Diy Long Braid | Neat No Knot Method | Kaila Kake

Hey guys, my name is Kelly cake over to my channel. So today I'm gon na be showing y'all how I got this braid. Okay, she's not chunky at the top, not no big chunky, not just a seamless, beautiful, braid. Okay, actually board this. In my fancy foundation. Review the new hydrating foundation, so you ever watch that check out up here but um yeah. If people are asking me like, oh my god, how did you do the braid? What color hair are using? Because you guys know I have a very unique type of hair? Color, so it's kind of hard for me to find braiding hair weave that matches my hair, even box dye, okay, to down my weave, so I can get some inches, but, surprisingly enough, I found hair that actually sort of matches. It'S a little bit lighter as you can see, but it matches pretty pretty good. It'S like the perfect. It'S not super heavy either. I kind of show you guys how I get the perfect slip down as well, because y'all know I got a lot of hair okay, so I show you guys how I get a nice sleek slicked down and then a nice bright as well. So I just went out and like wash my hair, I don't really want like Co washed it. I guess, and I dried it in a t-shirt. I always dry my hair in a t-shirt in a towel, just because I don't know it just my hair likes being dried in a t-shirt. I feel like when I dried in its how it just gets a little too dry and brittle so yeah. Basically, what we're gon na do is put my hair in a ponytail first. So what I'm gon na start off with is just some eco styler gel. This is the one that I use in a little yellow bucket. I guess - and I really just be going in okay like I - do not use a certain amount. I literally use as much as I need to and if that's the whole jar it's the whole jar. Okay, also, don't forget to get the back, because you want that to be pretty slick, because I am doing kind of like a high ponytail, so that kitchen girl make sure she is nice and boobs leak. Okay, all right! I'M gon na take my fingers and kind of like guide my hair in that direction, because sometimes, like my hair can just it can be smooth on top but like what's under, like the smooth top layer is like not smooth, so I want my you know. I wanted to just be as late as possible, so I'm gon na go ahead and go with my fingers just because it's a little bit more gentle than a brush or a comb or anything and just kind of guide. My fingers well kind of go. Not my fingers but guide the hair. Alright. Now that I got most of that out of the way with my fingers, I'm gon na take my Denman brush and I'm gon na use that not too smooth, but just to kind of finish up that job of getting everything going one direction. So, as you can see, one of my hair is basically dry. It was in a t-shirt for about like two hours. I was doing things, but I do want it to be dry. So when I brush it out, it's like poofy like this, so that it matches the braiding hair them all right. So we're almost like into pony tail stage, I'm gon na take a little bit more tail and just make sure that everything is laying and down. Okay. I don't need no lumps no bumps, no, nothing. I'M gon na take this boar bristle brush. It'S like a hard brush and start to smooth everything in the direction. I want it. These, like steps before I put it in a ponytail, really helps me not to have to keep like say if I put in a pony tun, I don't like it and not to take it out and then redo my pony tail. This kind of prevents that I found so I like to kind of mold everything going the way that I really want it to be. So when I pull it into a ponytail, it's like I don't have to keep redoing my pony tail. Does that make sense. Curly girls already know what I'm talking about and if I see any lumps I will go back in with my Denman brush and just smooth it out one more time. I really alternate between the two type of brushes and that really gets me a good like smooth snatch. Basically, so it's looking pretty good, I'm just gon na like smooth out whatever, but I'm gon na go ahead and put it in a ponytail honestly. I can't like do it sitting down so hard to stand up, but I'm gon na try my best to get in the frame, but it's really hard. Okay, like I got ta, stand up and put like manpower into my buns and my ponytails cuz. I have a lot of hair and whew. Okay, all right, so everything is all like slick. I need your moment of silence. Okay cuz. I just needed to like focus and really do it. I feel like when I'm talking. I can't like think straight. I don't know. I just couldn't do it, I couldn't do it, so this is a hair that I use the rust off free and the color 12, and this matches my hair, like almost okay, like almost a lot of people, are asking me about the ponytail that I had in The Fenty review video and I also posted a picture on my Instagram everybody's asking me about ponytails, so just had to do this video and share with you guys, which hair I was using, but I will link the website that I got this from down below. It'S not like an official type of website, it's kind of like I don't know, I don't know I just randomly found it on like a random website, like I've never heard this website before it's not like your Sally's or nothing like that, like I have not seen This hair anywhere okay, so I had to order it off this like random website, so I don't link it down below. But like says I don't like I don't know it might be, it's got your website, it might not be, but if it's not shout out to them, I just never heard of it before I just typed this in and found it on that website. So, there's that you guys are gon na see it's like a little bit too light, but it matches almost perfectly so I do use two packs of that. As you can see, the end are not feather at all, so you have to feather this knot. It doesn't come preferred that part is very tedious but, like I said I've done this before so I already have it's pretty feathered, and this is what feathered hair looks like it's not like blunt or anything. So here is two packs of hair to a packs of that hair. I went ahead in split it into three sections, so this will be one section, and this will be two and three, so I usually just keep two and three together and I take the third section and I loop it. So I just basically put my hand through this. Take this one side and I loop it like that. So now the loot part becomes one, you just join it back together and that becomes one equal section. This is one section, and this is the other section. So now you have three sections: aka, I'm getting ready to a braid, so three sections, okay. So what I'm going to do is just make sure that these sections stay as separate it's kind of hard when you have big poofy hair. So what I'm gon na do is just lay this. On top. This can go with this section. Just can go with the back section, and this can go with that section. So I'm just gon na pick up my hair and the braiding hair. So what I did was just make sure that the knot is one the top and then I'm just going to start the raining. Okay, I'm literally just gon na star braiding and it's kind of hard, because my sections are big because, like I said, I have a lot of hair, but you just smooth along the way: you'll be fine. Okay! So now I'm starting to get to the end of my hair. So what I want to do is make sure that is basically tucked. So, basically, all that means is just making sure that the braiding hair is on top. You see how my hair is on top of this section. I want to switch that around so that now, when I braid my hair will not stick out like my ends, won't stick out so basically just push the braiding hair on top and keep braiding, and just do that on every section. As you can see, my hair is not sticking out anywhere. It'S like perfectly tough in there. I'M just gon na keep braiding and I'm, but I'm gon na actually get like more loose so that it can match up here. Cuz up here it's bit chunky because it has my hair in the braiding hair down. Here is just a braiding hair. So, as you can see my clearly my sections, I've gotten a little uneven, so I'm gon na borrow hair and all I'm doing is. I will usually put my finger right here to grab the other section, but I'm gon na put it through here just took borrow hair and keep braiding. I'M gon na do it again, but I would usually grab here, but since this section has more hair, I'm gon na push my finger here and just keep going, and if you want it to be longer, you can just feed in hair. You can keep feeding it in, but I think this is a good length honestly. I don't want it too too long right now, so we'll just keep on braiding down through to the bottom, and there is my Brady so now keep in mind where the end of your hair is you don't want to fluff it there? You want to fluff it right below that, so that basically means just pulling it to you, sticking it up just so that it matches. In the first time I did it. I thought it's gon na be really really hard, but it's not hard at all. Y'All, it's just the prep and getting your hair and a very solid ponytail, and just all that, but honestly it's really not that hard. So I will be doing these a lot more okay and I kind of want to experiment with hairstyles with this braiding hair. Now that I have found something that kind of matches my hair so yeah, hopefully you guys like the tutorial and let me know if you tried the brand the brand of the braiding hair, that I tried. I'Ve never tried them before, but look it's marking for me.
