Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so today we're gon na be doing a tutorial on a video you guys requested on how to make all your box braids the same size. Now our first tip, I'm gon na be sharing with you. Guys is how to be aware of the size of braids that you take now. If a braid is too light, you should be able to feel it in your hands by kind of like consistently going through the braids, with your hands, to kind of be able to tell okay. This braid is too late. I need to add a little bit more or this braid is too thick. I need to take out a little bit more. That'S gon na be the first tip tip number two would also be to do a guided braid, so your very first Brady's gon na act as a guide as to how big or how small you want the brains to look. So today we're going for a medium sized braid, so I'm gon na be doing my definition of medium. Everybody has their definition. This is my definition of a medium-size braid and I'm gon na be using this very first braid as a guide to help me make every other braid after that, the same size or as close as possible. Now, if you were bringing the next braid - and it is too big or it's bigger than your guide, braid - do not be afraid to take it down, it doesn't make you less of a professional, it just makes sure it just makes you look like you care, and You want to make sure that you have your client looking good and looking right, so don't be afraid to take down braids and add hair and go back and forth. That'S okay, don't feel pressure to have everything perfect at the first. Try, the more you constantly make yourself familiar with braids or boxford's or cornrows, the better you're going to get every time so do not be afraid to go back and take out here too no benefits to go back and add hair. You know whenever you make a mistake, correct yourself right there and then, because it's gon na affect the finished product of the hairstyle. So after you're done with your guide braid, you want to go ahead and proceed on to your very first attempt at matching the size of your braids, so pay attention to how I always go over the braiding hair multiple times with my hands. It'S not because I'm old CV like that, it's just because I want the hair to feel the same as the other hair felt in my hands. So if I feel that it is too thick and you wouldn't know, you'll feel when the hair is like. Okay, it's thicker than what I had before. So that's why you see me constantly running my fingers through it. You know so that helps me out a lot and saves me a lot of time from having to take down a braid, because if I feel like okay, this hair is thicker than the very first hair I did before. I would just immediately take out the hair right there before I even start or add hair right there before I even start and then go ahead and put it on and nine times out of ten it matches perfectly. So that's what I do a lot of times and you guys will notice that a lot and anyway, we've realized that until I started editing this video, I'm like wow, I actually have a system like. I do the same habits all the time and I just now started paying attention to why I'm doing those things, and it's all making sense to me now, thanks to you guys, I'm actually paying attention to what I'm doing cuz after a while. It just becomes second nature to you that you just do you just do it. Your hands become so familiar with it, except when you touch the braids, you just go so yeah. I hope that helps. I know it's just me find another Savior feeling it's on me. Alan good, it's only I'm fine, but the never seems you haven't. Let me come inside, it's a me. I look good, so we're fine. I want you to show me, show me okay. So when you're done, of course, you want to take a pair of scissors and trim any flyaway as much as you can. Sometimes this is like the most irritating part of doing hair because after standing for hours, the last thing I want to do is take a pair of scissors and cut away flyaway hairs like I just want to be done at this point, but you have to do It if you want the hair to look as flawless as possible, so just take the time to do it. I'Ll also share with you guys tips on how to tackle flyways tip number one is hot water. Not only does hot water loosens the hair up and gives it movement, it also lays down flyaways at the tip of the hair, so girl take notes. Okay, it helps a lot and don't forget to use your towels, don't forget to protect itself and your client so that your days may be long. Oh yes, so for the flyaways at the very top of the hair, I like to use the mousse and I just simply dab it now I splurge I literally go in with the mousse and then I just dip my hot towel. Why did my towel into the hot water making sure that I'm very, very careful and making sure that is not dripping? It has to be damned, so I just simply run it over where I place the mousse, and this will also lay away the flyaways like crazy. It helps a lot so use this tip. Sometimes I just let the hot towels sit on the hair to kind of steam it a little bit and that kind of just gives it a very conditioning vibe at the very top of the hair and yeah you guys. That'S my million-dollar tip of the day, yeah so be very careful a lot of times. You know when clients finished getting their hair done, they don't want to be touched because it hurts like hell. So you want to be careful, I'm just simply taking the hair out of her face, so it doesn't bother her. You know get in the way. So that's all I'm doing making sure I am extremely careful and yeah, so I'm just gon na take my guys to be glue. You guys can tell it's struggling. It'S about to give up. Life is running out of this guy's to be a glue. I'Ve just taken a little bit and just going to lay down her edges just to make sure that you know the whole overall aesthetic of the hair looks good and it's pink, she looks bomb, she looks laid and yeah. That'S really it for this tutorial. I hope my tips were helpful to you guys if you found this video valuable make sure you give it a thumbs up like share, comment and also leave suggestions for another video and I'll be sure to hook you guys up love, you guys have a merry day And God bless

Jennifer Watson: Yes love it fleek Thank you!

Tameka Grigler: Thanks for the info great job

Independant Observer: Taking down braids and 're doing them, if you made them too thin or too thick will make the finished product look better, but it's also painful for the client and makes the scalp sore.... another thing... braiders drag their fingers through finished braids to display their art work neglecting that the fresh heavy braids can be very painful and pulls and tugs on a tender scalp....great tutorial tho hun!
