Hello, beautiful people welcome back. Welcome to the curls are stretched. The hair is prepped. Your girl is putting in some braids today, so i figured i might as well. Take you all along for the ride. We'Re gon na be doing some knotless braids in my thick hair, and it's so funny because in my previous video, where i showed you guys how i did this heatless blowout somebody said it was gon na take like a week to do my hair y'all are funny. So, as you can see, i'm starting off on stretched hair and the first thing i decided to do is actually go in and part. My hair. I decided to do square parts today and because i was actually going to be wearing these braids and have it being seen by multiple people and travel with them. I actually figured. I would go ahead and try to make the braids a little neat. Now, i'm going to be 120 billion percent, honest your girl is a free part gal for life. Okay, i cannot tell you guys the last time i've actually needed to use a duo, mirror system to actually make sure my lines are straight like i genuinely wholeheartedly believe that free parting is the way to go, and i'm a twist girl, not much of a braid Girl, i'm usually a twist girl, but i really wanted to try these knotless, so i'm just going to let y'all know prepare okay, this is your workout. This is this is this: is the effort that you are putting in majority of your hard work is going to be getting these parts regardless of the size? I can't even imagine doing these smallers good gosh good gracious, but i will say to get my parts as neat as possible. I went ahead and i used two mirrors. My beauty makeup mirror and there's a long mirror to just kind of help me, especially for the back situation in the front. Your girl is all gucci, but when it comes to the busy back, i don't see a darn thing and half of the time honestly, whenever i've done braids or twists in the in the past. I'M just like, at the end of the day who gon na check me unless you were gon na, go and redo my parts redo those braids for me. I just feel like you have nothing to say i feel like you, don't have the right to say. I don't feel like you have the right to speak. Okay. Now, as for my actual kind of like parting setup, i broke down my hair in three main sections, and these are typically the sections i would normally do box parting. It'S either kind of like going in a u-shape or front middle and back and so to make it easier on myself, i just made sure the back section ended up being one whole section. If i was doing more like medium size, i would have probably split it in two, but since i was going for more so large knotless braids, i figured i'd, save myself time and trouble and then i did two rows for the middle section and then i'm going To have the majority of my rows going straight back for the front and i'm still keeping it fairly large in the front section, i have more of like a one two three pattern. Once all my sections were made. This is what my hair ended up. Looking like, i decided to make sure i really twisted my hair so that my sections were nice and eat and it nice and easy nice and neat, so it was easier for me to go in and braid. This part took me about like an hour an hour 30 because of filming. So this is definitely the bulk of the styling and, as you can see, y'all like literally the sides of my hair, are not even the same thickness. So i was very interested to see how i'm going to try to get this whole knotless situation. Considering the fact that you know my good sister is thick yonah, i was with my kids: i'm a mother um yeah, so this is a hair that i got. I got my hair off of amazon that way it's easily accessible for everyone and it's already pre-stretched, because baby, we don't got the time nor the patient, because i am doing knotless. I did notice even when i've done it on other people, that using just regular shining gems sometimes can go either way. So i have both the shine and jam and this hair jam from kisha collections. That'S a little bit more firmer that i was going to plan on using in case the shine and jam ended up just being a little too weak um for my hair and started making it revert now for the back. I wanted to try out the traditional feed and knotless method, so i kept it real, simple. Okay, i used three sections kept the width of the hair to be about a thumb wide, and i made my largest section, the first section and then split the other section into two and those are going to be the two sections that i feed in after the Fact, as y'all can see, i did a quick test of that shining jam in the back and especially for the nape of my neck. I realized that was not enough to make sure everything was going to get slickianna. So i went over and just used the hair jam, especially to get you know the kitchen all right. We want everybody involved, okay, and i use that to slick up the back and then what i did was to prep the the actual braid itself. I don't braid all the way, so what i do is i like basically start one half, so i do not make like a full braid and then i'll go in and i'll take my largest section and i'll slide it underneath my index finger to install it and Then finish that full braid and then i will go in and add the other two pieces so i'll make sure i braid one whole time when i add the first piece and then i'll go ahead and i'll add my two other feed in pieces and when i've Done feed in braids in the past, i feel like this method in particular, is the one that i can get to have the hair looking the the most natural. If you will um, however comma this color, this color was not getting natural. So in the back i was testing it out, and i noticed that when i was braiding my hair, that my hair was a lot longer. I had a length this morpher and i thought that i would kind of be able to have like an ombre. That was what i was going for. Normally, if i put color in my hair, i would already get ombre roots, but this is what the first row looked like now. This braid right here right here on this side, where i actually tucked the hair, did not look that bad um, but the other two. Where you can kind of see the black peeking through, that's just not my preference. I i don't like that. Look, and even though i tucked the hair when i flip it forward, which was the way i was going to wear it, the most you can see where my hair is peeking through on the other side, and i just i just i just didn't like it. It wasn't it wasn't giving what it was supposed to give so because your girl is indecisive, indecisive um. I went ahead and i ordered some hair. I want to say this is 48 inches they're around the same length um, but in the color two and y'all. Now this hair, i'm pretty sure i ordered from the same people, but