Hey guys and welcome back to my channel Today, im going to show you how to dutch braid step by step for beginners. I am going to repeat myself a lot in this video, so feel free to mute me and just follow along to the video instead.. If you would like to se how I do dutch braids on myself, then check out my how to dutch braid video, where I explain everything from start to finish, I will leave a link down below or you can click the button in the upper right corner.. So with all that said, let’s get into it.. The first step is to take a small section of hair at the front of the head and split the hair into 3. Equal sections. Then take the top strand and cross it under and into the middle. Then cross. The bottom strand, under and into the middle., Then bring all the strands over to your right hand.. I hold the strand like this. The pinky holds the lower strand, the middle finger holds the middle strand and the top strand is in-between. My thumb and index finger. Now pick up a small section of hair on the same side and add it to the top strand.. So just slide the hair in-between your thumb and index finger, and then you have automatically added the hair. Then cross. The top strand under and into the middle.. Then move all the strands to your other hand., And this time the pinky holds the top strand. The middle finger holds the middle strand and the bottom strand is in-between my thumb and index finger. Then pick up a small section of hair on the same side and add it to the bottom strand. So again just slide the hair in-between your thumb and index finger To add the hair. Then cross the bottom strand under and into the middle. Again move all the strand, to the other hand and like before. On this hand, the pinky holds the lower strand, the middle finger holds the middle strand, and the top strand is in-between. My thumb and index finger. Then pick up a small section of hair and add it to the top strand so just slide the hair in-between your thumb and index finger. Then cross the top strand under and into the middle. Again move all the strand. To the other hand, and like before, on this hand, the pinky holds the top strand, the middle finger holds the middle strand and the bottom strand is in-between my thumb and index finger. Then pick up a small section of hair and add it to the bottom strand. So again just slide it in-between your thumb and index. Finger. Then cross the bottom strand under and into the middle., Then move all the strands over to the other hand, and pick up a small section of hair., Then add the new hair to the top strand. Now cross, the top strand under and into the middle. Again Move all the strands over to the other hand and then pick up a small section of hair and add it to the bottom. Strand. Then cross the bottom strand under and into the middle.. Now move the all of the strands to the other hand, and pick up some new section, hair on the same side and add the new hair to the top strand, Then cross the top strand under and into the middle. Again move the strands over. To the other hand, and then pick up some hair on the same side. Then add it to the bottom strand and then bring the bottom strand under and into the middle.. Now move all the hair to the other. Hand. Then pick up a new section of hair and add it to the top. Strand. Then bring the top strand under and into the middle. Then bring all the hair to the other. Hand. Now pick up some hair and add it to the bottom. Strand. Then cross. The bottom strand under and into the middle. Again move the strands. To the other hand, then pick up some hair and add it to the top. Strand. Then bring the top strand under and into the middle. Then move the strands. To the other hand, then pick up some hair and add it to the bottom. Strand. Then bring the bottom strand under and into the middle. Again pick up a new section of hair and add it to the top. Strand. Then bring the top strand under and into the middle., Then pick up a small section of hair and add it to the bottom. Strand. Now cross. The bottom strand, under and into the middle., Then pick up some hair and add it to the top strand and cross the top strand under and into the middle. Again pick up a new section of hair and add it to the bottom strand and then cross. The bottom strand, under and into the middle. Then pick up some hair on the other side and add the hair to the top strand and then cross. The top strand under and into the middle.. Now pick up up a new section of hair and add it to the bottom strand and cross the bottom strand under and into the middle. Again pick up a new section of hair up and add it to the top strand and then cross the strand under and Into the middle. Then pick up a small section of hair and add it to the bottom. Strand. Then bring the bottom strand under and into the middle.. From now on, I will refer to the top strand as the left strand and the bottom strand as the right strand. So add some hair to the left strand and bring it under and into the middle.. Then pick up some hair on the right side and add the hair to the right. Strand. Then bring the strand under and into the middle. Again pick up a small section of hair from the left side and add it to the left. Strand. Then bring the strand under and into the middle., Then add a small section of hair to the right strand and bring the right strand under and into the middle. Again pick up a small section of hair on the left side and add it to the left. Strand and bring it under and into the middle., Now pick up some more hair and add the hair to the right. Strand. Then cross. The right strand under and into the middle. Then pick up a new section of hair on the left side and add it to the left. Strand. Then cross the left strand under and into the middle. Again add a new section of hair to the right strand and bring the strand under and into the middle.. Then add a small section of hair to the left strand and cross the strand under and into the middle., Now add some hair on the right strand and cross it under and into the middle.. For the last time, add some hair to the left strand and cross. The strand under and into the middle. Now just braid the hair, like a normal 3 strand braid until you reach the end of your hair and tie the braid off.. If you are doing 2 braids then start this video over and do the exact same thing on the other side, so you end up with 2 braids., So that is how to dutch braid for beginners.
