I Did My Own Box Braids!!How To Box Braid Your Own Hair At Home|South African Youtuber

Hi guys welcome back to my channel. I hope you guys are doing great. I am so for those who don't know me, my name is carol lamini and i'd really appreciate it. So this should be exciting. I last did my own hair in, like february march, when i was still back at school and i'd done my hair blue. Now here's the thing i really loved it, but it was difficult when it came to like outfits and stuff like that, because every time i had to like choose an outfit, i had to consider my hair so yeah this time i decided to go with black and With school back on, i needed a hairstyle with low maintenance, and i couldn't really keep up with my hair because i needed to wash it every now and then i had to moisturize it and stuff like that. So i felt like having braids would be better because i wouldn't have to like keep on moisturizing them. I just dump my hand braids and see them when i see them so yeah. So i've never done these kinds of braids, so i'm gon na be trying and if it doesn't work out, then i'm just gon na stick to the braids. I know which is box braids, so yeah without further ado. Let'S get right into the video. So this is the fiber that i'm going to be using i'm using darling, so i have fiber. I have this comb which has like a thin um end and then for like opening lines, and then i also have these that i'm going to use to like portion. My hair, because so my hair's combed and i just went on and sectioned my hair into four parts, and and this is the one that we're gon na be starting with, and then i'm gon na come with this one. Then this one then this one so yeah. So i figured i'm just gon na do the whole head and then i'm gon na come back when i have like this potion left. So i can show you guys the front side so yeah see you guys later, so i'm right right-handed. So this is the amount of fiber that you're gon na take i'm right-handed. Other people are left-handed, so i use my right to like hold my fiber and then i use my left hand to hold um my natural hair and then i just grab it, and i make sure that i grab it really tight. And then you take your fiber and then you put it around your hair right and then you yeah. I don't know how to describe this action, but i hope you guys can see what i'm doing and then you hold your natural hair and then you pull it in so basically, that's how you do it. That'S where you take a piece of hair from the other um two hairs, you take a piece of hair and you just cross it over to a part that has your hair and then you just continue like that. So now you have three pieces of hair that you can work with because, like my battery is finishing so i'll just you just do the same thing. So basically you just do the same thing until you get to the end, and then you have your completed braid. So basically, it's going to look like this, but since my battery is almost dying, so i just figured, i should show you guys again before it dies. So basically, you take your natural hair on your left and then you take your fiber on your with your right hand, and then you take your fiber. You put it around over and around your natural hair. Just like that, and then you basically twist it so you get to your natural hairs and then you just basically continue planting for me. So you just continue planting like that and if it feels a bit loose, then you just pull it in and then you continue planting just like that and if it so happens that your braid is small and you want to add on more hairpiece, you don't really Have to like start the whole entire braid again, you can just take a little bit of fiber just like that, and then you basically just hold it like that with your thumb and your index fin finger, and then you put it in between your index finger and Your middle finger, and then you just put it like that, and there you just added more fiber, and then you just continue plaiting like that and there you have added on your fiber and now you have a bigger braid and then you can just continue down and If it's too skinny, then you just break off a piece from one side that you feel is a bit bigger. So for me, i feel, like this side is bigger, so i'm gon na break it off break it off and i'm gon na give it to the smaller one. So and then i just continue braiding, so i basically took hair from the other braid and then i just continued braiding just like that, and i really hope this is helpful for you guys and if you feel like you didn't really see properly, then you can just Rewind, the video, i guess and then yeah.
