Man Bun With Braid Hairstyle | Easy Braid + Man Bun Tutorial

Hey guys welcome to another video just from jesus barbershop here this is the style we're going for today, it's going to be a bit of a fun one. My hair is finally long enough to put some braids in it. I'M getting kind of bored of just the regular man bun, so we're going to spice it up a little bit. So i'm going to take you through the thought process. I go through when i'm doing this hairstyle for myself and at the very end, take you through a little jesse's barbershop tldr on how to braid. So, let's get into it first thing we're going to do as always is section off the hair, we're going to take the exterior away from the interior and we're going to be working with the exterior first, getting that braid in there get everything else out of the Way and that's the idea behind sectioning is just having a clean workspace, so things don't get in the way. So i'm just taking this last section and basically working with the front quarter of the exterior of my hair here. So once that's sectioned off - and i know where i'm going to be working - we're going to be starting with the braid now, if you don't know how to braid the best way i can describe it, is it's a lot easier than you'd think it would be, but It does take a little bit of practice and, like i said towards the end of the video i'm going to give you a quick demonstration on how to do it, but we're gon na be working with the exterior on the left side getting that into a braid. Just in that front quarter section that we did and then we're gon na be moving on to the other side, where we're gon na be doing the exact same thing so clipping away the interior, so everything's nice and clean getting that braid in on the right side And then i'll end up with the general shape of the style that i'm going for - and this is the hard part the rest is just going to be putting it into a bun which you'll see here in a second. So i've decided to take a third elastic and tie this interior section into its own little bun before i add it to the big bun just to keep things a little bit cleaner. But i realize, after that's probably unnecessary, because now i'm just taking my regular hair tie and adding that interior section to the braided ponytail sections and tying all that into the bun. You see that there and now we're just taking a note from the erin jaeger hairstyle, where we're taking that bun and kind of pulling pieces out to give it a little bit more volume and presence. And if you wanted to finish it up there and leave that bottom section out, you absolutely could, but in this one i'm going to be taking that bottom section and adding it to the bun. You see, i think that looks pretty cool and the last completely optional section here is i'm pulling some pieces out to the front, pulling the braids out a little bit messing it up to give it a little bit more of a disheveled unfinished look which i also Think is pretty cool and now it's time for jesse's barbershops tldr how to braid for complete idiot dummies featuring manny, the aaronjaeger mannequin. So you guys are probably familiar with the concept of a braid. You take three equal strands past the outside one, underneath the middle one and do that over and over again until you got yourself a bit of a braid if you're struggling with this concept and have to have been cool in high school and play basketball. Just think of it as a three-man weave, remember that drill boys, but if you're just starting out, don't think about it too much. It'S really just more of a feel thing and you'll eventually get it with a little bit of practice, but, as you can see, do it in slow motion, so you guys can follow along we're just taking the outside strand, passing it underneath the middle strand. Turning the middle strand into the outside strand and the outside strand into the middle strand, pretty simple right, but you're, probably thinking about at this point, hey this break doesn't look like the one you did in the video. Exactly that's why in this section, we're going to be showing you how to braid on the scalp? It'S basically the exact same concept, but with one extra step. That'S definitely going to confuse you. So, basically, what you're doing is you're, taking that outside strand the exact same way you would with the normal braid, but taking some hair outside of the braid and adding it to that outside strand, which then, of course turns to the middle strand. You take the next outside strand, add some more hair turn that into the middle strand and repeat that process over and over again now this is going to take a little bit of practice and getting used to, but with enough practice and effort, you should be able To figure it out or if you got yourself a girlfriend, you can practice on her too, but no, we don't have girlfriends, but that's okay, because that's what the bros are for and that's why i'm here so, as you can see when you're taking those outside strands And adding them to the braid, it turns itself into a bit of a cornrow, but just a big fat one. Now, if you're doing this on a smaller section, it would turn into exactly a cornrow. So, to finish off this example: i'm just going to continue with the process adding hair from outside the braid into the braid. Until i get to a point where i want to stop the on the scalp braid, you can do this at any point wherever you feel like is right. Basically, the idea is you turn this on the scalp braid into one of those off the scalp braids by just no longer taking sections from the scalp which you'll see here in a second. I know this may look a little bit confusing, but i promise you once you get your hands on your hair and you start figuring it out. It becomes a lot easier. So, as you can see here, just finishing off the braid - and this is when you tie it with just one of those tiny little elastic hair ties and there you go hey guys, thanks for watching hope.
