Side Braid Hair Tutorial On Short Hair

I'M gon na show you a super easy and simple hairstyle that I like to do on my hair to spice up my look a little bit also. I have a few tips on how I get the lived-in wavy. Look on my shoulder length, Bob I'm working with two-day-old unwashed hair that already had some product in it, so I brushed through it really well before I started this video, I clipped the top half of my hair on top of my head so that I can work With the bottom half first and I usually grab two to three inch sections, as I work my way around my head, I'm using a one and a quarter, inch curling iron and this one happens to be the extra long barrel. But I would get the same result if I used the standard length barrel. Also, I have the heat setting on my iron all the way up to 450 degrees, because I do this often and I'm used to this iron, so I'm able to work kind of fast. If you're practicing or if you don't plan on moving quickly, I would recommend setting the heat lower, maybe to like 300 to 350 degrees, so I'm randomly alternating the curl direction. As I move around my head, the main thing I worry about is the direction of the curl that is around my face. I usually curl away from my face for all the pieces, except for maybe one on each side, which I would curl towards my face. I leave the end of each curl out, while the hairs wrapped around the iron, and then I dragged the iron through the ends the last few seconds, while working the iron out of the curl and also I used the clamp, that's on the iron to lift the Plate just a little bit while I'm moving through the hair, so once all of my hair is curled, I add a little bit of volume. With my puff me volumizing powder, I pull up sections in the crown and in the back of my head and I spray a couple of puffs of the powder at the root and then I backcomb just a little bit to create a teased cushion for volume. I repeat this a few times and then I use my fingers to work the product around in my hair and also to break up any bumps or bulges. So now my hair is prepped and ready for the braid. I pick a side for my braid to go on and then I do it, how do you partying and next I take a section of my bangs and I separate it into three equal parts and all I'm doing here is a simple three strand braid, but I'm Adding from around my face each time before I fold the outside piece over, I don't pick up any hair anywhere else, so it's not a French braid and also there won't be a part line on the backside of the braid. Once I reach about my temple, I no longer take up any new hair. I just transitioned into a regular three strand braid until I reached the end of my hair, but if you're working with longer hair, you don't have to braid all the way to the end. Also, I don't use an elastic or anything else to tie off the braid and once I'm finished with the braid, I spray some of the texturising powder, all the way down the braid, which will give the hair some grip and keep the braid from falling apart or Becoming too loose, as I fan it out so when I'm Fanning the braid out and making it big, I hold the end of the braid with one hand, while I gently pull at the outside pieces of the braid starting from the end and working my way up To the top, and once I get the braid as big and as full as I want it, I bring it around to the back of my head and I tuck it under some hair and then I secure it with a bobby pin and of course I make Sure that the end of the hair and the bobby pin are covered, and so that's a super cute and simple braid style that works for just about any length.
