Hey guys what up I am home in my apartment, filming now for good. I, it feels really good, I feel more comfortable. I got the lighting right. I got camera klenzrite mic right. Everything is good. So a lot of you have been asking me about my new hair on Instagram. I got some new hair going on. I got these tree braids that it did over the weekend. I can't tell you how long it took me because lost track, but I use human hair this time. So it is super versatile. I can curl it. I can crimp it. I can straighten it. I can do whatever I can wash it. It'S all good. It'S super long, so it goes about to my waist but waist length may be my go to my, but actually I stretch it, but I'm loving it. I am absolutely it's just like. Ah so easy, it's literally so easy to put it bun. You can do all types of wizardry with it right, so I am going to get into the specs of the hair and then I'm gon na show you a demo on how I braid it's super easy. So much more simple than you probably think it is, and I hope you guys give it a try. So for the hair I used about four packages of this Janek collection resilient, scent natural in number four, and this is 24 inches, so you could see it's just wet. Did human hair. I got the least expensive human hair that I could find because I didn't want synthetic anymore. I wanted to be able to curl and do all types of different things with it, but I also didn't want to spend a ton of money because you know a bundle. Could cost you anywhere between you know 75 to of whatever you know, so I tried to get it really nice and cheap so that the hairstyle wasn't so expensive. So I used four packages of the number four. I used one package of a 27 and then I used one package of a 30, so you're gon na need about about maybe seven packages. I used two 3227 mixed in the front just so I could have some like really natural highlighting. I didn't want it to look too too much too blonde to anything really. I just wanted it to look very similar to my own natural hair color and then I feel like the ends get a little bit lighter. I don't really know why it's not like an hombre or anything like that, but I feel, like you, get a little bit more of the lightness towards the end of the hair. So when you have a website v, then you want to get the hair off. It'S really complicated. Okay, it's like it's so hard. It takes so much skill and it's just like it's really a really mind bubble top kidding. But I got you you just got cut it off. Did you cut the hair off the weft? You might get a little hairs like a little extra hairs at the top from when the left fold it over and sewed on, but yeah. That'S that's. Basically, that's! Basically all you have to do so. I basically just finger to tangle it. This is a lot for just one section, so you might want to use a little bit less, but just want to show you how you get it off the weft. So once you do get it off, the left where you're gon na do is you're gon na fold, the hair right in half and then you're gon na start tugging on the ends, and this is gon na help to elongating this little section. So just hold up the center and then just pull at the ends and then you'll get something like this nice and long and tapered, and you can stretch it as long as you want. But if you start it too much, it's just going to split in half. Basically so yeah just mind, mind yourself, I say about here: is good that'll be the length of my hair, so I'm starting with this section, that's about this size so about half an inch by half an inch, and I like to use this as I am Twista Finding curl cream on just my freshly washed hair, I feel like it does everything I need you. It gives me a little bit of definition. It moisturizes my hair so and it's tangles really well, so I'm gon na take this comb fine-tooth comb just to make sure I don't have any tangles and then what I'm gon na do is just part my hair in half. So I have two parts and then I'm gon na take my extension hair fold it in half and then I'm gon na take one half of my hair apply the extension hair and then grab my real hair and then pull the extension hair around. So I have this sort of loopy thing going on, but this middle part is that it act as its own a little section. This is gon na act as his own little section, and then these two just merge together and then you just start braiding like you. Normally would and then, when you get to the end of your real hair, close to it just borrow from the section that's closest to it and then just let it go. So here is another little section just like that. Another small section I'm gon na take some of that twisted finding cream work that through my hair and then we get the extension hair. I'M gon na put that on one half and then loop again and then just start braiding like you normally would and then let it go so yeah. That'S basically how I do my braids. It typically lasts for about three to four weeks, because my hair grows so fast. I get a lot of new growth, looks crazy as hell, so your hair might last a little longer than mine if you take really good care of it, but, like I said it only lasts me about three or four three or four weeks and then I'm on To the next thing anyway, so let me know what you guys think I hope it's straightforward and easy to follow. Let me know if you have any questions, and I guess we'll see you guys next time,

MyLifeMyJourneys: I don't think I can purchase 7 packs of human hair for these braids, but they are cute! Kinda like the way Zoe Kravitz wears her hair!

sofia: Wow!! This style looks amazing on you!!! You explained how to do it really well and made it so easy to follow. Your videos are always such a pleasure to watch! Kisses

Imani Spencer: I LOVE it! And your happiness is evident! I've kept up with your videos since you opened up about not feeling like you were staying true to yourself since your last move, and you seem to have so much more joy! Happy for you girl! Thanks for the video

Salaan Sare: I love this....It gives a beautiful twist to tradition braids. The top of your hair braided flat is beautiful since its not bulky it can give the appearance of "slick back straight hair" and it looks nice thrown into a bun and even better down. Reminds me of megan goods curly locks. Definetly beautiful with more stlye options. Ive never had braids were I had hair added but when I do in the future ill reference this style.

