She did NOT cut her hair off. Its fake hair braided with her real hair. So she cutted it underneath where her real hair ends, to save time since its quicker. The fake hair protects her hair and adds length.
She knows where it ends because usually the real hair will naturally frizz which the fake.hair doesn’t, so you just cut underneath the frizzy part