i guess, like this color, like first of all, it smelled good. It was given by honestly she was giving human okay and it was kanekalon okay, so i was like okay. It feels really really nice the other shade it was. It got a little bit more knotted. The scent wasn't as good, and i just felt like the quality was giving. You know expressions, but this one was given by the audience it was getting made: okay um, so i went ahead and i sectioned out the hair similar to how i did the lighter color and since i was actually now working with hair, that was my hair color. I figured i would go ahead and also try the crochet method to see if i also preferred that, instead of actually having to feed the hair through so i went in with my hair jam made sure that the hair in the base was nice and smooth and Instead of adding the hair to feed in, i actually braided my own hair down. I want to say like at least five to six times enough to where the base of the hair is nice and firm, and you can feel like you can go through it and crochet the hair through without it necessarily loosening up that way like the root is Neater, instead of having to go in and also use like rubber bands. Now in the original video, where i saw someone do this method, they were saying to use smaller pieces first to you know feed it in. I personally wasn't trying to do all that. I was trying to have this as a quicker method, so i just made sure to wrap the larger portion of the braiding hair around my hand, to keep everything nice and neat, and then i crochet, like the smaller end, making sure to not get like the part Where it starts to really taper off so it doesn't end up uneven and then i actually found a little place for my shining jam, which was to actually keep my hair smooth and then i went ahead and i braided the section down. I don't know where that particular footage was, but i will say if you're going to do this method, make sure that you don't necessarily braid too far down with your own hair. It'S going to be harder to actually kind of just braid everything through, but once i did that braid i decided to use the rest of the hair from the blonde section for just like the two braids that were going to be in that section. I believe this row had a total of four and i did two of those braids um, the regular feed in method using the blondish honey blonde hair, and then i did the two sides using the crochet method to just kind of test it out me personally. I think the crochet method is great for those of you who may suffer from actually getting. You know: knotless um feed in type of braiding or gripping, but for the actual style, the actual knotless. Look it just looked more too. It still looks as if i kind of did the rubber band method, without necessarily using rubber bands, and i just i don't know i just that - wasn't the look i was necessarily going for. I really wanted the whole like coming out of my scalp braid situation. I didn't want it to be smooth at the base and then boom like a braid coming out of it. So when i went into the front, i switched back over just to the knotless method and i just paid more attention to the section of hair. I feel like one of the biggest things that i would have probably done differently was maybe not actually add, as much hair or as thick of hair to my head. The only issue with that is that i feel like then. My natural hair is more exposed and i feel like that's what causes the hair to, or the hairstyle to get frizzier and so the more hair you have to actually kind of like offset your own natural hair. I feel like it keeps the style a lot longer, but overall, i feel, like everything ended up coming out, pretty darn good. If i may take oh myself, um, but yeah. So in the front i just made sure to pay more attention to have it. Look as realistic as possible give scalpiana and um. I made sure, to smooth the hair down to really make my braids last longer. I just really went in with that shine and jam at the end of my hair, and i tried to do more of like the tucking method with my own hair, so that, like the braid stayed nice and smooth throughout the whole duration of the style, all right. So once my hair was all braided up, this is what i ended up. Looking like, as you can see, as soon as the braids are activated as soon as the style is is, is 99 complete, the tongue comes out. The whip. Lash comes out length, it's just something about having something to flip, okay, flip and accidentally give people whiplash like keep your six feet away from me. Please and thank you um, but this is what the hair is looking brush out, the box and from the back and from the side um to finish off the look, i went ahead and quickly dipped my ends off camera. They honestly, just given the quality of this hair, didn't really need to be dipped like that, and then i also went ahead and added just a tiny bit of vitamin e oil, more so for protection um, because my scalp was going to be exposed - and i was Also going to be traveling to set the rest of my hair, i went in with some lot of body whenever i use a lot of body foam. It just helps the hair last. A little bit longer stay a little bit longer and i don't find that this necessarily reverts my roots or my own hair back. So i just use it to set everything, and i don't know it just gives me a nice scalp relief while that is setting. I would decided to go ahead and add, like the finishing touches i was going back and forth of whether or not i wanted to leave the hair as is but y'all know. Y'All know this. I can't do anything simply anna okay and i felt like since i switched the hair color and it wasn't given the honey blonde. Look i had to go out just you know a little a little clicky clack a little something to let people know. I'Ve entered the building okay, so i went in and i did like a cute little neutrals, bead situation and i applied that to the ends of the hair. Now the ends of the hair did end up being um relatively thick. This hair was more on the thick side, like most pre-stretched hair, end up thinning, very, very, like thin at the end, but this one didn't so all i do is i go in with the end of like a rat tail comb or my edge brush and just Kind of tuck the ends of the hair in so i can slide the beads down and everything looks more cohesive once all my beads are in this is the final look. You guys end result ended up coming out super cute. I actually really like the whole peekaboo underneath color i'll definitely have to revisit a style with that color again as for installation, the entire style, including adding the beads and setting the hair, took me a total of six hours. So we didn't do that bad on time and it sure, as hell did not take a week as always.
