Hey babies, it's joy, vaughan and welcome back to my channel or welcome to my channel if you're new. Thank you so much for clicking on today's video. So, as you can see, i'm working with blown out hair and i actually went ahead and just picked this out, and i wanted to blow my hair out just to make it easier for the styling process. Especially since i want this to look as natural as possible to blend with the braiding hair that we're going to be using, so i knew that i wanted a middle part, so i just started doing that. First, just to kind of section it off, but i'm actually going to be working with the back of my head first. So the only thing you're going to need for this is some rubber bands. You want to make sure that you moisturize your hair thoroughly. The same way that you would do for any protective style make sure it's detangled and everything and the braiding hair is the other thing that you're going to need. So i used the cuban twist braid hair by equal. This is 24 inches and i'm using the color ot30. I actually got this hair from sam's samsbeauty.com and it will be linked in the description box down below for you guys to purchase if you are interested, so i'm using pretty big sections in my hair. It'S not neat at all, so i'm taking about three pieces of hair and i'm just running my fingers through each piece just to make sure that it's kind of you know separated a little bit and i'm taking a section of my hair splitting it in half and Then i'm just putting the braiding hair in between and then i'm going to secure that with a rubber band. That is literally it all you do after that is twist the hair down. I'M going to show you again, so don't worry if that's a little bit too fast for you, but, like i said i just did that and now i'm going to twist the hair down while tucking my hair into the twist now. This is really going to help. Keep my natural hair protected, while also being able to hide my hair color, because, as you can see, my hair is definitely kind of like an auburn kind of a shade and to kind of avoid you being able to see that so much. I just went ahead and tucked it while twisting so showing you guys again, i'm sectioning my hair off, not neat at all like in a medium or big sized part, and then i'm moisturizing it detangling it splitting it in half and then i'm taking the braiding hair. Putting it in the center of my section and then i'm going to secure it with a rubber band so that the hair doesn't move. What this is going to do is give you that knotless look and you're not going to be able to see where the twist starts at all like it literally looks like this. Hair is coming out of my scalp and i'm just like i said tucking, my hair in while twisting and yeah that's pretty much it for this style. It'S a super, easy super, pretty hairstyle. I'Ve been doing havana twists or jumbo twists like this since college, and it's always been one of my favorite hairstyles to do so. I definitely wanted to bring it back again. So now, i'm just working with the front of my hair. I went ahead as you saw and did the rest of it. This hairstyle took me no joke like an hour and a half to do like two hours max. It literally takes no time and it would actually been faster if i wasn't filming it. So keep that in mind for yourself it's super easy and the best thing about it, for me is that there's no tension on my hair. This is not tight and it feels like there's nothing on my head, like literally another thing to keep in mind is how many pieces of braiding hair you use is how thick or how small your twist is going to be. So if you use three pieces of hair like i did here, then you'll get a thicker twist. If you use two pieces, which is what i wound up using for the majority of my head in each section, you'll get a more medium sized twist and obviously, if you use just one piece, you'll get a small twist. So how many packs you need basically varies by that for myself. I only wound up using about three and a half packs of hair. To close the tips of these twists, i wanted to show you guys kind of like up close. All i'm doing is just twisting all the way down and then taking like the little straggly extra hair and wrapping it around the bottom. This hair is a very like dense, so it's going to stay closed anyway, but i just like to do that for like a bit extra security. So this is what my hair started looking like about. I want to say like four days after and as you can see, it still looks great, it's lasting me wonderfully and honestly. If your hair starts to get a little straggly looking in the front, all you have to do is just take it out and re-twist those twists. So this can last you as long as you really want it to last now. I just wanted to show you guys how i go to sleep, because i know that's always like a question, so i'm just using the satin scarf and i just tie it around my head and put my hair in a ponytail. That'S literally it you can also put a bonnet on the back of your head solely if you want your hair to just be out of the way or you can use one of those like really really long bonnets. If you have one of those and that's pretty much it, i hope you guys enjoyed today's video. If you did, please be sure to give me a thumbs up, don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more hair related videos, as well as a beauty and lifestyle content. Follow me on instagram i post over there every single day.
