So i'm about to attempt to do extra small butt length, knotless braids on my hair. We might be here for a couple days, so you're going to start with three strands and start off braiding, naturally, as a basic braid, i'm going to braid twice before i start adding braiding hair within the braid. I grab my first braiding hair and i insert it between the index and the thumb, and then i just continue to braid normally like i did not even just add that flat end. Let me get my second shred up here. Add it between the same section, the index and the thumb and continue to braid again, i'm going to do that one more time, i'm going to add it between the index and the thumb, and i'm going continue to braid. I'M going to do this next braid a little different, so i section it into three and i braid, like i normally braid a natural basic braid. When i insert the hair, i insert it into the same section in between the index finger and the thumb. But this time i'm going to leave a piece out and grab it with my left hand when i braid it and come back around i'm going to add it in between that index. Being the thumb explain it one more time. So i add between the index and dominant and instead of adding both strings to the plait, i separate one and add it when i come back on the left side, i'm going to do it again. The only reason why i do i like this step, a little better, is because the knotless braid and the beginning lays a little flat when i add both strands at one time um, but not the spray tend to look a little bulky when i'm doing it. On my own head, i don't do it when i do someone else's head, but it tends to look a little bulky when i do it online. So i like this technique a little better. Please do not judge my undercut. I'M going to get a cut y'all, but this is two rows um, the next step, i'm gon na do i'm just gon na separate the front from the rest of the back of my hair. I like to do that separately. So as i'm going to part the front to section it off um to get it out of the way, i'm going to section my hair now into three sections it's day, two and guess what y'all i went and got my undercard cut. So let's continue hmm! So tired is not the word i was done so so, oh, i look like y'all angelico, so so so so hmm, so i struggle a little more in the front because of my neck position, my hand position um the way that i add in the feeding braids. It'S exactly the same, but it's just a little harder when it comes down to the front um hair can get in the way it i'm slower. So it's a lot of steps. Patient steps that's taken when it comes down to doing your knotless braids in the front, but practice make perfect, do y'all, guess what guess what job so here's the finished product. Ladies, i had fun doing my hair, like i do all the time. It might take me a very long time. Um i started on thursday night around, like seven got that two three rows done and then i started the next day got the whole back of my head done and then on the third day. I just finished the front. These are butt length, extra small, knotless, braids they're super light super full perfect, just how i like them, put it in a full bun and they're fun fun for vacation fun for any season of the year, like i said, they're super full they're super light, no tension On your hair at all, they helped me grow my hair so much but yeah. Ladies. So if you want a one-on-one on how to do your hair, i am thinking about doing a class. I'M located in smellville georgia off scenic highway. Um leave a comment below. If i missed anything, if you have any questions comments or concerns, let your girl know, but i had fun doing this video. I hope you guys, like it don't forget to like and subscribe and i'll see you guys next time.

Life with Modesty: 3/4 in to the video but I wanted to give you your standing ovation now. Sistah Girl you hook’d it up. How ever long it takes, it’s the beauty in the work that counts. Great video and very encouraging. I do knotless in my daughters but when it comes to doing my own it’s harder. I went to a Braider that claimed she knew the art of knotless and it was an epic fail‍♀️. You encouraged me to just do my own♥️♥️

Dessy S: This is exactly how I want my hair. If it took you 3 days, it’ll probably take me 9 but I’m determined to do it one day.

Bria Cobbs: I just want to say that I watched your video and I was immediately able to do the knotless on my own hair with your instructions. It took me 2 days and 3 packs of pre stretched hair to complete the look! What would have been a $300-400 hair style cost me $20 bucks to do myself! THANKYOU❤️!

Ms. Aquarius: Beautiful & neat I pulled this look off in 1 day several times. I time myself. 8 hours to do the back 8 hours to do the front. If I start @9am and take 10 min breaks every 2 hours I'm done by 1am. 16 hours is a long time but since I'm used to it, it goes by fast especially with my hair being long and full. They last along time I love this style. Great job queen!

deja p: this is honestly the best small knotless braiding video i’ve seen so far; with direction of parting, sizing, methods, etc. thank you for this!!!!

Kim: So in my mind I braid just like her, until I actually start braiding and then I’m like WTF!

Tosha Robinson: I watched several tutorials on how to perform knotless braids on myself. Your tutorial was the best thus far. Your braids are neat; it truly looks like you had a professional braid your hair. Thanks for the tutorial.

Brionna Edwards: These are best braids I’ve seen as a diy. Like... they’re perfect !

Kirstie M: I had a mini praise break for the lastttttt braid. You did a phenomenal job

Mera Nicole: I love doing my own hair ! These normally take me 2 days to do on myself but it’s worth it! They came out beautiful

Daniella Benaine: this makes doing knotless on myself seem so much easier and less complicated. i cant wait to try thiiiis!!!

Devyn: You absolutely BODIED this. This is the best tutorial I've seen to date! Definitely going to try your method next time I do my own braids.

FirstName LastName: You make me feel like I can do this (after I practice 500x! LOL). This video was everything, thank you! I love that you showed two techniques.

Jazzi Nicole: You did an amazing job. I’m about to do my own just like this. Thank you

Kelli D: This has to be the BEST I've seen for someone braiding their own hair. AWESOME JOB!!! I love the size.

