Everybody is your girl lavish Lana. Thank you for coming back to my channel. If you're new here welcome, make sure you hit that subscribe button. So you can see when my next video comes out the tunnel okay. So today we will be re-freshing these braids, as you guys can see. These braids are old. I'Ve had them in for about a month. Now, I'm not expert, so they are a little bit looser than they should be. So I'm just gon na show you guys the process that I go through to refresh these braids and make them look all new again. I'M gon na start this off by sectioning off the braids. I'M gon na do this one braid out of time and I'm just gon na be redoing some of the braids in the front and some down the middle. That way, you know, I hit all the ones that I think meet the most work. If you want a more in-depth tutorial on how exactly I do these braids, I am gon na put the link above because I do have a tutorial, but this video isn't gon na be a tutorial. I just want to show you guys how I am refreshing. These braids, so I'm just gon na start off by, like I said, doing a couple in the front and some down the middle, see hi. So I'm back, I went ahead and finished the rest of my braids. I did a couple right here, some on the ends and yeah, because I do plan to take this out in the next couple of weeks. I didn't do like redo it fully, but I just want it to look a little bit fresher than it did, because I did have a lot of gross ignore my pimple. I know it looks crazy, so anyway, I wanted to get to the maintenance part of how I take care of my braids so along with washing right here, because I did wash my hair of the course of having these braids, I washed it. I believe twice and you just wash it normally as you would your normal hair, but you do want to be extra careful that way. You know you don't have little stragglers come out because you don't really want that. So, as far as oiling my scalp, I use this thing called reversion hair fertilizer, it's in this tube and it really has helped my hair grow because I do kind of have a problem with the links for tension. So this definitely helps me with that. So I just like to take some one, my finger - and I have my mirror right down here and I just put it on my scalp - rub it into my scalp. Just rub it down my scalp, like the good old days like your mommy used to do. I just like to rub it on my scalp. I hope some appear to on my edges and you don't have to use any type of hair for allies or anything like that. You really just want to oil your scalp and make sure that your oil in your Scott, when you have these braids in because that is what helps your hair's not Beach and also keeps your scalp, your hair, nice and growing put some on this side. It does kind of have a strong smell, but I like it so then up for that time we're going to go ahead and do our edges, and I will my scalp better take three times a week. It'S a little bit easier when you have the one with the scalp in it, but I'm just gon na lay down my edges with the eco styler gel, as I do about so next, I'm going to take my rat tail comb and pull out whatever stragglers. I have out that I can use for my baby hair. So that's what I'm doing with that rat tail comb. Now, I'm not pulling too hard. I just want all the loose hairs to come out that way. I can gel them down. So after that's done, I'm going to go ahead and take my eco styler gel and my edge toothbrush Inge's gel all that down. I don't do my baby here is any particular way, but if you watch this is how I do them and look at that already. Starting to look more fresh, I'm just gon na lay my hair by putting some gel on the top and that just helps everything. You know look fresh as possible, so I'm just gelling the top of the braids and then I'm gon na go in with some foam and just do the same process and that helps your braids look nice and fresh just what they do at the salon. And then I'm gon na take my silk scarf and tie my head down and I'm just gon na leave this on my head for a couple minutes that way the whole style just sets and there's no loose straggly s hanging around anywhere, and here is the finished. Look you guys, what do you think hey guys, so this is the finished. Look I went ahead and took off my hip. Scarf did Mila makeups and yeah. The braids are nice and refreshed, as you can see, I'm probably gon na wear these for a couple more weeks. You know it's just an easy style during quarantine. That way, I really don't have to do anything to my hair but regular maintenance but yeah. I really love these braids. Let me know in the comments below, if you guys want me to do a Q & A on these braids as well. I know you guys really liked the tutorial um, so let me know and yeah. This is how i refresh my braids, my maintenance and yeah. So I will see you guys in my next video thank you for watching deuces

Jaelyn Nyleaj: Pre-pooing helps with length retention too! I do it while taking down any protective style. It makes sure that your hair is still moisturized while manipulating it bc if you manipulate your hair dry, it’s easier for it to break off.
