So I actually start off by putting edge control on her hair before I part it - and I saw this on a lot of the hair braiding videos that I watched so I figured they must do it for a reason and it actually did help a lot with Part in her hair and keeping it together because I've braided her hair before and her hair texture, I guess, is so silky that it really does not want to like clump together and stick together. The way that textured hair does so that really really helped clump the hair, together after putting the edge control. I started to twist the hair and again in attempts to keep her hair together. As like one piece you when I got down to the bottom of the braid, I kind of tried to like twist the hair a little bit and attempts to tuck her hair within the braid in here, because the straight ends really likes to stick out on lots And when, at the end, when you're, like kind of grooming and cleaning it up, you don't want to be clipping their ends off. You know how some people clip the stray hairs off of the braids you're, actually clipping that person's ends. So I didn't want to do that, so I just tried to tuck her ends as best as I could, but I am NOT a professional, so I didn't do a very good job at tucking as you could, as you saw so here, I'm just trying to show You how I prep the hair and attach it so I take one side of the braiding hair and split it in two and twist it around, so that it becomes my three sections and I take one of those split pieces and I actually use that to attach It to her hair, it did take me multiple tries trying to attach the braided hair to her hair without it slipping. I tried different techniques tore at the bottom like when I first started and a lot of them didn't work. I even tried to use rubber bands which everything kind of just slipped down and made the braid super loose. So you want to keep trying until you figure out what works for you, you you you you you now, I'm just doing the end stuff, which is definitely in hot water, to seal the ends, and I did notice when I was editing like especially this part. There are a lot of ends that I should have reread it because they had already begun to unravel so yeah that at the time I don't know why I couldn't. I didn't really see it. Maybe I was tired because this took like a super long time longer than either one of us actually expected, but I really should have gone in and reread those ends because they didn't start to unravel even more as like the week went one. So these are the results. I hope you enjoyed. Thank you for watching and I hope to see you in the next video

Kathy Vettraino: I wish I could get this done. Braids like this are so beautiful. Thank you for the video!

Lady Dior: As a white woman I guarantee you that we don't do it because we want to be black or because we want to steal it from you. We do it because it's a comfortable and protective style that also looks beautiful at the same time. Here are some reasons why I wear box braids as a white woman: 1. It helps me see & reach my scalp to oil it.its all nicely separated and I can oil every section. (for growth) 2. When a white person puts oil in their hair it makes us look like we haven't washed our hair for months. Our hair does not absorb or rather the oil doesn't blend as good as someone with curly hair. It just looks wet and oily. Box braids help to hide that 3. Box braids also allow me to hide a bad haircut, a bad dye job or damage. 4. My hair is super freezy so it helps hide that as well and it's perfect for rainy days and vacations at the beach or humid weather! 5. Its a protective hairstyle. So no damage! 6. I don't need to wonder how to style my hair every single day... It already us! 7. Its out of my face, especially when you want to wear a lip gloss on a windy day its very handy! Straight hair literally goes right in your mouth lol 8. It's just comfortable! I don't have to do anything!!!! Some misconceptions about white people wearing box braids: 1. That we will go bald - only if the extensions are too big and heavy or if the knot up top is done too tight then yes, obviously but most of the time we do the opposite of that or the hairstylist will do the opposite to suit our hair type! I've worn box braids for a year now and my hair is thicker and longer than what I've started with. I had a terrible bleach job last year and box braids saved me!!! History: If you Google Bulgarian or tibetian braids you will see that they are similar to box braids with the exception that it doesn't start from the scalp and isn't separated neatly. My family and ancestors would add hair from their horse not only for leght and thickness but also because horses are sacret animals in our culture. We put gold coins in our hair for wealth and protection from bad spirits. And wrap our scalp with scarfs for even more protection from the sun, because our people used to work outside in the fields and garden 24/7

Military Meagan: Wow this is so gorgeous. It looks really easy to maintain too which is what I’m lookin for.

Tasha G: You were brave for putting this up. Prepare yourself lol. Nice video

SarahIdinaPhreakx3: I've been doing my own braids for the past two years due to covid and recently a stranger complimented mine and asked me if I could do theirs. I've never done someone else's hair before! Can you use Xpressions kanekalon hair for Caucasian hair?

Carmen Acuna: Thank you!! Finally getting a video actually show low to place the extension in.

Aanshi: Good job. Love the hairstyle. Hope she liked it

SweetP: Some Mega hold gel, wax, or spiking glue on the ends of her hair would have helped hold the strays into the braid

The Maulana Show: Omg yea so cute. For that hair type I would suggest smaller braids so they stay in longer.I suggest micro braids for first timers and MAKE SURE THEY GET YOUR EDGES or it will fall out

Alicia Holder: you braided it good, but what you should have done is braid the hair in layers so that it wouldn't look scanty nor see the parts. it still looks good.

Tashawnda Hall: Great Job ! I Love It ♥️

WARDE Kamati: This is super awesome I love it

Tanya Dubey: Do you have to add extensions? (On straight hair)

Esra Başaran: It is great❤️ i just wanted to ask you a question... I am a white woman and I do love black people and their culture. I have also box braids but i was so not sure if i should have them. Because i was afraid if black women would be mad at me... Because i read some blogs where they say that black women hate when white women get box braid... What is your opinion? Best regards and love❤️

Nicole K: Beautiful

Ben Pate: Thank you so much(:

Heyyy Lmao: I get box braids are for thicker more coarse hair but if you do do them on white girl hair is there any sort of tips or methods to ensure there isn’t any serious hair loss or serious breakage or maybe even doing jumbo braids

thesupermom1975: Viking women rocked some very cool braids. Would love to see the braid extensions, but do it in a viking style. Pirate style? Ooooo.... blue & green braids in an alien style like 5th element opera chick. Hair is such an interesting medium for art. And you, ma'am, are an artist!

Heather Chambley: Sorry for this question but How long does it take so box braid? I’m white and 14 years old and I want to get my hair done with box braids one day but before I do I want to know how long it’s gonna take!

BlackWomenMatter Too!: Beautiful

Ashlynn Owen: I know this is an old video but I recently got box braids and a lot of people said my hair would fall out then I noticed my scalp had irritation so I oil on my scalp a few days later I got painful red bumps around my hair line and through out my head what do you think is causing it and what do you think I could do to keep it from happening

nelli: do i have to put extensions on if i braid caucasian hair?
