(Growing Hair Out Tutorial) Girls Hairstyles

---Ok, RaDona is not only my sister-in-law, but she has been my fabulous hairdresser long before she married my husband's brother. It has been great to have her in the family! So when I went for my haircut 4 months ago and told her I was tired of my A-line cut that I had for years and wanted to grow my hair out, she said that the first thing I would want to do is add some highlights so I would feel like I had a little change in my hair. That was definitely good advice because before long I was starting to doubt my decision to grow my hair out. But I loved the look of beach-curled hair, soft ponytails, and fun twists, so I kept plugging along. In this video, RaDona shows how she cuts my hair to help keep my hair healthy and in some sort of a style while I am in that awkward in-between stage. The video for styling it is called How to Style DeeAnn's Hair. We are so glad that you have visited our videos today. Please leave a comment or subscribe to our channel. Thanks!

Hi I'm her daughter and auntie em her boys at girls, hairstyles, calm um today. What I wanted to show you at the end is how we have grown her hair out used to be a shorter eight line, I'm stepping back and she found another haircut that she wants longer so um. We just kept it trimmed because we want it to look healthy and kind of be somewhat of in a style why she girls it out, and so what we've done is we've just trimmed. We'Ve kept this up with this back, just barely trimmed. These layers see these layers are long days to be probably not now long so anyway, just keep barely trimming them um, and then we have kept a little bit of a stack in the back just to take some bulk out through here and then we have been Texturizing, it and I'll show you that, then we also have her veins in the front, which I also think is a great idea. If you were going to grow your hair out in case, you need to pull it back or something there's always some in the front. Okay, what I do with her - I just pull this straight down just going to go straight across hair. Just barely trim both ends, yeah we're only going about another inch. You know so she doesn't want to wait long, but it really has grown out a lot um from where she did have it. Okay, and then make sure you guys that the head isn't tilted down. Err up. It'S just um just straight this way. If you have it down on you cut when you lift up you're, going to have short hair so just make sure that that head is lifted up. I do angle down a tiny bit in front just to keep her front a little bit longer: okay, yeah! I'M going to come to this side and then just go from this middle point. Just trim that over okay - sorry, I'm over here now, okay now tell their head and make sure that it's even then again just barely and put your fingers down. So this can be on an angle, okay and then, as soon as I get that bottom line done, I was like to check the front you can check in the mirror. You can go and feel see if that's even this legs, just a tiny bit longer. Okay, then I come up here like I said we have a little bit of a stack um, but not much means it better. Okay, I always hold this hair straight up and we are just trimming so I'm not taking too too much off. Then I like to hold it at a 90 degree angle from the head, okay and then now that we're coming back to this stack, I kind of like to angle it down the tiny tiny bit just to take that off. Okay, then come up here to your guide point again mighty degree angle, and I think the main thing about growing a haircut out is some people think they don't need to cut their hair when they're growing it out because they're growing it out. So they think if they cut it, that it won't grow out um, but that's wrong if you can trim it every six weeks. That'S your best bet to grow it out, um faster, so make sure you keep your hair trimmed if you're growing it out. Okay, just pull that 90-degree angle, then, on your side I always like to pull them back, so they fall longer. Okay, so now we're going to come and do this side, you can section your hair out too, if you'd like, if it's easier for you, I'm just used to just kind of putting the other hair out of the way so you're more than welcome to just section It off, if you like, we also put highlights in my hair. Yes, yes, we did put highlights in her hair um yeah, not this time last time be good. Okay, I just take like a little halo section right up here, pull this all up and you're going to make sure that this is even up here. I'M going to just point cut into this just so it's not so so straight! Okay and now I'm going to take this front section up and go with this guide point. This is the layering. This is where the layer starts. Okay, you can see where these layers are and where her friend is we like your front lawn so you're, going to angle it up a tiny bit, so you don't take a lot off so it falls longer in the front. Okay, then you bring your other section up with that. Okay, in the section on this side, okay, then part about where the person parts their hair, the analyze parts it this way. Okay, now I'm going to take from in front of her ear and the back just take a section and I'm going to hold this straight out. You kind of see this little corner here, I'm just going to kind of chop into that. A tiny gap then lift up a little bit and chop into that. Okay, again, I'm going to take the whole front now hold that out. You can pull up a little bit more okay. So then, I'm going to come to this side same thing: I'm combing, her ear. Sorry, okay, jump into that, and you come up between bit more. This is just so. You don't have a big bulky one, and we did that too. The highlights we put highlights in and we did it at the end of winter, just to kind of help get ready for spring, but also um, because I was growing my hair out and you don't get the thrill of a new haircut and how fun that feels. But the highlights kind of helped take the place of that, and so I had something new something different, even though my hair was not overly different yeah, it definitely helps change things up yeah. So if you don't want to chop your hair off and you want change, just cut it color or color, I know if you don't cut it, colored, okay and we always do a swooping on the end and I just like to hold hers down and come up And then just angle down and just kind of chop into them. Okay, can I just bring this hair up to the side and just connect that, with the hair to the side, just angle, it down a little bit? Okay, perfect! If you want a thicker beam, you can hold that up and then kind of chop into that and they'll short, those shorter hairs will lay on that longer hairs. So we'll be morbid. That'S a pain! Okay! Now I'm going to show you that we do. This is another thing I think is: texture is really big when you're growing your hair out, because you're you sound short and full, so texture is huge when you're growing your hair out. I really need help. Sometimes, okay, you can see where that bends. That'S where the weight of your hair is so go ahead and texture up through there. Okay take another section: you don't want to do this in a part where ever you part your hair or close to any of your the hairline. You don't want to do that. Just only the bulky spots - okay and you're - going to find, if you part on one side, it can be heavier on the other side. Just because all that hair is laying there. So I am going to get the in a little bit more texture and thinning out through this area, just because she's going to have more hair on the side to have to deal with. So I'm just can do that a little bit weren't just see where that bends you just go in there and jump away by the way my thinning shears, you can get all sorts of different sizes and this one's a little bit more spread apart. Usually there pretty pretty close, but it's just your personal preference, whatever you like to do, and now what we're going to do we're going to do another video so check that out of how we style, dance, hair and let us not have any questions about haircut.

