How To: 3 Easy Braided Hairstyles | Coachella | Luxy Hair

Hey guys and welcome to Lexi hair, my name is Elena for curly. I know I'm a new face on this channel. I feel so honored and privileged to be asked to show you guys some hairstyles on this channel. I feel like braids are super on-trend and they're just everywhere on Instagram and on YouTube, and I know whenever I see some of the pictures I'm like how did they get that braid? It looks so cool, so the three hairstyles that I'm going to show you today. I think are so adjustable. You can wear them on a date night to work to school. Anything like that, they're super wearable and very easy to do. I love wearing Lexi hair extensions. I really wear them for that little bit of extra length, but mostly for volume, because I would have normally thick hair on the top half of my head, but then it goes really really thin and straggly at the bottom. So Lexi hair extensions just make my hair feel full and thicker, and I just love wearing them on almost an everyday basis. What I do is take two of the three Clips wefts and put them at the bottom of my head and then leave a little bit of hair in between and put two of the fork lift wefts a little bit more at the center of my head. And what that does is just add some volume, and it gives me that thickness that I want and, of course, a couple extra inches which you can't complain with. If you guys want to see how I got these three different cool, trending braids, then just keep on watching okay, so the first hairstyle is a middle part braid. I'M super excited to show you guys this hairstyle, because I posted a picture on my Instagram while back, and I had so many requests to show you guys. So I'm excited to show you now here on Lexi channel. So what you're going to do is just go back to the crown of your head and create an inch thick part. So I'm just bringing my two fingers down to my forehead. So you're gon na have a good chunk of hair in the middle of your head. With the rest of your hair, I'm just going to tie it away so that it doesn't get caught in our braid. So with this braid, I think it's definitely for that trendsetter person. If you want to try something different with your hair, it's very achievable and I'm really excited to show you it. So what you do is just comb your hair, I'm just combing it with my fingers, just so that it's nice and smooth for a braid. But let's start at the back of our head right here: I'm going to split this piece into three pieces and we're going to start off doing a Dutch braid, not a French braid, so going under that middle piece. So as we're going down the middle part, we're also picking up sections of the hair in the middle so that it's all connected, and we have a nice, Dutch, braid, okay, so now that we have our break going down the center. This is where you want to take that middle piece, so we have three pieces left, take the middle piece of the braid and split it in two, so that it becomes two pieces, take them and twist them back so that they're a little bit out of your Face and I find that if you just leave them down, the braid won't stay in place. So I like to twist them away from my face and I'm going to grab some bobby pins and I'm going to pin them right at the side of her head. Take out our hair now to make the braid look a little bit fuller, I'm just going to pull it apart to give it that effect of a Messier look, and also that there's a little bit more hair in the braid. So for this style, I'm going to take an exaggerated side part. So I'm going to go about an inch further than it already is and flip that all over to the side that I want to braid with, and this just kind of gives us more hair. To add to the braid so that it looks fuller, so I'm going to put this side behind my ear so that it doesn't get caught starting about the middle of our head, I'm going to start bringing that all the way down and past our ear. So we have a good chunk of hair to work with the rest of our hair, I'm going to brush that back lightly and put it in an elastic so that it's out of our way. Alright! So now that we have the section of hair, we want to work with I'm going to start it up right at the top of our head. I'M making sure that I'm keeping the braid closer to the part here so that there's not a gap between my hair and the braid. So now that we have that nice, French braid we're going to go through and lightly pull it out, so that there's some extra volume in this braid and we can make it even bigger. This is up to you. You don't have to pull at the braid, but I like a really nice full looking braid taking that piece of hair and putting it right at the nape of our neck and taking a bobby, pin and securing it in place and take out our hair elastic. And that's you! I love this hairstyle. I think it's so appropriate for work or school, it's fun and I think it looks sophisticated, but definitely on trend. Okay. So for this look I think this one's the easiest and it's very, very doable so you're just going to take a section of hair like a good chunk, because you're just going to braid it like a normal braid. You do want enough hair in the front section here as well, because we are going to be doing another braid there so for here, just splitting it into three and doing just a normal braid, nothing fancy this one will probably be the easiest look to do and The least amount of time, of course, pulling that out, taking a bobby pin and just securing it wherever you desire make sure that you put it underneath some hair so that the bobby pin is hidden taking another chunk of hair and this one's going to be closer To the front of her face, I like to leave that some pieces of hair just to frame my face and so that it's not all pulled back and again, we are just going to do a regular, braid, almost no tricks so through the darkest reaches of spray. To another pirate to shift it around, taking a bobby, pin and securing that right under the first braid we did doing the exact same thing. We did on this side right on to this side.
