This is a tutorial on how to do a graduated bob. I used a razor and scissors to create this look.

Hi guys it's Tammy today, I'm going to show you how to do a layered graduated Bob, we're going to grow out this tap a little bit for her, so we're just going to be trimming this up, but we're going to take this up in the back to More of a layer graduated Bob, I'm going to use my feather razor. I just changed the blade the blade comes in and off. I can usually get about two or three haircuts out of each blade. I'M going to do some graduation down here and I'm going to start the section where her head naturally starts going down like this occipital bone right here we're going to be doing our graduation right here. So I'm going to section that out I'm just going to cut about 3/4 of an inch in the bottom part here and I'm going to sort of cone that against her neck, I'm going to sort of softly comb that down and we're going to trim that all Along her neck, so it gets real tight, so it has that undercut in the bottom. It'S going to clean these little extra hairs up with the razor can also clean your neck, but don't press down too hard just lightly go over it. Now I'm another way: I'm going to do this, I'm going to take this middle section right here, I'm going to work up in a semicircle, so I'm going to first cut like that. You can see I'm going to pull it straight out in a ninety degree, and now I'm going to do it in a semicircle, I'm going to work up like this, so I'm going to use that first guide, I'm going to work up in a semicircle. I love working with the razor because you don't have to do a lot of texturizing after the razor it texturizers while it's cutting and if you do it on the inside of your palm, like the way, I'm doing it's not going to get too frayed. It'S not going to get too crazy the way sometimes razor hair cuts can get. If you do too much cutting on the inside here with the razor, it can get a little crazy, it can be too much texturizing and that's what sometimes people don't like about razor cuts. They were just too texturized, but if you're going to just do it on the tips like this, I'm just the ends and you're going to do it. In the inside of your palm. It'S going to be really nice. Your client will really like it really makes it on blended and feather airy, nice and texturize when you do it, so I'm just going to double check this spot right here. So I'm already done with this. Now I'm going to just kind of pull everything down into this now this is going to be a layered Bob, so we're going to be layering it a little bit in here now she's, not looking to go much shorter. All in here she wants to kind of keep that longer more of a nice symmetrical, even so we're mostly focusing on this back area. So I'm going to pull this down to this spot right here, I'm going to angle it down and we're just going to keep pulling things down until it doesn't reach anymore. So I'm going to be pulling it back all to here, yeah, not too much more reaches. I'M just going to be cleaning this up right here. Okay, so now I'm going to be rounding this all out and blending it into the bottom again, she's growing it out. She didn't want a lot clouds, so we're just going to be trimming this up and I'm also going to point cut a little bit into it just for the texture part of it, and we're just going to blend that into that. There'S that little section right there. I just want to learn I'm directing this part back because because of the ear you want to over direct this back a little bit so that when it so, then, when you drop it, it's going to be fuller by that ear area, because if you pull this Out then, you end up having like a hole here, so you always want to over direct around the ear area and again I'm sort of cutting and just kind of point cutting where I think it needs it. If you notice, my fingers are rounded they're in a rounded way. So, as I cut I'm rounding my fingers and that's going to make it all a nicer haircut all around that's going to round it out all nicely so as you're cutting round your fingers to sort of follow your fingers as you go, always check your haircuts in The opposite direction of the way you caught it. So since I cut it this way, I'm going to double check it coming out this way, just to make sure there's no make extrange spots, but there's not okay, I'm going to be over directing the sides to go back so basically going to be pulling everything back Here because she wants to keep her length on her sides, we want to keep. We want to keep it longer up in the front, there's not much coming off because again we're just over directing this back and for the length here. What I'm going to do is I'm going to comb it down, put it behind her ear, so I'm gon na go down and put it behind her ear like this sorta and then I'm going to clone it down, and then I'm just going to cut this hairline Right here, then, when she pulls it forward, it should be a little bit longer in the front for the top. I'M just going to be trimming the whole thing I'm going to take it all up the 90-degree angle, I've sectioned out my rounds for the top. That'S where the head starts, rounding on I'm just going to pull it all up at a 90 degree angle and just round it out. So I'm rounding my fingers again we're just taking off the tips, I'm not taking off too much when it comes to her top again because she's growing it out and I'm rounding it out running my fingers. It'S okay to move your hand down to make it easier to cut as long as you lack in the hair, you want to make sure the hair is really locked in before you pull it down if you're having trouble with locking in and just cut it up. Here, but if you can hold it real tight, it's okay to move it! Now, I'm just going to be connecting everything together, I'm going to connect the top with the sides. So I'm just going to be rounding all of that out and the lamb going to do. That is hold it straight out from here straight out from the head on a 90 degree angle as well, and there's really not much to connect we're just going to be rounding that out together and I'm just going to be cleaning it up and rounding it out. If it needs point cutting, if it looks too heavy in some sections, I might just point cut it a little bit here are the results here. You

Suzinne Barrett: Thank you Tammy for sharing this tutorial! Am going to give my girl friend this cut. She got great hair to begin with and after watching this a bunch of times, think I can do a decent job. Will update.

benemanoo: I love this cut. This is what I usually do, just with longer top layers, and without bangs:) I can learn a lot from your videos. They are the most informative on youtube, in my opinion. Thank you!

phyllis burke: I love this hair cut. I have been watching your videos and love them. I need to jazz up my cutting a bit and I am getting some great tips. Thanks for making these videos.

