Guys this guy's - and today I am back with another video. This video is actually a technique that I showed you guys how to do last October and I'm kind of like remaking the video. What I'm in that video. I had no idea that it was going to become the most viewed video on my channel. Today. That'S really really cool. I thought I'd make a new, updated version of that video helpful you better quality and a better technique, and also I am using crochet braids that I actually like. I said verbally in that video that I did before that. I did not like the crochet braids that I was using and it's because I really did not like them so today, I'm using some crochet braids that I actually love and they come from a person that I absolutely adored. So these crochet braids are actually made by a famous youtuber. You guys may or may not have heard of her. She goes by the name of beauty can braid on YouTube if you are not with it, get with it. She'S like this top stylist on YouTube. So definitely check out her channel. I will have that link down below and she has her own company, I'm so happy for her and proud of her, and I also really enjoyed supporting black owned businesses and buying black. Whenever I can so definitely check out her hair store. I will put that information down below the crochet braids that I have in right now are the color hombres 1b cranberry, so they go from like 1b to this really pretty burgundy color. I absolutely love the color of these. They look really natural at the end. They actually go down past my waist they're really long, but I absolutely loved them. She has a ton of different colors you could choose from and she also has crochet locs and some other items as well. I have approximately 50 crochet braids in my head right now. So these are a lot smaller than the ones I did prior, and I know I had a lot of requests for that. To use smaller brain the small other crochet breaks, the smallest sections needs to be alright ciao. Let'S go ahead and jump right into the tutorial, so I want to be showing you guys, two different examples on camera and I've already done the rest of my hair. This is the section that I'm going to be working with so before doing any protective style. You really want to make sure that your hair is moisturized, so I just grabbed the moisturizer of my choice. I will link it down below if anyone's interested in it. I was going to put that all over my section of hair and then I'm going to split the hair section in half and try to get a nice clean part. I'M just putting me part that I'm not working with right now and clipping it out of the way and then we're going to do a regular three strand, braid, nothing, fancy just a regular braid. So towards the end, you can actually two strand twist. You don't have to braid all the way down. That also makes this style a lot easier to remove as well. So I want to do the same exact thing to the other section, and I have my two braids, so I just made now here is the box braid, I'm just going to get the crochet loop part open as wide as I can just kind of put it On my finger and then you're going to grab your crochet hook and I'm going to insert the crochet hook underneath the base of the braid and I'm going to attach the crochet loop on the crochet braid and go ahead and pull that through. And then you can do it two different ways. The first way I'll show you is to pull it through one at a time. This may be a little bit easier, because sometimes we try to pull it both at the same time it can get stuck. Please just pull both through the loop and then go ahead and tighten that at the base get it nice and tight. And now you have both side by side. So now I'm grabbing my crochet hook open and I'm going to go down and grab the braids that remain close, the latch hook and then pull it through now on the opposite end of the braid, I'm going to go through the crochet braid again and do the Exact same thing, grab the braid and then pull it through, and I'm going to continue this pattern she's, basically going in and out in and out weaving it up and down, or I guess side to side depending on how you want to look at it all the Way down until I cannot grab my real hair anymore, you, this is how it looks when it's all done. I definitely recommend using crochet braids that are the same color as your hair or doing an ombre color like this, so that the roots match and just to get rid of some of the frizziness. You can do one of two things: I'm using some scissors just to kind of clip away any frizzy ends or you can grab some gels and just rub it on your hands. I'Ll have any on mine hands right now, because I did the scissor method, but you just rub that down to get rid of the flyaways. If you have any so now, the second way, so I'm going to show you how to do this, you're going to start off the exact same way. It'S the first time, except this example here, as you can see, I was able to grab both the crochet braids and my braid at the same time and pull it through so after tightening that at the base, what I'm going to do is go down about as Far as you think, your real hair is like, so I think this is a little bit longer than my real hair. So I'm going to start here and then what you're going to do with the crochet hook, open you're, going to kind of weave your way in and out all the way up, the crochet braid. So this is kind of a more advanced way. I wasn't able to do this technique for the back of my head, because I really need it to be able to see what I was doing. So I did this technique for the front of my head and then the last technique for the back. But if you have somebody doing this for you, this is definitely a very easy and a much faster way to get this done. But you just have to be able to see what you're doing and have a good handle on the crochet hook. So once you get all the way up to the top there you're just going to grab the braid towards the end of the braid mat towards the root, because you don't want to get the braid stuck going down. So once you grab it on there close the latch hook and then go ahead and pull the hair through the center of the braid. Basically, that's all you're doing it can be a little bit hard at first, but eventually it will get in there. And then you just want to kind of smooth out the braid so that it can grab your hair so yeah, and that is it for the second way there. It looks the same as the first, but it was a lot faster and this is how the root looks. That looks pretty much like regular box braids. That is pretty much it you guys. I split this style into two days because I have a hard time sitting down doing one thing for a long time, so I actually sectioned my hair and did my individual braids on day one and then on day, two I went ended the crochet braids. So the amount of time it took total was probably around 6 hours or so that's because I do have 50 braids. So if you do have larger braids it'll be a lot shorter than that all right. You guys like it for this video. I hope that you guys did enjoy if you did just go ahead and give it a thumbs up. That really helps me out and lets me know you guys enjoyed the video also. I have a removal video already out from the last video I did doing this tech rules and that video shows you guys tune of the ways to remove this side. I think a lot of movie surprise it just how easy it is to remove individual crochet braids. So be sure to check that out, if you have any questions regarding the removal process also go ahead and subscribe to my channel. If you are not already don't forget to keep on cleaning and I'll see on the next video bye.

When I removed the crochet braids and started undoing the smaller braids I made I was getting an insane amount of breakage no matter how much conditioner I used. I only had the braids in for a month. I love this technique because it's free (hello cheaper styles) and it's something I can actually do. But that breakage scared me from trying it again