Boys And Girls Hairstyles: Thanks so much for the nice comments! She is growing her hair out 1 to 2 more inches on the length and grow the layers out a little bit longer throughout the interior of the haircut. She wants to keep the layers to give it some volume. Hopefully that answered your question.... Thanks for asking!!!

ljjanko: Great tips! Love all your videos. Just wondering what the spacing or teeth means for texurizing scissors? Like in your scissors, there is less teeth, does that mean less hair is being cut? Thanks again :)

ruti461: So great to see someone taking as much pride in their work as you do! You are a real artist. This is the haircut I have always wanted and never been able to get at any salon. For whatever reason, they just can't seem to do it. My hair is very straight like your sister-in-law's hair but no one can seem to do the stacking and the layering correctly.

Brittany Swanton: Hello! I’m growing out a bob too ... and I have an undercut. What’s the best way to grow that back part out ? We keep cutting the bottom but now it looks like a mushroom... it’s very thick on the ends and looks like a triangle ... how can this be fixed / how should I grow it out ? Thanks so much ....

marsmary1: I m so happy I just yesterday found your channel. I am a diy beauty girl and love learning new things so thank you so much for posting all of these vids. What kind of hair cut is she trying to grow her hair into? Thank you for your time.

ljjanko: Thank you so much! Looking forward to more videos :)

DomBarber: love your tutorials hope you will continue to post

RebeccasRoses: I wish I lived by your salon I would come in! I love your videos!

Boys And Girls Hairstyles: Thanks for your sweet comment! If the texturizing sheers have a bigger space it will leave more hair rather than the sheers with more teeth witch would take out more of the hair. Thanks for being interested in our videos!!!

Joy Jackson: I'm trying to grow my hair out from a short hair cut. I'm at the stage where it he a part ND it looks flat on my head all the time. how do i get it to where it doesn't look flat? my hair is thick but lazy. I do straighten it cause it's really frizzy without straighten it.

Lane BT: You are good at cutting someone's hair when they don't want a lot off. I am scared to go to another hair dresser because every time I go they wack my hair off so short. I want to grow my hair out and it's already grown a lot. I want to get my layers ends snipped and my length snipped just a little bit. I just don't trust anyone with my hair anymore.

Boys And Girls Hairstyles: Thanks! What tips were you looking for?