Sara Ares: Thank's a lot for the video! you explained it great. I love bob haircuts, and still don't get it exactly how i want to, i don't know what i do wrong, but i learned alot from this video. So thank you! Tammy i wanted to ask you about something i've heard, hair die has this quemical called Phenylenediamine (PPD). And that it's very bad for you. I am a hairstilist, and i've seen that almost all hairdie has that component. Do you use free ppd hairdie? what do you think about all this? thank's again .

Johnnyb Goode: I love your videos. Awesome results! and your instructional aspect is clear and concise ...and ...with a pleasant voice that is easy to listen to! :+)

rkrepps0206: Hey Tammy! Just a quick question.....do you always curve your fingers for ALL hircuts? I am a brand new hairstylist so I'm learning as much as I can. Thank you for all your videos! You are awesome! :)

Tee: Great work. I'm genuinely impressed!!

lisane71: I loved the haircut using a razor! Great. Congrats!

HarrLable: I definitely learned a new way to do this now after watchng this video! The way I was taught in school is rather confusing and complicated, so I never really understood. Your tutorial is definitely easier! Thanks!

Kaley Boo: Fantastic tutorial! thanks!

1SarahEliza: I love your videos!!! Could you please please please show a video on how to trim medium/long layers yourself, I am terrified to go to a salon due to many bad experiences :(

treatdreams123: Nice job and love the color!

Diana Nemo: Hi Tammy, I was just wondering why you didn't continue to cut vertically after your first vertical sectioning? Why did you choose to cut in a semi-circle? A lot of places charge more for razor cuts--do you feel that is justified?

richard hardie: great haircut again Tammy. she looks wonderful. well done

rexmikey1: Now this is the my style haircuts!!! I really enjoyed this video!

truckker63: Hi Tammy. Thanks again for your great work YOU SHOW us. Regards

DomBarber: I am great admirer of your videos ! When and where did you learn to use the feather razor ?

Stella whittee: I love it all your friends and fam must be looking very nice. My daughter wants layers on her hair but it's super ling and thick

Shirley Lake: Where do you work? You are a phenomenal hairstylist. Many hairstylist just chop for 15 minutes and pray that it turns out ok and the client does not notice the wreck until they leave the shop. Their answer to a bad hair cut is thinning or cutting shears which just leave the hair broken with split ends. You are a professional. How can I get a stylist to actually cut my hair like this?

kelly dunn: Beautiful:-)

yolanda atkinson: love the way you explain while during your videos, and your teacher speak is very good thanks so much

maleficentdiva: I think for this cut I would have added some curl to it, I like layered haircuts, but I don't like when they are worn so straight like that, it just looks too flat. Maybe keep the front smooth and then flip up the back with a 3/4 curling iron, that would give it some texture. :)

Ecoralluzzo: Do you have any videos of a wedge?? I love your style of cutting and would love to learn a diffrent easier way to do a wedge:)

TiffanieRenee Allison: Is there any way to do the Angled Bob without the Razor? If so can you please upload a Vid for it soon? Thanks!

Talizah Guzman: what kind of blade do you buy for the razor? & where can you buy it?

maria salgado: Well done!  Thank you!

lv89015: aarrggg, I would have loved to see how you styled her, I love your work, thanks

BISHOP DENIE CRYER: is this a good cut for a round face for an older women

SOLAR POWER FOR THE POOR !: AWESOME!

A Relaxed Persona: I liked the cut but disagree with the curving of the fingers you shouldnt cut past your knuckles or you will end up with an uneven haircut

Elushka29: Love your videos

Shaquita Combs: You are awesome!

divasmartee: I like the idea of using a razor and cutting softly on the inside of the hand. The partings and sections were not very clean and were wide. If the haircut desired wasn't already almost there to start with...?? I doubt if it would have worked as well, or on hair types like blondes or someone with fine hair. Otherwise, a good demo.

Crissy Love: Nice job!! Really

Leigh Ann S: Cute!!

soapjar62: Show us the Jennifer Aniston Hair cut from the older shows of Friends pleeze!

Gemma: I don't see what's so good about this haircut,it's very simple.

DomBarber: such a top notch video

Samantha Fisher: this is what I wanted and ended up with a butchered job. now my hair isn't growing

I HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND ME, THANK YOU FOR ALL BYE

Latoria Martin: tHATS SO PRETTY

7328143297 arboledadelacruz: What is so great about that type of hair cut?

Divine Digamon mga kurepot din ung padahero: Nice