Nonalola: Finally cut my hair and can't wait to do this next week. This is the best tutorial I could find for a full look. All of the other Zoe Kravitz inspired hairstyles look so thin in density and are typically not for the tree braid style. Thanks so much for this!

K Marie: Love it! My cousin calls them tree braids as well. In the shop she got hers done originally, the lady used these sized braids in the front of "traditional" tree braids so when she started doing her own, the name stuck. They look really really good

Zarina Patricia: Soo beautiful Jaleesa! Whenever you do some type of braids, I always want to do it! love you

FarlyCreates: Your styles are always so gorgeous and flattering on you! Your natural hair is getting so long!

Kimala23: Jaleesa, beautiful!! You ARE my hair MUSE!!!! Thank you for taking the time to make and share this video :)

Sarah AAA: I braid and twist my hair myself because of you! Thank you!!

2TWINS 1CAM: *We are loving your videos lately! And this look was very snatched, girl!* ✨

Steva Giles: Thank you! I have watched a lot of braiding videos and yours was the simplest way to braid individuals

Mrs. FancyFitz: Very cute! I definitely did this style but crochet in the center, saved time and made it more of a curly look.

Ma Briane: I am loving these braid looks you're doing girl!

TheCurlyFitChic: I love this style. My hair is about the same length as your braids and I've tried braiding with synthetic hair because every other video I have ever watched showed braids done with synthetic hair. When I tried my hair broke off and I didn't do it tight. I think it was because it was synthetic. So glad to see this video and will look to see if they have this brand with 26" or 28". Wish I could do this style though. Looks so great on you!

Ferre Alysse: This style looks amazing on you!

Youline Silgnena Real Estate: Love, love this. I am definitely going to try

Ingrid As In Bergman: Yay! We missed you, Jaleesa. Love these braids on you. Gorgeous!

Luna J: Great tutorial on this. I,m inspired to try it now

JCB WRITES: This is the 3rd time I have tried to braid my own hair. Your method was the easiest. I did use synthetic hair and I notice things were thin even though I made the braids really small. ANYONE HAVE ANY TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE IT MORE FULL?

Shaina15: It looks so good on you and your skin ✨

Jasmine Airdelle: This was the easiest explanation of braiding!!

Robyn Abreu: This is beautiful! I was cautious to click on the video because I thought I would know what the hairstyle would be, kind of like a crochet style. But I love it, especially because you said you can wash it & curl it. I think this is going to be my next next style I reallllyyyyyy likessss this girl. You have inspired meeee totallyyyyy. I could talk about this all day lool it looks beautiful

Deb wright: ☺️☺️☺️Jaleesa, thanks! for this video. It helped me with what I wanted to do. Thank you! You look fabulous!

RareTruth lifestyle: I just love this style on you definitely will be doing this

Brenna Fletcher: girl, THANK YOU. i have been trying and failing for literally years to do this style on my own without the braids slipping out and this was the first explanation that finally made me understand

Chatina's Beauty: I think my real hair is too long to do this style. But i love it, it looks really easy! You look good

Tyler Owens: How long should your hair be to do these braids? Also, how do you keep the braids in without worrying about the braids unraveling? I am so going to try this hairstyle, but my hair rn is around 10 inches 4 a hair

Keshia Breaux: Thanks for the tips you did a great job on the hairstyle

Chelsea Dannielle: This style looks great on you!

N S: We have the exact same lip shape! Seriously, it's rare to see someone with a smile like mine. You're beautiful!

Vanessa Trotter: I DO THOSE ALL THE TIME THEY LOOK GREAT ON YOU!

Kamesha Moore: Your skin is just glowing ✨

Barbi's Mom: Very inspirational video, very beautiful girl...thank you for the video. ❤️

Johanne Duroy: a tutorial on this look please! ✨

Vallenane: Aww your hair looks so good! I'm thing of trying out some braids some time soon!

Areana Sanchez: Wow you look gorgeous! Missed seeing u with long hair again. Also please do a tutorial on this look it's so nice.

Queen.of.the.Geeks: This new style is gorgeous! I love that it isn't braided all the way to the end. Question: Did you do your whole head yourself? How did you do the back?

Chanel Tolmachov: Your hair looks beautiful did it unravel at the ends because it’s human or did any braids slide out? I’d love to try this style my hair is natural too.

Sophia J: This hairstyle is so beautiful

GApeech08: Looks good, very becoming! If I braided my hair, I wouldn't put any products on my hair before I braid. Products like creams make it difficult to braid as they make the hair wet and slippery. The braid may be too loose and the extension may slip out over time. The braids won't last. Creams may also cause flakey buildup. A light oil sheen spray after braiding and as needed works better.

Esther V Lopez: Amazing job thank you for the tutorial I'm gonna try it wish me luck. My friend said her brains were really hard to take apart after a couple of weeks how did u take your hair down just unbraiding it if it's not too tangled that's my question thank you so much.

Lorena Hoogsteden: These are so pretty! How do you keep them from unraveling though? Do you tie a knot at the end of the braid?

Maria C: This is awesome. I will do this with synthetic hair (small pieces). Or maybe really cheap bundles if I find them.

