Kanekalon Jumbo Braid is readily on the market in several different colors., But because it has a kinky texture, sometimes it might not match the application that you need it for.. So I'm going to show you two different methods on how to straighten this fiber.. For both, you will need a nylon bristle brush with tight nylon, bristles. We're going to first do a hot water dip, and then I'm going to show you how to do it on our steamer. To do a hot water dip and get the fibers straight. All the way to the top make sure that you're wearing heat, protectant gloves. Put your fiber into the water. And just swirl it around a little bit.. Then you're going to take your brush starting at the bottom and you're, going to pull through that fiber.. As your fiber gets straighter, it will become easier to brush., Be careful as this water is incredibly hot. Once that you can see that all of your kinks have been removed. We'Re going to set this to the side and lay it perfectly straight and let it cool. And that will complete your straightened fiber. Now, let's take a look at how to do that with a steamer.. The second method relies on steam. We're just going to pick up. Our fiber. Just apply the steam to the fiber.. You can already see the kinks just falling. Away. Steaming is a much faster method than the hot water dip, but a lot of people don't have access to steamers.. So it's always good to have a back-up method., And that is how you straighten Jumbo Braid fiber
