Back To School Hairstyle: Feed In Criss Cross Style With Passion Twists

Hi everyone, so it is back to school season, and i have my friend here and i'm going to be doing a hair for back to school. Eye. Hair was stretched out in braids and i just used a light blow dry just to blow dry hair. So what i'm doing is i'm sectioning my hair into two parts just like that, and you can clean up the parts and make it better, but don't worry because actually the parts are going to be hidden. So the first thing we want to do is section the front area, so the front area i'm doing a curve section and i'll be creating three distinct areas. So the middle part is where the focus will be, but there's going to be some jazzing up on the side, so i'm first putting a little bit of gel on the front of the hair, just to lay it and then i'm combing out the hair with my Comb everything that i'm using will be in the description area and i'm also going to tack some products in there. So, as you can see, i am very gentle with the edges. I don't put so much tension and i don't start adding hair in at the edges. Never do that so i'm doing fitting braids and what i'm just doing is i'm just braiding up the hair and, as i braid up the hair, i'm going to take a thin amount. So you, when you are doing fitting braids, you don't want to take big amounts when you're starting off, because it's going to just make the style look very, very chunky. You want to start off with a small amount, so i'm going to show you again. I am taking a small amount and i'm not adding too much braid hair to our hair, i'm just adding a little bit of braid hair, i'm doing like two times uh for this length of hair section, so i'm just taking the hair and then i'm just gon Na swing it i have a full tutorial on how to do this much lower and in depth tutorial by the way. I post things multiple times a day to help you out so for the ends of the hair, i'm not braiding through the end of the hair, i'm just going to braid until i get to our own hair. Now, for this other section we're going to be doing a crisscross, so i have two sections of hair and i'm gon na take those two sections of hair and i'm gon na divide them vertically into three sections. So just watch so now i have three sections on one part and i'm going to repeat the same thing on the other part. So as you can see, these are the three sections. Okay and then i'm going to repeat the same thing on the other part. Now see make sure you you do it so that they match up along the same line. Okay, so doing criss cross braids can help you, oh by the way, did you subscribe, don't forget to subscribe. I always forget to tell people to subscribe. So now i'm gon na do fitting braids with this. Also so you see i'm starting off, i'm starting off with just using our own hair and i'm being very gentle, i'm doing it much slower right now, so that you can see so as i braid up the hair so be gentle, you can redo it again. If you mess up i'm gon na add a thin amount, see how tiny that hair is, i'm gon na add a thin amount. You can barely even see it and i'm just going to braid up a hair. So i was being very, very gentle. I don't believe in pulling on edges and stuff. So when i finish one section, i'm going to jump vertically like diagonally to the other area uh. So i'm just crossing across to the other side, the edges inside and i'm just gon na keep on doing this. So i'm just taking a little bit more of the hair, just adding it, and i believe this is the last time i'm adding hair, i'm just gon na keep on going and then i'm jumping to the opposite section. Okay, so just watch! I purposely slow down this section so that you can see so now, i'm jumping to the opposite area. Doing crisscross is very, very beautiful because it makes it look as if you spent a lot of work, but to tell you the truth. Crisscross are so easy to do. This is actually my first time doing it with added hair. I normally just do it with the hair itself. You might wonder why do you? Why are you adding extension in our hair and stuff? Oh, she just wanted something cute for third grade she's going into third grade and we just wanted something cute and something girly and um. We normally do our hair with just our hair, not with extension, but you know what hair is fun. So i'm repeating the same thing on the other side, you can see how that other side we braided is kind of um swirly like a wave, so we're just gon na cross over and right here is where i'm going to add my extension. So i make sure i move away from the edges before i add my extension and i'm just adding the extension in there swinging that over like that and then i'm gon na add my extension braid that in and then swing this to add it in okay and Then we keep on braiding. So just take your time and if you don't know how to do this, i would highly advise you when you're doing criss cross first, do it with the hair by itself and don't do it with extensions once you've mastered how to do it with extensions. I do several things. Um don't forget to subscribe. So also um, my girls are older. Now i have um a 14 year old and uh 18 a 17 year old, all in college. So it's always a joy when i can do this little ones here. She is eight years old and i'm so blessed and so thankful to our mom, who brings her over and her sister over for me to do their hair because it's kind of bittersweet when your kids are getting older and they don't need you to do their hair Anymore and you love doing hair so anyway, this is what it looks like we've done, the criss cross. I did it on one side and i did it on the other side and the middle part. I didn't record the video for the middle part because it's just simple cornrow going all the way down. Um you notice the edges. I don't pull on the edges right here. You can see the crisscross really really nicely so for the back of the hair. We just did passion twist really simple passion twist. I did use um rubber bands when i did the fashion twist she loved her hair and added some color, so the ends of the hair for the ponytail that bun thing i just wrapped the hair. I didn't cut that hair that was left over. I just wrapped it to create this crown that she loved, and i added in some jewelry and she absolutely loved you guys, so this style can last up to two to three weeks.