Fe Raynor: You make it look so easy I just watched slay with Ray and you too are really informative .You got me wanting to try to do my own hair..These braids are great

JassieLuvsHard: You and this tutorial just gave me the confidence to step my game up and do knotless braids this go around instead of the traditional box braids… preciate ya!!!

Davia Iman: You did yet another good job !!! Giving me the strength to do my small butt length knotless on myself !!

Lucki.Johnson: Amazing tutorial.. I followed along with this video, did the second method, and it came out great. I am surprised at how lightweight these micro knotless braids are.

AK Allen: I appreciate people like you!! ❤️❤️ you share your knowledge. I love how you do classes! I learn how to do knotless from watching this video. I did them larger though just to see if I could do it! But I’m doing smaller ones tonight.

LOVELYTRICEE: Your hair is so pretty! I can regular box braid, I’m definitely gonna try to do this! Thank you!!

NOHSAL: Watching someone else do what I can do made me realize how AMAZING this gift is. We do it so effortlessly! ❤❤❤

PlushByAngel: You did a beautiful job i love them

lei antoinette: honestly the best feed-in video out there. i'm a visual learner, so you explaining everything while i watched was extremely helpful

onyinye okeke: Wow, this is the best DIY video i have ever come across. Lovely braids. I am motivated to do mine myself now

teyatoy: wow!!!! they turned out so beautiful. this makes me want to get them done in my hair! great job!

XO Michon: Thank you so much for this video summer time heat is kicking me and my hair’s behind

Aliea Ray: First off thank you thank you thank you this tutorial is the best !! Okay total and full transparency so I watched this video a million times because I’m very much a diy queen and I very much like to save myself coin and really apply myself . So I decided three weeks ago I would do some knotless before I start my new job so I don’t have to worry about my hair and not not worry just low maintenance . So last week I attempted it took me 6 hours to pre part my hair because my hair is thick and if I just went in I would have cried . I’d say it took me 4 to 5 days to complete but this was my first time and the total hours of braiding I would say was 29 hours it came to about 28 hrs 49 minutes when I finished timing myself but it was so worth it The first two rows took me 7 hours and then there was a break through for the third row and I finally figured out what I was doing wrong After that it was smooth sailing and then a bit more of a learning curve with the front. The front made me want to redo the whole back again twice over I believe at that point my hands were sore and I was sleep deprived from staying up late two nights in a row but it was so worth it I love my braids and would 100 percent recommend the second method for you own hair as the braids always came out bulky with the first method but the second method pure gold once you get the hang of it And this tutorial is my favorite I will definitely attempt again but I’ll probably do them larger for times sake and maybe small again if I go on vacation or something but I really can’t complain I saved myself 200 dollars and I have hair for the next time because I really didn’t use that much So thank you thank you thank you again for sharing your talents this is a game changer!!!

Lisa Marie: Jesusss this is sooooo beautiful. I know how to do regular box braids but these look so much more natural. I’m gonna do it this way for Valentine’s Day ♥️

Adenika Pippen: Thank you so much for your tutorial and answering so many questions. I have one for you if I may. When you get to the front and top of your head, do you add in additional pieces to keep the same length? Or you only add the same 3 pieces at the beginning of the braid?

I am going to start today after I get home and try to finish by Sunday. How many packs of hair did you use? I bought seven, just in case so I don’t have to drive out to the store and just stay focused on the completion.

Meek Beauty: Baby how you get them boxes so neat on your own head?! Wow! Looks beautiful I can’t wait to do mines

DrkNSwt: First off, thank you for doing this video. Trying to figure out how to braid your own hair is a mental exercise for me. I am a vision learner so can you show how you go from over handed to under handed a few more times, I am trying to catch that part and I can't quite get it. I am also trying yo wrap my head around holding the tails, I think your method will help me keep the braids tight and uniform if I can visualize it. I wish I was in the Atlanta area, all the way in IL. Thank you for your help, you do a wonderful job.

RealMadridcanBraid: Love your hair. Great D.I.Y Tutorial! Thank You

Kimberly Lopez: I absolutely enjoyed this video from fabulous start to finish! Your hair looks like you got it professionally done!! I appreciate how you slowed down the video and showed (clearly I might add) how to add the hair, step by step. I have to add the reference to Anjelica cracked me up!! You have just gained a new fan! I'm going to try this on my own hair and will let you know the outcome!

Abegail Raymond: Omg you rock. I'm trying feedinbraids too. Not that small this go round but your hair looks awesome. Happy new year

Tameka Morrison: Patience is everything love this style ❤

Amsterdam: YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB

Ashley Odunze: Great job! A class would be awesome!

The Real Nefertiti Israel Moon: ok ok trying these again! I have wanted this tutorial so many times! My hair is much shorter so it will take me much longer but I'm gonna push myself to finish in 3 to 5 days! wish me luck if all else fails I can always put in traditional box braids! These are easier on others than myself i am finding out!

Visha Trice: I love them, you did amazing

Makeupbylexiib: How many packs of hair did you end up using for your entire head! I’m trying to do these for my birthday this month

Rachel Oshaks Music: This is so impressive. I’m so inspired
