Box Braids Hair Review + Diy Decorating Using Hair Jewelry + Accessories

When I'm down you pick me up you and me, we shine, it does hey guys. It'S cam welcome back to my channel. As you can see, this is not going to be a wig review or a wig tutorial. Today, I'm going to show you guys how I like to wear my hair in between ways um, I don't wear wigs all the time I like to switch my styles up and between wearing wigs, just because I feel like it's important that you give your natural hair Break and not forget about your real hair under these wigs, so I like to do you know different styles, to make sure that I'm giving my real hair break. So with all that being said, I am wearing box braids and I am using synthetic hair for my box braids. So let me share with you guys today how I like to style, my box braids and not necessarily how I like to actually style it. It'S this video is more about, like the accessories that I like to use or hair jewelry to style my box braids. So it's all about you know, hair accessories, hair jewelry for this video and where you can find them and for cheap, of course. So first let me tell you what kind of hair I'm using and then we can go right into this tutorial and - and I can show you how I like to add accessories to my box braids. So let me share with you what kind of hair I use the hair that I use is from my local beauty supply store, so just a hair store up the street, they sell everything and this is easy braids. So I don't know if you guys are familiar with them. This is my very first time using them and I was impressed. I really did like um this hair. So this is the the 1b slash 27. So is this color that you're seeing and it is like an ombre color so like the top part, is 1b, which is like a black and then the bottom is the 27. So I just added a few pieces of those, but the entire box braids are in color 1b and they are 26 inches long, so they are pretty long, which I do like my box braids to be long. So again, this is easy. Braids and four bundles come in the pack. That'S what I like about this and it is also pre stretched. Pre layered and it says state money saying to save time, ez braiding and they do not lie. I love pre-stretched haired, there's no reason to buy any other kind of synthetic braiding hair. I mean there's no tangling when you're braiding it and you can just zip through each box braid like that. So this entire process took me. I started at 5:30. I finished at 8:30 so with that three hours, and that includes the rubber banding portion, not just the breeding but the rubber, banding and parting, my hair into sections into boxes or squares. So and that's also including interruptions, because I have two little kiddos. I have a two-year-old and a four-year-old that do not stop talking to me and wanting my attention and interrupting me so three hours with interruptions, I'm telling you this hair is bomb when it comes to no tangles, because I feel like regular synthetic hair and when I Mean regular, I mean the one that is the ones that are not pre stretched or pre layered they get very tangled, and you just want to you want to be done. You don't even want to finish braiding your hair when they say tangles so much so tip when box braiding your hair always go for the pre stretch, pre layer, it might be a couple of dollars more, but I'm telling y'all it's worth it's worth your time. It'S worth your money, so I'll show you what the path looks like. This is what it looks like so four bundles in a pack. I bought 2 packs thinking that I wouldn't need two packs, but I did them stuck the box braids. So big that I didn't need him and I do my box braids pretty big, because I only tend to wear them for like 2 weeks 3 weeks at a time, so 1 pack - and I think this was under $ 10. If my memory serves me correctly under $ 10 at the hipster, as you can see, four bundles in the pack - and this is the coat 1b - so I have an extra pack so that works out. Okay, let's talk about the accessories and then we can go right into this tutorial, so I got these also from the hair store and they were $ 1.00. So this is braiding cords, so I don't know if you guys are familiar with that. You might see. You know pictures of girls with box braids and they have those uh that string or cord in their hair. Like. Oh, that's cute. What is that? That'S this one dollar at the hair store or you might see, gross with the wire in your head, their hair in box braids. You look, that's cute. What'S that that's this and it's also one dollar. This is called. It says dreadlock wire for braiding hair, but it's just wire for braiding hair, one dollar, and then I also like I've never used these before. These are hair. Braid rings, so they're like little rings as you can see, and you just kind of clip them on I've. Never used these before before, so this will be new for me too. So we're gon na try them out and let's see what they look like, and we can give some life to these braids and just jizz it up a little bit. You know you just want to customize it, so you can add a little something to them. Anybody can do this, as you can see. Here is the side. I did put it back in my side ponytail, because this is how I'll be rocking it, mostly just because there's so much hair and I kind of just like to keep it to one side. So yeah look how cute that came out and I did attempt to use the hair ring. I lost them somewhere here on this tray, but I did attempt to use these hair rings. Let me show you them again, but it was too much for this style. Like I was already using the wire, then I used the braiding cord and I'm like. I want it to be a little extra, but I don't want to be like overly extra. So I was like okay, these are gon na have to be worn at a later date, but these are cute again. They were $ 1 for a pack of I think, like 12 were in the pack, and I have no idea where I lost the pack, but it's somewhere here, but yeah $ 1 at the hair, so these are really cute. So this is something where I would kind of mix it with either or wire, so I would either wear it with just the wire in the Rings or just the braiding cord in earrings like. I think all three are too much and I just for me. It was just too much so I I just like this look, so you just wanted to be like. Oh, that's cute, but it's not extra and I like that and it's simple and it has some style, so you see how you can use it up and give them all that vibe at one time. So yes check out your beauty supply store. They have these hair cords or braiding cord and brain wire that you can add to your box braid to give your hair some extra style.