Danielle Broadnex: I am loving this..... My August Vacation hairstyle!!! :D

Moriah: Wow I was stressing about how I would find braiding hair to do this , I never realized you can just cut the hair off of the weft!!

Buttasxxotch: I just found 100% blend in 36” im going to try thanks for the tip !!!

Tre: You are sooooo pretty Jaleesa! Love the hair!

Monique Webb: It looks great!! I gotta try this

Terrill: You’re gorgeous Love the hair

Chillax: It's so lovely

Coco Renaee: natural beautyyy omgg you make anything look good on you! everything you do is effortless

shineslikeBre: I want to make this my long term hairstyle. I don't mean keep it in for hella long but you keep up this hairstyle

Naturally Breezy: I used always braid my hair like this back in college (2001) but got lazy and started doing kinky twists

Joe thompson: Could your next video be about how you maintain it and how you can style it!! Its really beautiful! // B

Rii x: She is so gorgeous

Mariah Smith: Did you order the hair online? If so can you please tell us what website

Indiegirl007: That color looks so good on you.

Prophetess Lady Of Wisdom: What a very pretty young lady and I love the braids too. 3-4 weeks? Heck, no I'm leaving those things in at least 2 months for real. Lol

DIAMOND B: I love this! Please share where you ordered the hair from! Much appreciated!

House of farts: I'm watching moesha and she has her hair like this and I want to do my hair like this BUT the only thing stopping me is the process of taking it out

MonicaStyle Muse: Girl!!! you look amazing!!! xoxoxo

msdoza: so happy to see someone else use weft hair....great pick and drop....love it

Charmaine Espeut: I love it!

Ashley Parker: This video was posted in my birthday last year. I think I may do this still for the summer in July. Thanks

binusida: What do you do with the extensions after you remove them. Can you rebride them again?

Aundrya Tisdel: Love this look! But just wondering about it unbraiding and hair falling out. Did your hair unravel at all and or any tips to help keep it braided? *sorry if youve already answered this question*

Karene Gilmore: Love this❤️❤️❤️

Victoria Shay: She don't even need hair with a face like that

Cottoncandy Majin Bae: I love this

danaedaily: How did you get the soft wave look? I know the hair comes straight but I want that wavy look! So gorgeous

Jasmynn Anderson: Lol yes let’s bring destiny’s child hair back! I love this lol

Vicky M: Hmm i thought tree braids were braided cornrows with hair being left out as you go down to create a "weave" looking effect. My sister used to get it. But nonetheless, this style is super cute! I'd try it if my hair wasn't so long.

Stacy Allen: These braids are beautiful. I would like to attempt it, but would like to know how you kept the braids from unraveling. I would hate to invest money in human hair and have the braids come apart. Thanks!

Katrina Stanford: This is the first time I have watched those steps and could not only actually see what you were doing, but I finally get it!!! Now I just need a guinea pig to work on....

Tona Firnges: Were they 100 gram bundles or 50 grams? I love the way you did them it's a beautiful style it looks more natural this way. How do you stop the braids from unraveling?

Bianca Ortega: First off I just wanted to say I love all your videos and hairstyles! where did you get the hair? Thanks!

Etceterotic: I love it! Very cute. It's expensive but eh.

Jo: Yay for filming at home again And u look great, love the hair

Safiya McCullough: Love it

Sun Sunu: Jessica, how you ensure that they won't unravel?

Shuvai M.: Finally the true way of doing braids. Use human hair

Layemi M: Braids look gorgeous on you

blacklily624: Omg Jaleesa I used to wear my hair like this a lot. But I was so lazy I would braid the front half of my head and leave the back and just wear it in a pony hahahahahahah.

Kyra Jewel: will you do a video on these showing different styles you can do with it?

Ella R.: looking stunning

Chrissy Stewart: I want my hair like yours in the video very pretty

MOjo: How do you keep it from unraveling? This would be a problem for me because my hair is so soft.

Jess A: Came here so fast and now i have a new summer hairstyle

Brittany Boutarfa: How do you get the braids not to unravel at the end? I'm having trouble with that.

Isabelle-Alice Joubert: Could you send the link to where you bought them please :) And the hair looks beautiful x

sugamehoney: Amazing

Nonalola: I wish I could do this but my hair is long, so I can't leave the ends unbraided D;

Princess Nyema: Hi, I want to do this style using X-pression hair. How did you get it wavy? Or did the hair come like that?

APRIL DIXON: I cannot find that hair anywhere which means that it has probably been discontinued. Does anyone know where I can find good quality but affordable human hair for this style?

LadyJustice: you are so pretty!!! i was expecting a different technique for your tree braids, lol these are called micro braids here.

ksxnijv: will this last if you do it on natural hair? without extensions

Kimberley Gray: Any recommendations on human hair bundles to buy for this look. Looks like the one you used us discontinued.

Sherri Hinson: I like the fact that your used human hair because the synthetic hair itches my scalp so bad! I want to try this for my Summer vacation. One question, doesn’t it start to ‘unravel’ at all since it’s human hair?

Julia Madison B: Beautiful
