Love it.

T: This hair is so much better on you wow slaying and I loved your hair before ofc but this just suits your face so nicely yes ❤️

Candace Burns: Omg you look AMAZING with short hair!!! I love your long locks, but your bones structure and short hair give you a nice intense POP with those eyes of yours

Melanin 'N' Honey: Yes!! We've been waiting way too long for this tutorial

J: I don’t have short hair I just find the process really soothing

Marlena Miller: The best tutorial ever you acting explaining what you’re doing instead of just doing the magic can we also see how to protect it while you sleep and how many days you can keep it looking cute !!

Mekhi Youngblood: How long do you recommend to keep the hairstyle in before you wash it again? & do you have to keep your hair perm a lot for this?

Shanna Lynch: Chopped my hair too. Love yours try a little peppermint oil to stimulate your scalp along with the castor oil. No gel, weave, braids, tight scarfs on those edges for awhile. Also use the ball of your fingers to massage the scalp.

dare dare: Beautiful !! Try Black Jamaican Castor Oil on your edges, works for me tremendously.

Hale Bopp: It’s probably already mentioned but I heard using a derma roller helps hair grow back and also doing a scalp massage with cayenne pepper oil. Oil can make dandruff worse though so beware.

LYNDA B.: Use at night or everyother: Coconut oil or if allergic - Almond Oil or Olive Oil, steeped w/Walnut leaves (from health herbal store like Penn Herb), rosemary, nettle, w/Amla Powder, fennelgreek (light brown seeds). Steep in oven; let sit out of oven then strain off into tempered glass jar.

Caila Beasley: Thank you for making this video it helped me ALOT

Marli Queen: You did great!! I love it!

Amatullah Muhammad: This gave me anxiety. Any Cosmetology students haunted by Finger waves?!

L. S.: I tried jamaican black castor oil with lavender for thin edges. It did help with alittle growth...but I started to notice dryness on my skin. So I stopped using it. Maybe I was just sensitive to it. But I did get some fullness and growth. Hope that helps.

Cee Jay: Waaaaah! You are so cute! I love you! But yeah try Jamaican black castor oil for the thin edges, but I’m sure a lot of people have mentioned that. I’ve found that mixing with a smaaaall amount of tea tree oil & rubbing into the scalp helps stimulate the hair follicles to promote growth! Love the video

Letitia Maptue: Use rice water rose water mix on your hair. it did wonders on my edges. my edges went from empty to full in 2 months and my hair overall is very strong and healthy

Dadya Russki: Amazing! If you are not an expert, you are very close to being one. I love it.

Marleen Peeters: I have straight blonde hair but still watched the whole thing haha

Haley Soh: Use black caster oil mixed with rosemary or mint essential oil. I prefer rosemary. The essential oils help to stimulate blood flow so it’s essential! I used it to grow back my eyebrow after over plucking way to much

Donna Little-Ewing: Thank you so much for your video I’m still learning as well so I’m going to watch it over and over

Pearlena Alan: Super cute! Gonna have to try it out!

sabrina wray: For your edges: Put castor oil on your edges and baby the area to protect the strands.

famousssusaan: ur soooooooo beautiful girl I love ur eyes and dont let these ppls opinions bother u

Moira Christine: I love your videos ❤❤ you're such a queen if you wanna try to regrow your edges, like you mentioned, try rice water!❤ I love this hairstyle on you btw you look so elegant
